Xiaoshanju is a renovation of adobe houses in Guangxi in the 1980s and 1990s. The renovation of this kind of old houses is actually expensive. After living in Hangzhou, Lijiang, Yangshuo, and Banyan Tree Tianjin in the past few years, I found that hotels with the same routines are really not very interesting. Xiaoshanju has a history and warmth. You can stay in the B&B and drink tea, and you can borrow the B&B's small e-donkey to go out for a day.

The 700+ room charge is a bit different from the 900+ room at Guilin Elephant Trunk Hill Sheraton, which is only 200 rooms away. The facilities shouldn't be so different. If it costs less than 500, it's barely acceptable.
