Be prepared for a surprise. The facility is on a residential street! The building is an early1900s hotel, which in it’s day was probably upscale. It has been totally refurbished. It is not wheel chair friendly!!! Solo women travelers may feel uncomfortable walking on the street at night, but it does appear to be safe area, though not well lighted. If the desk clerk is a middle age man with a thick accent, you will be in a better mood in minutes. The woman clerk, basic. The rooms are basic but nice. TV and AC. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spotless. Do not be put off by the external optics. The lighted Motel 6 sign is the only indication that it is different from the surrounding buildings. Street parking only, and it’s crowded. the earlier you arrive the better. After 7 PMish, you may have to wait for a spot to open. I would stay here again.
