Knew after we seen the grubby exterior what was to be expected. Our room had dirty marked carpet, hole in the threadbare towel, mouldy dirty window frames, blinds that don't meet, and beds that looked that they had been slept in. We did an about turn and left never to return and recommend no one stays here as its unfit for habitation.

stayed here for 1 night as my friend had a party in the function room. dont be fooled by the outside . this place is a little gem, the room was very spacious and clean, had everything needed, only fault was the room was at the front so very noisey. but can't be helped, staff very friendly, and chatty. came down for breakfast, and it was spot on nicest breakfast I've had in a long time . had their own car park which you had to go over the road and open the gates yourself but that didn't bother me as i could see my car from my room and it was locked in a secure carpark hotel was very close to town centre walking distance and the train stationis opposite . the function room was really nice too. this hotel was a great place to stay. i would definitely come back.

Photos show how the room was advertised and then what we walked into! very much misleading photos that they have of the hotel room expecting it to not be anything amazing with the rates of the rooms but looking at the photos of what their advertising their rooms at and the room it self, what we walked into is very different. Very much disappointed But also the amount of black mould which was on the window frame right underneath where we where sleeping I have multiple photos of the mould which is a health risk and myself found needing my inhaler in the night,as I suffer with asthema, the only part of the stay we did enjoy was the breakfast, but would not be staying again.

Wife and self stayed at Kings head for 2 nights 13thMay.Stayed in room 9,twin beds.Painters were painting when arrived ,but not a problem.Staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff.Room was basic with en suite. But had Television, tea making facilities, biscuits,Rugby fans were in bar area and outside area, didn't bother us,as I support Warrington Wolves anyway. Full english Breakfast which was lovely.Would we stay again, erm???Yes we would 100%.Was ideal for shopping centre(Golden Square)Didn't have any problems arriving back late as there was a party on Sat night, and front door was shut but door staff let us in.Thank You Kings Head for a lovely stay. Will return again when over again from North wales.

Staff very friendly and welcoming and great atmosphere. The locals were great company too. Traditional English breakfast was good. When I arrived was a bit of a farce in relation to key to my room was a long wait to check in properly while they tried to locate key to my room. Tables not very clean at breakfast doesn't take much to give 'em a quick wipe and keep the tables nice, clean and presentable for your guests. No replacement towels in bedroom. But the biggest disappointment and what I found absolutely astonishing was that I even had to ask for replacement toilet roll for my room but when I did ask during my final evening there the two young girls behind the bar seemed totally and completely disinterested!!! I got up very early in the morning and I asked a gentleman member of staff on duty for some toilet roll as I had run out in my bedroom and by this time I really needed to use the loo. There was no toilet roll left in the gent's customer toilets either... This guy on duty seemed to take an age just to get me a few bits of toilet roll from what I gathered was the ladies customer toilets then said that he was sorry, that's all they had and that they were expecting a delivery. I just said don't bother and went to buy some toilet roll from Asda round the corner. I mean a place providing accommodation to people and something that is a basic and an essential requirement like toilet roll they run out of... What??? Well it's a good job I didn't need to go for a number two in the middle of the night isn't it?!!! To be honest I have stayed at much worse places though. The Kings Head was handy as right directly opposite the main train station and as we're in a cost of living crisis it was all about saving pennies but to be honest with hindsight I should have forked out a bit more to stay at one of the local Travelodges. Shame I had to write a negative review because I liked Andy who runs the place, he was a good host and very friendly.

The pub is ideally located for the Central Station and Rugby ground and quite easy to find.Just follow signs for the Central St.Free parking is available on first come, first served basis behind the pub, next to the Polski Sklep next door. We paid £72 including breakfast which is great value locally with many rivals charging exhorbitant rates and for Warrington this is difficult to justify. We stayed here because i had to pick up my partner from Manchester Airport. Both only approx 13/14 miles away. Yes,the Pub is a tad noisy, busy and rough and ready but i got a warm welcome from a lovely blond girl who checked me in.We had Room 9 on the top floor which does insulate you from the noisy bar downstairs. Some folk on here complain about sleeping difficulties due to the noise of the bar and two function rooms adjacent on the ground floor.Good news was the music is turned off around midnight,so my suggestion is to watch a bit of TV and to try the local Indian which is rerrific just 350 yards away(Ozmi).i.e.come back late to the pub!! Its definitely not the Ritz but our room was clean, great hot shower and a very edible breakfast the next day.

Met some friends at Central Station pre match and this was the nearest pub. I think they must clear the main dining room of chairs as it was cavernous inside. Loud music and full of rugby fans. Heatwave and they now have an 'astro-turfed' area alongside the hotel/ pub with picnic bench seating so perfect for a pint outside. No complaints, suited us perfectly, ideal for the rugby.
