OG553Overall a wonderful stay at Oasis Glamping. I can think of so many pros after staying here for 3 days/2 nights. There are only 2 things I wish were a slight bit better but it’s definitely just small things.
Pros:
1. The staff is super welcoming and attentive. I had a warm welcome when I checked in and you can contact the staff at any time of the day and they are always super helpful.
2. The location of Oasis Glamping is also wonderful. It gives the feeling you are at a luxury private resort in the desert. Once you arrive at the front desk a driver picks you up and drives you into the desert about 1km from the front desk. It’s a short drive but it really allows you to actually feel the desert. Also going to Mingsha mountain and crescent lake is only about a 10 minute drive away.
3. Rooms are clean and cozy. I stayed in the R room and the room was extremely clean when I arrived, views were great, the room came with all of the amenities (tv, couches next to a desk that you can adjust the height of, king size bed, big windows next to both sides of the bed that’s perfect for stargazing at night. I was also greeted with instant noodles and 10 bottles of water which was super helpful.
4. Housecleaning was super quick and helpful. Around noon housekeeping would come by and restock your water and instant noodles and toiletries and also do a quick cleaning. Super fast cleaning but it was also super thorough. I’ve tracked some sand into the room and by the time housekeeping was done it was spotless. Also housekeeping staff were super nice and gave tips on when to head outside to avoid the heat and also nearby attractions.
5. Attractions on Oasis Glamping. Unlike a typical hotel, oasis glamping actually offers a few different fun activities most notably sand boarding. Behind where the rooms are, there is mountains of sand which you can climb up with the sandboards that are free to use and are stationed in convenient places. Once you climb up these sand mountains you get some of the most beautiful views especially during sunset. They also offer a free 3 minute ATV ride into the nearby desert and you can buy other packages that offer longer routes and at night there is a campfire with fireworks that occurs a short hike from your room. I think they also offered desert photography but I was too busy enjoying the other activities that I mentioned.
6. Small things that really stood out. After spending a day in the sand you’re very likely to have sand in your hair. The shampoo and conditioners in the showers not only smell great but also doesn’t leave your hair dry which I personally find super helpful. Other small things include having staff deliver your food straight to your room which I was extremely thankful for. Outside of the room there are two small chairs and a decent size camping table which a lot of guest including me used at night to either play cards or simply just sit and stargaze.
These are all of the pros of staying here. Below are the 2 cons I talked about above.
1. The toilet is a bit wobbly when you sit on it. Honestly it’s not a huge problem more of just a minor inconvenience.
2. The WiFi is a bit laggy at certain times of the day. But it also makes sense because everyone might be using the same WiFi when they come back to the rooms. So it’s totally understandable and definitely doesn’t ruin the experience of staying here.
Overall I would give Oasis Glamping a 10/10! Staff were super nice and staying here was super comfortable and I definitely would stay here again when I come back to Dunhuang. If you are looking for a place to stay in Dunhuang I highly recommend Oasis Glamping

This is the first time I've specifically waited to review a hotel:
1. Location: Less than 10 minutes from the high-speed train station, very convenient.
2. Service: Beyond five-star service! They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. There were welcome gifts upon check-in and also gifts upon check-out, plus a play area for kids.
An excellent hotel! 👍👍👍

NiniThis Hyatt truly impressed me so much that I'd come back to the city just to stay here again. First, the location is absolutely excellent. It's within walking distance to many key attractions, which is a huge plus considering Lanzhou's traffic can be quite bad due to its geography. Being able to walk to most places you want to visit is undoubtedly the best option. Next, the ambiance and service: the room offered beautiful views of the Yellow River, was spacious and comfortable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and meticulous. A young man at the front desk even extended my check-out time after learning about my flight schedule, which I really appreciated! The breakfast was extensive, featuring many local specialties, so you can enjoy authentic Lanzhou flavors without even leaving the hotel – fantastic! The hotel also has a free self-service laundry room, which is an absolute lifesaver. You can wash and dry everything within an hour, completely hassle-free! Everything else was great too; finding such a satisfying hotel during a trip is truly a joy! I hope the hotel continues to thrive, and I extend my most sincere thanks to the wonderful staff!

Guest UserThe hotel is very close to Zhangye West Station. The facilities are new and clean, and they offer a shuttle service to and from the station. The staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful. As soon as I entered the room, I saw a nine-compartment snack box, and in the evening, they even brought me a warm bowl of white fungus soup. When I checked out, they thoughtfully gave me two bottles of water. The breakfast selection was also very rich. I'm very satisfied.

The boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning. The boss was afraid that it would be inconvenient to go back after the Crescent Lake Music Festival, so he also came to pick us up, making our travel very convenient. The accommodation environment is also very good, and the steamed bun for breakfast is particularly large.

