Hotel near Tianshui City Square,Tianshui
It may not be green mountains and clear waters, but it may also be the dim lights, slowly savoring the fireworks in the Qingwaguan Lane. This homestay is located in the courtyard of No. 4 Xinmin Lane in Tianshui Ancient City. It is close to the central square of the ancient city, with a comfortable environment and convenient transportation. The homestay is decorated mainly in log style, with exquisite woven accessories, and the room design is ingenious, with both traditional classical charm and modern comfort. Whether it is a spacious and bright twin room or a warm and romantic double room, you can feel the warmth and comfort of home. Here, you can unload all your fatigue and enjoy a quiet and comfortable life. When night falls, sit in the yard, cook wine and fry tea, and look up to see the stars, as if time has slowed down, making people forget the troubles of the world. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Fuxi Temple. The central square and Haiying Malatang are a 10-minute walk away, with convenient travel, welcome to you!

"Had a great stay. It was off-season, so there weren't many tourists in Tianshui. The B&B is located inside the ancient city, with unique decor. Downstairs, you'll find all sorts of food options. The water heating system ensures no cold water, so it's instantly hot even in winter. The heating was excellent, felt like central air conditioning, and it wasn't noisy. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Fuxi Temple is not far away. A quick note on parking: there are two underground parking garages nearby. One is the Ancient City parking lot, and the other is the Cuijiaxiang parking lot. Strangely, the location the B&B gave me led me to Cuijiaxiang the first night, but then the same location led me to the Ancient City parking lot when I left. The Ancient City lot seemed a tiny bit closer. Both aren't too far, but it's best to confirm with the owner directly. I was contacted proactively by the host around 7 PM on the night I arrived in Tianshui. If you're visiting for tourism, I highly recommend staying here!"

"The hostel is good cared and clean. I think I saw a housekeeper every time when I went out from my room and she was always cleaning smth. That attitude already says a lot about the place. There is a nice not big common area with TV and we even watched a bit of Titanic, water dispenser with available cold and hot water. The staff is speaking English and they organise different tours around the area. It’s very handy. We took 2 tours with them and enjoyed a lot. One to PingShanHu canyon and another to Colourful Danxia. We also met many good-hearted foreign and local travellers there and made friends with some. Speaking about the room the condition was good enough. We shared one room with my friend. It’s a great value for money. Thank you for the incredible stay!"

"Everything else about the hotel was great, but its location within the pedestrian street has its pros and cons. The upside is that as soon as you step out of the hotel courtyard, you're on a food street, making dining super convenient. The downside is precisely because it's on a food street, getting around isn't the easiest. Overall, I'm satisfied."

Hotel near Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring,Dunhuang
"Overall a wonderful stay at Oasis Glamping. I can think of so many pros after staying here for 3 days/2 nights. There are only 2 things I wish were a slight bit better but it’s definitely just small things. Pros: 1. The staff is super welcoming and attentive. I had a warm welcome when I checked in and you can contact the staff at any time of the day and they are always super helpful. 2. The location of Oasis Glamping is also wonderful. It gives the feeling you are at a luxury private resort in the desert. Once you arrive at the front desk a driver picks you up and drives you into the desert about 1km from the front desk. It’s a short drive but it really allows you to actually feel the desert. Also going to Mingsha mountain and crescent lake is only about a 10 minute drive away. 3. Rooms are clean and cozy. I stayed in the R room and the room was extremely clean when I arrived, views were great, the room came with all of the amenities (tv, couches next to a desk that you can adjust the height of, king size bed, big windows next to both sides of the bed that’s perfect for stargazing at night. I was also greeted with instant noodles and 10 bottles of water which was super helpful. 4. Housecleaning was super quick and helpful. Around noon housekeeping would come by and restock your water and instant noodles and toiletries and also do a quick cleaning. Super fast cleaning but it was also super thorough. I’ve tracked some sand into the room and by the time housekeeping was done it was spotless. Also housekeeping staff were super nice and gave tips on when to head outside to avoid the heat and also nearby attractions. 5. Attractions on Oasis Glamping. Unlike a typical hotel, oasis glamping actually offers a few different fun activities most notably sand boarding. Behind where the rooms are, there is mountains of sand which you can climb up with the sandboards that are free to use and are stationed in convenient places. Once you climb up these sand mountains you get some of the most beautiful views especially during sunset. They also offer a free 3 minute ATV ride into the nearby desert and you can buy other packages that offer longer routes and at night there is a campfire with fireworks that occurs a short hike from your room. I think they also offered desert photography but I was too busy enjoying the other activities that I mentioned. 6. Small things that really stood out. After spending a day in the sand you’re very likely to have sand in your hair. The shampoo and conditioners in the showers not only smell great but also doesn’t leave your hair dry which I personally find super helpful. Other small things include having staff deliver your food straight to your room which I was extremely thankful for. Outside of the room there are two small chairs and a decent size camping table which a lot of guest including me used at night to either play cards or simply just sit and stargaze. These are all of the pros of staying here. Below are the 2 cons I talked about above. 1. The toilet is a bit wobbly when you sit on it. Honestly it’s not a huge problem more of just a minor inconvenience. 2. The WiFi is a bit laggy at certain times of the day. But it also makes sense because everyone might be using the same WiFi when they come back to the rooms. So it’s totally understandable and definitely doesn’t ruin the experience of staying here. Overall I would give Oasis Glamping a 10/10! Staff were super nice and staying here was super comfortable and I definitely would stay here again when I come back to Dunhuang. If you are looking for a place to stay in Dunhuang I highly recommend Oasis Glamping"

