Great location with Free parking for our car. Very professional and friendly front desk. Magnificent stunning view surrounding the ocean.
Love the Rooftop restaurant up at level 17 which is the same building with our hotel room, so convenient. Fun to spend sometime in the ****** which is just in the ground floor of the hotel. Everything is within hands reach.
You can tell a lot about a motel by the toilet paper they use, and this place had soft but strong paper in place, so off to a good start.
This place isn't going to win any style awards any time soon, but it doesn't need to - it's a place to sleep, with good ckean sheets and a comfy mattress. It does what it says on the tin and is solid affordable accommodation.

We spent one night here. The location is great as it is close to the airport, just a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The building and its interior are quite old. One thing that bothers me is that they didn’t change the toilet paper, which gives an impression that the hotel doesn’t emphasize much on hygiene. It’s a place to stay at if you are on a budget.
The hotel room is very large, the design must be beautiful, and the breakfast is also very delicious. It's a typical American breakfast. It's very good to have a menu to order according to your taste. The house has a sofa. It's very considerate to have a waiter come to the room to open the sofa and put it on. Beautiful surroundings of the hotel

Very happy with my stay at Movenpick hobart from 18-21/01/25 (Sat to Tue) for AU$606 - the rate (20% off for diamond tier) is even better than their end of year sale via official website as an ACCOR member (15% off)
Since other's reviews of classic rooms seem depressing as there is no view at all.....thus I booked a superior room with city view. However being allocated to room 403 on the 4/F .....instead of full length windows as per promotional pics.....my window is relatively less impressive. Also there is a high pitch wheezing sound from the corridor......but the sound has gone once we open our door..... hopefully I can have a better room above 5/F next time. Chocolate hours and the day bed in the room are something that we liked most, not much interaction with staff so hard on their hospitality....but on the day of check in around 3pm, a cleaning staff just entered and shocked to see us inside. She thought the room needs to be clean hopefully not making her scared

We spent a cozy a night. Spacious, clean and adequately equipped. Beds are particularly comfortable! The receptionists were particularly helpful with bookings. An easy 1.5km to the city centre and harbour area.

THE FRONTDESK STAFF IS HELPFUL AND EXPLAIN THE RESTAURANT CLEARLY.
THE BREAKFAST IS GOOD.
THE BATHROOM SHOWER IS STRONG JUST TO RELAX THE TIRED ON SHOULDER AND BACK.
HOTEL LOCATION IS NEAR THE SHOPPING CENTRE WHICH IS AROUND 15 MINUTES WALK, AS WELL AS NEAR THE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT.

Parking is free. The front desk left the key in the mailbox after get off work on the day I arrived. The room is large, it is convenient to eat downstairs, and Coles and WWS are very close.
But there are no slippers and shower gel. We brought our own toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable slippers, etc., but they were basically used up after playing in Australia for ten days. It is convenient to buy shower gel and toothpaste in the supermarket, but you must pay attention to the fact that you can't buy slippers!
Tasmania is fun and the self-driving experience is great!

The hotel is strategically located, but has a long history. The facilities in the room are outdated. The bed is already collapsed. The air conditioner is facing the bed. Will not book again in the future. Just put a picture of a carpet!

SSuzyWe arrived late at night, about 10pm. I had tried to call to find out reception times but had had no luck getting through. Thankfully reception was open until midnight and check in was fast and efficient. The amenities where spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The accommodation pods are on stilts and there is some movement if people are walking around but it didn’t bother us at all. Our room (king bed) had a nicely appointed bathroom, nothing huge but still spacious enough, a large cupboard and an area with tea and coffee making facilities , the bedroom was huge with one whole wall of sliding glass doors which in summer would be amazing for opening up to the veranda which is full length. Fantastic views of the animal paddock and the ocean. All the staff we dealt with where so friendly and helpful. My only complaints are that the website has no contact phone number details that I could find and the number I got through Trip.com didn’t seem to work, just went to message bank, and there was no details on the website about reception times. The blinds in our room have a reasonable gab between them so a fair bit of light came though in the morning. I’m a light sleeper if it’s not pitch black so I woke early but nothing too concerning. Both easy fixes for the company to make. The accommodation pods have five rooms in them, so excellent for extended family vacations where everyone gets their own space but are all close by. The restaurant and cafe have fantastic views. There is a huge kids playground but I only saw it from a distance. It looked very nice from what I could see. There is animal feeding tours which would great for young families and grandkids. Highly recommend for a lovely quite holiday. Also on the plus side, very close to the airport and Hobart.
GGuest UserHotel was great, didn’t realise it was situated over the top of a pub. But we didn’t research. The supreme king bed was the absolute best thing ever! So comfy and nice big comfy pillows!
Sink to wash hands located in room not toilet which we found odd and cleaner only made 1 side of the bed not the other. But great friendly staff, clean room pretty darn good for the price!

LLina_USADo not stay at this hotel. The walls are paper thin, so you hear EVERYTHING—yes, EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean. The whole setup is bizarre (see photo). Who thought it was a good idea to cram the sink so close to the toilet that your elbow brushes it? Who looked at that and thought, ”Yeah, that’s totally normal and not awkward at all”? The carpet feels soooo dirty, and it’s ridiculous they don’t provide slippers. Actually, they do—but only if you’re willing to pay $6! Oh, and add another $5 for service fee!
On top of that, when I asked about why the water in the shower was lukewarm, and the response I got was that it’s because the hotel was at full capacity. How exactly is that my problem?! The receptionist told me to run the water for 10 minutes to ”fix” it… 10 minutes? Really? What happened to being eco-friendly?
Honestly, save your money and book somewhere else. It’s incredibly noisy, and you won’t get a peaceful night's sleep here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The only redeeming qualities are the fitness center, location and the helpful and very nice staff.

GGuest UserThis hotel is very conveniently situated for walking into the cbd. It is slightly dated, but the rooms are spacious and beds are comfy with quality linens and premium toiletries. Everything is spotlessly clean….housekeeping staff do an excellent job. The food options are a little limited, but what we had for dinner was of high quality and nicely presented….wait staff were very attentive and efficient.
Car parking was $10 per day which was very reasonable for a city hotel.
We would definitely use this hotel again.
GGuest UserGreat place, good facilities and clean rooms.
Shout out to the ****** who wake up at 5 am stand around talking and wake everyone up and then start their noisy cars and leave to go to another hotel.
YYusuf.HThe pods are extremely comfortable. At first I was afraid of the quality but I was nothing but satisfied. Everyone who was there was kind and respectful of each other and I would 100% stay again. The only thing I would criticise is the bathroom. Which could use a bit of a clean especially the showers.
GGuest UserThis accomodation was perfect for a short stay near the airport, without costing a fortune. It was priced well, was clean and had everything I needed. Check in and checkout were done without physical contact, and were seamless and easy. Accomodation was able to accomodate last minute late check in which I appreciated. The room was small, so for a couple with a lot of luggage might be tight, but suited my needs just fine. Would stay there again
