Grand Hotel Yerevan - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Yerevan|1.55km from Museum of Folk Arts
*Yerevan Best Hotel. * It is my fourth stay in this member of the “small luxury hotel of the world” hotel. The Guests list of this hotel includes Royalties. Heads of states, Movie Stars , famous Musicians, and international celebrities. You can see their pictures and guest book writings in the hotel impressive hall-of fame. The hotel has a very unique location at the heart of central Yerevan, on one of the main roads in the city. I was staying in a beautiful Room which had classic elegant design. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, with excellent king size bed, high quality beddings, large Bathroom with upscale amenities. The rooms are disinfected and are very clean. The hotel has many disinfection Stations throughout the entire hotel. The Service is excellent on every level . A special compliment to Liana Hovsepyan the profesional front office manager that arranged for me the perfect accommodation. She is very professional and very kind and speaking fluent English like most of the staff . The breakfast in the hotel is one of the best you will find in Yerevan . They have good quality choices including fresh detox juices and tasty local products that you can find only in Armenia. The waiters staff are very effective and polite and I must give special complement to the excellent Restarants manager David who takes care of every detail. The hotel surrounding has many Restaurants, cafes and shops worth visiting. The hotel is always a buzzing place with VIP’s and guests thanks to the professional PR manager Syuzi Ayrumyan who makes everyone feel like VIP and is also the best personal shopper and adviser to all magical places and Shops in this Beautiful city . Other things i love in this hotel are the chic bar/cafe lobby area with live pianists every evening . I love the elegant spa, the fitness Room and the roof swimming pool. I love the Classic ambiance and I fully recommend Grand hotel as The best and excellent choice for business or pleasure in this amazing and charming city. I will be back .

The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan

This is everything you would expect of a modern Luxury Collection property. The rooms, the pool, the gym, breakfast... all top notch. Location is also perfect. There were, however some problems. Some serious. Some minor. Serious: - there is no way to contact the hotel electronically prior to arrival. There is no published email. I contacted them by Facebook Messenger, and they gave me an email address.... to which they did not reply. I recontacted via Messager... and they did not reply. No email address for a hotel in 2023 is not acceptable. - I was arriving ahead of the check-in time (10am vs 2pm) and checking out well before the check-out time (6am vs 12 noon). I explained the situation, said that I did not need my room early but i) if it was available great but ii) if it wasn't I would freshen up and change my travel clothes in the gym changing room. The answer - 'if you want the room before 2pm, you pay 50% of the daily rate. You may access the gym only after 2pm'. I was shocked. I understand that they are under no obligation, but refusing to allow someone to use the changing room?? I insisted. Eventually they relented. The changing room was perfect (and empty). But not good first impressions. - Returning from dinner, I was surprised that there is no evening turn-down service. I went to bed just before 10pm (I had been travelling) and did not think to put up DND sign because I was getting up at 6am and receiving room service breakfast. The turn down service came into my room just after 10pm when I was in bed. That is bizarrely late IMO (note that Yerevan is a late city with limited morning activity). - Room service breakfast was delicious except that orange juice was in a bottle. In Armenia, fresh OJ is available from any roadside stall. Surely the kitchens of the Alexander can produce it for breakfast? The hotel is expensive. It seems to be priced with the diaspora in mind who will not be surprised by NYC or Paris prices. For example, the $200 per hour for a massage is really extreme in this part of the world. I have no doubt about their claim to be the best hotel in Armenia, and I appreciated the luxury and service after some challenging travels through the Caucuses. However, I do think the management should get a grip on the service/value balance.

New Nairi Hotel

So, having read the reviews on this resource booked this hotel. So in order: 1. When the suitcase arrived no one helped, well, yes, somehow. The room is set with cheap furniture that is already shaking and cracking on the seams. Very dirty!!! The carpet was once light beige (you can see on the ladder whose little use is) turned dark grey. The tile in the hub in several places of split 5. No hot water, rather warm 6. All the walls are scratched 7. Most important! Awful mattresses, springs are drunk in the back. Well, it would be unsaving! After all, people first come to the hotel to rest from the road. 8. Rosetta 2, one in the bathroom, one deep behind the furniture. How to charge the phone is not clear. 9. The view from the window to the once good square in which dirty garbage and car tires are now rolling. 10. The elevator works only one. At the peak hour when everything goes for breakfast waiting for it is useless. 11. If you are not an amateur to get up early, it is not worth counting on breakfast. First because you just don't find a clean table, clean them aren't in a hurry. Second, everything will be cold already. Food looks not appetite, the range is very scarce. You will not find European breakfast here. Imcomprehensible salad and sausage with your ... Like so. Tea cups of the size of a pinch. When I asked for a big cup, it turned out that they had no other ones. And everything would be nothing if for example there were two stars. But on the wall at the elevators we see proud four. Gentlemen, lift the hotel level, remove one star and make at least honest three! And so it's just a divorce! Personally I'm no more a foot!

First of all, we were told to pay for the entrance of a 10 months old baby to the pool, although everywhere, even in very high-class places, the entrance of children under 3 years old is free. After I showed my own inflatable little pool, where my baby was supposed to swim, the hotel administrator did us a ”favor”, saying that if the child does not take a place in the common pool with his own inflatable ring, then we can skip pay for him THIS TIME. As for the pool itself. I can’t say that this place is worth the money for the entrance, as it looks not very nice and clear. The sun loungers under the roof were all in use by the time we arrived, and we had to move the other sun loungers under the roof and sit on the edge of the seating area, from where, if we sat down carelessly, we could fall down the stairs. And finally a cafe. The food here is completely tasteless. The pizza seems to be cooked on Armenian bread “matnakash” with impossibly hot pepper. French fries are limp and bend like spaghetti. So also in the end they counted more than we ordered. Highly don’t recommend this place’s pool.

We had a late check-in (about 00:00), we were waiting, in the room everything was clean, two towels per person, air conditioner is on. Bed, towels - everything is perfectly clean and smooth 👍🏻 Bed comfortable, sleeped well. The hosts are friendly and non-invasive. To the center they got to the taxi - here it is very cheap (150-209). We remained satisfied

The scenery is very good, especially at night. The hotel environment is also OK, the apartment structure is suitable for a family of three. However, it is very close to the expressway, the noise is loud, and the sleep is not good. Then the pillow is too high and it is really uncomfortable.

Все очень хорошо! Чистота и порядок как говорится! Очень вкусные завтраки и удобное месторасположение! Была всего одну ночь. Понравилось, что от аэропорта всего 15 минут езды. Очень приветливый персонал!
