I recently had the pleasure of staying at [Hotel Name], and my experience was nothing short of wonderful from the moment I arrived until the day I checked out. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, combining modern elegance with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lobby immediately gave me a great impression – spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated – and the staff at the reception greeted me with genuine smiles and efficiency, making the check-in process smooth and quick. The room I stayed in was exceptionally comfortable. It was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything I needed, from a cozy bed with crisp linens to a well-stocked minibar, a flat-screen TV, and reliable Wi-Fi. The bathroom was another highlight: clean, modern, and fitted with high-quality amenities. One small detail I appreciated was how quiet the room was; I could truly relax without any disturbance from outside noise. The service throughout my stay was outstanding. Every member of the staff, from housekeeping to the concierge, went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. They were always polite, attentive, and ready to help with any request, whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local restaurants, or providing extra towels within minutes. The hotel’s location was another big plus. It is conveniently situated close to [city center / tourist attractions / business district], making it easy to explore the area without spending too much time commuting. Despite being centrally located, the hotel still offered a sense of peace and privacy, which I really appreciated after a long day out. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. From fresh fruits, pastries, and cereals to hot dishes and freshly brewed coffee, everything was delicious and well-prepared. I also had the chance to try the restaurant for dinner one evening, and the quality of the food and presentation truly exceeded my expectations. The facilities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-maintained and equipped with modern machines, and the swimming pool area was clean and relaxing – a perfect spot to unwind. I also noticed the hotel offered a business center and several meeting rooms, which would be ideal for corporate travelers. Overall, my stay at this hotel was outstanding in every way. The combination of comfortable rooms, excellent service, convenient location, and great amenities made my trip unforgettable. It is a very historic hotel, and the location is very close to the city. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options.

Very nice, well priced hotel, close to the central train station. We only stayed in Ulm one night, but the hotel was great for our needs. Clean, comfortable, great bed/pillows and shower. Because of our travel, we arrived 30 minutes before the 3pm check-in time, and were not able to check-in early. I am not sure if this is standard practice, or the result of a busy weekend trying to get all the rooms ready. Just be aware, if you have an early arrival. We would stay here again if we came back to Ulm

The highlight of our stay at Bad Hotel Überlingen was definitely the spa area. It felt very new, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The sauna resting area, in particular, stood out—it connects directly to a garden, and from there you have a beautiful view over Lake Constance. Stepping outside for fresh air between sauna sessions, with that view in front of you, was genuinely relaxing. The gym, on the other hand, felt a bit disappointing. It’s quite small, and strangely, there were no weights available. It seemed like all the equipment was locked away in a physio or personal training room, which made the space feel incomplete for anyone wanting a proper workout. Breakfast was a much more positive experience. The selection was excellent, easily better than what I’ve come across in most German hotels. Everything was well presented, and the refilling was always timely, so nothing ever felt empty or neglected. That said, the service was a little inconsistent. One staff member—a dark hair runner in the restaurant—handled a small issue with a pepper grinder poorly, initially dismissing the concern instead of checking it. Thankfully, another server stepped in quickly and resolved the situation before it escalated further. Parking is available either at the hotel or at the car park across the street, both at €17 per day, which is straightforward but something to factor in. What really ties everything together is the location. The surroundings are beautiful—the lakefront promenade is just there, perfect for a walk, and there’s a nearby park with a charming tower that adds to the scenery. The Bodensee-Therme Überlingen is also just around the corner, making it easy to extend that spa-like feeling beyond the hotel itself. In the end, Bad Hotel Überlingen is a place where the setting and spa experience really shine, even if a few details—like the gym setup and some service moments—don’t quite match the overall potential. This is one of the very few hotel I would love to stay over again.

The hotel is new and in a good location, very close to the train station and there is REWE downstairs. The room was very clean the first day I checked in. However, the room was not cleaned for the next two days and the trash can was full. I told the front desk that there was no body lotion in the room but there were two bottles of shower gel, but they didn't come to replace it.

The hotel was ordened. Unlike other Ibis styles, it was a little too simple. It looked like a red Ibis hotel.

The location is great, with a bus stop nearby and plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. As for the room, it's not very spacious. The bed is a bit high because you can store suitcases underneath, which is convenient but makes the bed itself higher.

The hotel provides a hairdryer and a kettle. It's clean and housekeeping is very prompt. There's a huge mall right next door that has pretty much everything. Walking from the main station with luggage is a bit of a trek, but you can take the light rail, which stops directly in front of the hotel. Being so close to the tracks, you can hear the train at night, which might be a little noisy. Breakfast is plentiful, with a great variety of breads to choose from.

If we could give this hotel a review of 10/5 we would. We stayed for an extended time (16 days) and during that time we experienced the best and friendliest service. The reception staff was always friendly and cheerful. Everyone was ready to help with any question we had. Breakfast was amazing. The selection was terrific. And every morning we were greeted by the pleasant and happy staff. One staff member told me she loves her job. Who doesn't want to stay in a hotel where the staff love working? Several days my mother who travelled with me was ill and the staff made it so easy for me to take breakfast to her in the room. The room was terrific. We requested the accessible room and were not disappointed. Despite Ettlingen not being the most wheelchair friendly, Stadthotel Engel had every accessibility need addressed. The front entrance has no stairs. They have an elevator that stops at the breakfast room level. The bathroom in our room was wheelchair friendly with a raised toilet, fully accessible shower, and vanity that could accommodate a wheelchair underneath. We did not have a wheelchair but my mother has a walker which requires many of the same accommodations. The room has air conditioning for those who are concerned about that. The location is amazing. From the hotel you are directly in the old city and can walk to many stores, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel entrance is located in an inside court area where there are tables that can be enjoyed during the nice weather.

The first thing that really stands out about this hotel is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It doesn’t feel like one of those big, cold hotel chains where everything is a bit too perfect, controlled and inflexible. You can feel that this is a hotel that has lived, that has some history and soul But that definitely doesn’t mean the rooms are outdated, unclean or below standard. Quite the opposite. The rooms, especially the junior suites, are really big and very clean, with plenty of space. The terraces are a MEGA plus too. Honestly, good luck finding hotels with a real terraces nowadays. And the location is, in my opinion, the best in Bad Peterstal. The hotel is up on the hill, so the views from the rooms are just amazing. I definitely recommend getting a room with a view. There’s also a real sense of trust and openness throughout the place. It almost feels like staying in a huge family home — obviously a very big one, since it’s a hotel. This atmosphere is also very much reflected in the manager, who is super friendly and welcoming. He was able to accommodate a few specific requests, when I asked for something, there was always a solution. That’s something you really don’t get anymore in modern chain hotels, where there’s basically no room to customise your stay. Here, you really feel that there’s someone who cares to make things work. For me, this is easily the best hotel in Bad Peterstal. If you’re in the area and you’re lucky enough to see a room available, go for it!
