No. 21 York

We had a great experience at No. 21 York. Great walkable neighborhood close to the train station, park and all of the York attractions. The breakfast was fantastic and Simon had so many good suggestions for tourists. Best accommodations of our 16 day trip to Great Britain.

No. 21 York is conveniently located 10 minutes from the train station, The Minster, the gardens, and so much more! We arrived by train and got to No. 21 York in 10 minutes. We were warmly greeted by our host, Simon. Our room was both charming and equipped with modern conveniences travelers appreciate! USB ports at the nightstands, modern bathroom, towel warmers, and even washcloths for us Yanks! I forgot to mention the spa like toiletries as well! Breakfasts were made to order every morning, from simple yogurt, to a full English breakfast. Homemade breads and locally sourced jellies and cheeses as well. Simply delicious! Homemade cookies in our room every afternoon was a real treat after a day of sightseeing. Simon went above and beyond when I needed assistance to get to the train station! He arranged a wheelchair at the station, and even drove me there. He was a real lifesaver! I can’t recommend No. 21 York enough!

Very comfortable b and b a short walking distance from most of the visitor sights in central York . Lovely home cooked breakfast made to order along with home made bread etc . Would recommend if visiting York and surrounding areas . Available car park is very handy although car not needed for visiting central York.

Lovely time at No. 21 York. Great location right next to train station and a very short walk into town center. Breakfasts were 5 star quality. The room was comfortable, albeit with a very small bathroom. Simon is a delightful man who helped us with a car rental issue. Would definitely stay again.

Visiting York for more than 30 years, this B&B has been the most pleasant. Situated ideally, close to the Minster and to the pub Hole in The Wall, not too far from station and reasonably priced. Room is spacious, quiet, beds are comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and lavish, with home-made bread, extremely tasty plum marmelade and beans. Andrea and Simon look after that you make the most out of it as well as your stay in York.

From making the booking in October to staying for 2 nights in March my experience has been great, I booked for our break as part of continuing 50th celebrations for my husband and his best friend, Simon and Andrea made you feel welcome from the start, If travelling by train the accommodation is only a 10 minute walk from the station, if by car you can reserve a parking spot behind the B&B..... (Subject to space).... No 21 is only a 10 /15 minute walk to York Minster and all the shops, bars and restaurants..... We was greated by Simon and given information about our room, keys, breakfast and he was full of information, Our room was lovely there was little personal touches like homemade biscuits, dressing gowns and slippers,umbrella, and toiletries At breakfast time we got a personal touch of a card and a bottle of procceco which was a nice surprise.... you could choose a time slot between 8am and 9.15am and you was given a choice of what you would like from full breakfast to continental,, Simon helped us booked city cruises as we had difficulty with the website but it was not what you know but who you know and we finally got booked on..... They are so friendly and full of local recommendations as where to visit and eat I would definitely stay here again Thank you Simon and Andrea for everything.

Gracious host with good knowledge of the area and attentive to our needs. Our room was exactly as expected. Simon was responsive to any and all needs. Parking was a plus. Food was excellent, with some originals in the breakfast and nearly all baked items home cooked. Hard to beat this couple and their hospitality.

Thank you so much for a lovely 3 days, your kind hospitality made us feel so relaxed our room was very cosy and warm and a bonus was the fridge which kept everything chilled. The location was excellent and only a 5 minute walk to the centre of York. We had a most enjoyable stay at No. 21 with Simon and Andrea. Both are so warm and treated us like family. The rooms are well done, and my wife particularly enjoyed the large fluffy towels and bathrobes. A perfect location, 10 minute walk into the old town. Simon warmly greeted us upon arrival and helped us with site seeing and dining plans for our stay. Andrea was a very warm and funny breakfast host whilst Simon cooked a very hearty and yummy breakfast every morning. Thanks again Simon & Andrea for being such wonderful host. Cheers!
