This is not a bad hotel at all, but certainly I wouldn't say the best.
I think the location is one of the strongest points as it's near plenty of restaurants and small grocery stores. The prices around the area for dining out are quite cheap and easy to spot.
The facilities look well kept, both room and public areas. They also did a good job at maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness to a good standard.
One aspect to definitely improve is the staff attitude towards the guest. Upon checking in, I was not given the breakfast coupons even if it was part of my reservation. When I show up to have breakfast, the waitress asked for the coupon. I don't speak Chinese so I used a translation app to say "They didn't give me coupons". Then I give her my phone so she can type up in Chinese to tell me what to do but gave up after 5 seconds of trying to type anything. She just gives me back my phone and hastily walks away, which I found very rude and inconsiderate.
Regarding room service, I prefer the cleaning to be done when I'm not in the room. Therefore, I pressed the "Do Not Disturb" button. To my surprise, the cleaning ladies would still come in and without any prior warning; they would just walk in without really announcing themselves. I found this quite disrupting and totally unacceptable.