This is the first time I've specifically waited to review a hotel: 1. Location: Less than 10 minutes from the high-speed train station, very convenient. 2. Service: Beyond five-star service! They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. There were welcome gifts upon check-in and also gifts upon check-out, plus a play area for kids. An excellent hotel! 👍👍👍

Highly recommended! Staying in the Hyatt Regency Lanzhou's River View Suite was the biggest surprise of my Gansu-Qinghai trip. The high-floor panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the flowing Yellow River. Opening the windows revealed a picturesque scene of Lanzhou's mountains and river. During the day, the mighty river stretched out, and at night, the city lights sparkled – an irreplaceable view. The happy hour experience at the 16th-floor Club Lounge was fantastic; you could mix your own cocktails, and the signature beef noodles were authentic and delicious. Sitting by the window in the evening, watching the Yellow River sunset, created an incredible atmosphere. The hotel's location is convenient, close to the Waterwheel Park, and the staff's service was thoughtful and meticulous. As a benchmark international five-star hotel in Lanzhou, it's perfect for both leisure travel and scenic sightseeing. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lanzhou!

I stayed in a 4-person room. The room was minimalist and medium-small, with lockers – basic but comfortable. The common area is stylish and inviting, with plenty of seating, cozy corners, plants, kettles, and power outlets, though it’s on a high floor with a glass ceiling – warm when hot, cozy when cold, and the few fans aren’t always enough. The staff at the desk were friendly, laundry facilities available, though no snacks or cold drinks. The area is urban, among regular buildings, so not particularly attractive from the outside, but within walking distance to the museum and the metro station, with a large supermarket and several food options nearby. Overall, a decent place to stay in Lanzhou.

The boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning. The boss was afraid that it would be inconvenient to go back after the Crescent Lake Music Festival, so he also came to pick us up, making our travel very convenient. The accommodation environment is also very good, and the steamed bun for breakfast is particularly large.

The best aspect of this stay was by far the owner. He was incredibly, incredibly helpful and friendly — from the moment I walked in the door he offered me a cup of tea, then provided tea and bread the next morning for breakfast, offered advice on what to see in the area, arranged a car to take me to Dalzong Lake, and finally even found me a spot on a local minibus going to my next destination. I couldn’t have done half the things I did during my stay in Xiahe without his advice and efforts on my behalf, so that alone made staying here fully worthwhile! It’s worth mentioning that the guesthouse’s architecture is also absolutely beautiful, and everything looks quite new. It’s located down a quiet side alley off of one of the main commercial streets in town, which seems like the ideal placement. On the accommodations: I stayed in one of the two tents erected on the second floor of the guesthouse. This was largely quite a good experience! The bed was very comfortable (with a heated pad), water and towels provided, etc. The tents are not in a closed-off area, but rather on the second floor/balcony area that also is used for sitting, serving tea, etc., so privacy is somewhat limited, but the whole guesthouse is relatively quiet anyway so it doesn’t feel like a public space. My only suggestions for improvement would be related to the bathroom: during my stay, the shared bathroom for the tents was a sort of temporary-style booth installed in the corner of the room with a toilet, sink, and showerhead. The bathroom was very clean and everything inside worked well, but its sliding door separated from the wall enough that there was always a substantial enough space on one side or the other that could be seen through (the door also didn’t lock and slid back and forth easily). The booth was also small enough that, realistically, I think it would be a bit of a challenge to actually use it to shower. If possible it might be worth looking into some simple fixes to improve these situations, but otherwise I have no complaints!

I brought my parents, who are in their 70s, to visit Maiji Mountain. The hostess was incredibly warm and attentive. After arriving at the North Gate 1 of the Maiji Mountain scenic area, we just made a call and she came directly to pick us up and take us to the guesthouse. The room was spotless, not a speck of dust anywhere. For dinner, we had mushroom stew with free-range chicken and stir-fried wild vegetables – truly delicious! 😋 The next day, she dropped us off at the entrance of the Maiji Mountain scenic spot at 7:30 AM, so we were the first ones to go in at 8:30 AM. After our visit, we saw a super long queue had already formed outside. Afterward, we took a taxi to explore Xianren Cliff and Jingtu Temple. Finally, the hostess even drove our luggage to the Line 34 bus stop to drop us off. It was a truly perfect day, so relaxed and easy. We avoided the crowds in the morning and didn't have to wait in long lines, making for a 10/10 visiting experience. Huge thanks to the hostess for the pick-up and drop-off service!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! My partner kept praising my choice, and I totally agree. Highly, highly recommend! 😄 **Location:** Right by the East Gate of Dunhuang Night Market, super convenient. **Facilities:** It has a classic, antique-style exterior and furnishings, but the rooms are equipped with modern smart technology. I snapped a few photos of the interior – that little chair is my favorite, so incredibly comfortable. **Cleanliness:** Spotless, couldn't find a single fault. Plus, they have self-service laundry machines, which was great for refreshing our gear halfway through our Qinghai-Gansu trip. The breakfast is on the ninth floor, and when the weather isn't too hot, you can even dine outdoors, which is a lovely touch.

This was my first stop in China and I’m so happy that I stayed in Dunhuang at Baibaili Hotel. I was looked after so well, the hospitality of the staff extended many times for several necessities and I’m touched by their hospitality. This will for a very long time, be my remarkable first impression of China, its people and their culture. The location is perfect if you want to stay a bit further out from town and enjoy the silence of being closer to the desert and the stunning design of the place. Beautiful and comfortable room, all the final touches refined every day and after 24 hrs of travelling; a generous fruit and snack plate that grounded me sweetly into Dunhuang upon arrival and farewelled me just after mid-autumn with a beautiful moon cake. Their communication was frequent and always made sure I had what I needed. Thank you so much Baibaili