The best aspect of this stay was by far the owner. He was incredibly, incredibly helpful and friendly — from the moment I walked in the door he offered me a cup of tea, then provided tea and bread the next morning for breakfast, offered advice on what to see in the area, arranged a car to take me to Dalzong Lake, and finally even found me a spot on a local minibus going to my next destination. I couldn’t have done half the things I did during my stay in Xiahe without his advice and efforts on my behalf, so that alone made staying here fully worthwhile!
It’s worth mentioning that the guesthouse’s architecture is also absolutely beautiful, and everything looks quite new. It’s located down a quiet side alley off of one of the main commercial streets in town, which seems like the ideal placement.
On the accommodations: I stayed in one of the two tents erected on the second floor of the guesthouse. This was largely quite a good experience! The bed was very comfortable (with a heated pad), water and towels provided, etc. The tents are not in a closed-off area, but rather on the second floor/balcony area that also is used for sitting, serving tea, etc., so privacy is somewhat limited, but the whole guesthouse is relatively quiet anyway so it doesn’t feel like a public space. My only suggestions for improvement would be related to the bathroom: during my stay, the shared bathroom for the tents was a sort of temporary-style booth installed in the corner of the room with a toilet, sink, and showerhead. The bathroom was very clean and everything inside worked well, but its sliding door separated from the wall enough that there was always a substantial enough space on one side or the other that could be seen through (the door also didn’t lock and slid back and forth easily). The booth was also small enough that, realistically, I think it would be a bit of a challenge to actually use it to shower. If possible it might be worth looking into some simple fixes to improve these situations, but otherwise I have no complaints!

EEP888The hosts are very helpful and kind. They picked me up and dropped me off at the bus station, helped me to purchase the ticket to Maijishan Grottoes (including pickup after sightseeing). The male host also let me check out late due to a late afternoon train. This allowed me to rest.in my room a bit before the long journey. I spread the day walking around the village, walking up the scenic area and visiting the main scenic spot the next morning. The host has a simple menu but all in Chinese. I met up with a couple from HK and shared a few dishes together which cost roughly 40 CNY per person. Wild veggies are available from.thr menu which one must try!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! My partner kept praising my choice, and I totally agree. Highly, highly recommend! 😄
**Location:** Right by the East Gate of Dunhuang Night Market, super convenient.
**Facilities:** It has a classic, antique-style exterior and furnishings, but the rooms are equipped with modern smart technology. I snapped a few photos of the interior – that little chair is my favorite, so incredibly comfortable.
**Cleanliness:** Spotless, couldn't find a single fault. Plus, they have self-service laundry machines, which was great for refreshing our gear halfway through our Qinghai-Gansu trip. The breakfast is on the ninth floor, and when the weather isn't too hot, you can even dine outdoors, which is a lovely touch.

Title: An Unforgettable Oasis of Hospitality - A Solo Traveler's Dream!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cannot recommend this exquisite home stay highly enough! My five-day visit was nothing short of perfection, from the moment I arrived until my warm departure.
As a female solo traveler from abroad, safety and welcome are my top priorities, and this family went above and beyond to make me feel like part of their home. My journey began with a incredibly gracious complimentary pick-up from Dunhuang airport, which immediately eased any travel fatigue.
The hospitality only blossomed from there. The host family provided me with such genuine individual attention, offering personalized advice for visiting the breathtaking Crescent Moon Lake and the awe-inspiring Mogao Grottoes. Their tips were invaluable and helped me experience these wonders to the fullest.
Now, the food! Each meal was a delight—authentic, home-cooked, and prepared fresh with so much care. It was truly delicious and gave me a real taste of local cuisine.
My room was a haven of comfort and cleanliness, kept absolutely spotless throughout my stay. A wonderful daily touch was the replenishment of complimentary beverages: refreshing peach tea, pure water, and delicious coconut water—perfect after a day of exploring the desert.
The most touching moment came upon my departure when the hosts presented me with exquisite souvenirs from the Mogao Grottoes. It was a gesture of such kindness and generosity that I will forever cherish.
This home stay is a gem, perfectly suited for solo travelers seeking a safe and welcoming environment, couples looking for a unique retreat, or families wanting an authentic experience. I am already counting down the days until I can return next summer. A heartfelt thank you to the most wonderful hosts!

FaliangwangzhegirlThis stay was absolutely delightful! I was initially worried about the location being a bit out of the way, so I only booked one night. To my surprise, getting a taxi on the first night was super easy, so we extended our stay. While there aren't other guesthouses right around ours, we noticed a whole street full of guesthouses nearby, which seemed crowded and noisy. At night, lying in bed, you can hear the wind brushing against the walls, but it's not loud; it actually feels like being in harmony with nature. My husband and I also went gold panning – if you find gold coins, you can exchange them for prizes. We went enthusiastically, expecting a small sandbox like in a park, but it was a massive area!
**Mingsha Mountain View Afternoon Tea:** The chilled apricot peel tea was delicious.
**Fengmingsha Desert Restaurant - 30% off coupon for set meals:** After we landed, the butler collected our luggage and told us hotpot was ready, just waiting for us to freshen up and eat. The lamb wasn't ***** at all, and the dipping sauce was really tasty.
