Hotel Fontana

Love everything about this hotel! It is run by a family and they are very attentive to all your needs. It was a former convent so the rooms are all a little funky in a good way and since we booked directly with their website, we were immediately upgraded to a room with a huge terrace. The location is perfect - just enough off the Grand Canal to be quiet and yet with a lively bar and restaurant scene right out the door. Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel if you are sensitive to noise. The breakfast room is sweet and the selections varied. Best coffee of all the hotels we stayed in. I can't stress enough how wonderful the staff was. This is now my go-to hotel in Venice.
Hotel Metropole Venezia

The location is very convenient. St. Mark's Square and the water bus stop are very close. The style is quaint, some old, and all the so-called sense of history. Ordinary rooms are small, especially the ones that take the elevator downstairs. Because the itinerary changed, I stayed one day in advance and only booked the general room at this location. Feeling bad, dark and narrow. In particular, the next-door tenant still carries a dog, and does not understand that pets are allowed. The dog was calling all night and called the front desk to solve it. The back trip changed to the third floor suite and it felt good. Relatively quiet, there is a motor sound from the ships on the river.

Good place: The location is super good, St. Mark's Square is the hotel by boat, and it is convenient to go anywhere by boat. The room is also very large, breakfast is OK, the balcony view of the reservation is also very beautiful, there is a happy hour every afternoon. Bad place: Ctrip booking pictures are deceptive. The scenery of the standard double room is the two pictures I sent out. It can be said that there is no scenery at all. If someone wants to book a good view, don't book a standard double room. Others' Ctrip photos are cheated! The hotel also arranged room 301 on the 3rd floor. Next to a balcony public bar toilet, a bit disgusting. Hotel for more than 3,000 nights, if it is this scenery and environment. Still persuade everyone to consider more.

We are just leaving after a beautiful 2 days in Venice. So happy with our hotel, so hard to book on line. But hotel was amazing. Directly in front of the water taxi spot - we can from the airport. We were on the second floor- no elevators. Hotel clean, rooms small but perfect for the 2 of us. Shower big, air conditioning amazing in the room which was good because it was 35 degrees outside. Everyone so friendly! Breakfast was included each am, hardy and so tasty! 5 min walk to San Marco square! Would definitely return. We didn’t get a lagoon view but we only came back to the room at the end of the day to sleep.
Hotel Bisanzio

I stayed here 3 nights 22 - 25 august 2022. Check in was efficient and friendly. Because we arrived early, the room wasn’t ready. The room itself was ok. Wood floors, fairly efficient air con. Terrace with a view over the rooftops and a glimpse of St Mark’s Basilica. A small television with international channels. Old style furniture in keeping with both the room and hotel. The bed was hard but comfortable and we both slept well. The WiFi is adequate. There have been a couple of sites I couldn’t reach which may have been the sites not responding. It was ok for emails and the social sites. The shower worked well enough, but we both found the bath floor slippy when showering. The toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap smelt nice, but were in miniature plastic bottles. We both agreed the soap smelt awful. The water in the sink was hot enough to wet shave in. There were plenty of towels but the towel hook spun round, so was basically, useless. Also, no face cloths were provided. Breakfast was good. Juice, cereals, cooked breakfast and the usual meats and cheeses. There is a small courtyard, which is great for an al fresco breakfast.
Londra Palace Venezia

We booked the Londra Palace over two years ago and were thwarted by Covid from travelling any earlier. It was well worth the wait. There is nothing to dislike about the Londra Palace. The staff are warm, friendly and efficient; the accomodation is of a very high standard and the view from a deluxe lagoon view room is simply stunning. It's worthwhile just watching the activity on and by the canal, whether pedestrian or boat. There was a great choice of food for breakfast and it was superb; as was the evening meal that we took in the Duo Leoni Restaurant. The Londra Palace is ideally located to hop on and off the Vaparetto, or to walk to San Marco and other attractions. Long story short.......we will have no hesitation in returning to the Londra Palace on our next visit to Venice.
