The service was great. Staff were lovely and helpful.
The room was sufficient but the bathroom sink was cracked.
The breakfast was ok - lacking freshness and not very good quality - appreciate it was free/part of the room cost, but we left it and went elsewhere. The choice of alternate milks was also limited, with just soya available. The fruit juice was watered down in the dispenser - that was also left.
We won't be using Holiday Inn express hotels in the future.
This hotel is very pleasant, I like the hotel environment, it is really beautiful, the front desk service is also warm, the breakfast is rich, the bed is very comfortable, all of which makes us feel very good.
Two big and one small beds, the room is big enough, and the bathroom is fine. The stairs are too narrow, the old house, the first floor is a bar restaurant, convenient dining, good taste, parking lot in the inner courtyard
Beautiful accommodation full of British classical style, although in the uninhabited countryside, but not far from the highway exit, it is very convenient to drive by car.
The hotel staff is very friendly and willing to assist passengers. The order-style breakfast is especially rich. The dining environment also has beautiful window views, which is refreshing!
Unfortunately, we had a bad weather when we checked in, and we couldn't take a walk near the hotel. We had the opportunity to stay a few more days.
It was a newly refurbished, lovely hotel, and we were very satisfied with our room and the service. We would love to return, but the duvet cover was torn, the mattress wasn’t very comfortable, and the location was a bit far from the station. Overall, though, it was a good experience.
Hotel was perfectly located for where I wanted to be. Overall good experience, there is a Trainline behind the accommodation which was noisy and noticeable but not enough to disturb my sleep. Room was lovely and cosy and decor was excellent. Shower was fantastic, evening food was ok but nothing special, breakfast was excellent
Our stay may have been coloured by the rainy weather because in sunnier times the views from the Leigh Park Hotel would have been even better. The train station to Bath from Bradford upon Avon is very walkable but it is downhill from the hotel (some very steep bits) nearly all the way and after a busy day in Bath we elected to get a taxi back the walk back up that hill would have put a downer on the day (and I normally do 4 mile runs twice a week, so I am pretty fit!) The room we had was really big, as was the bathroom. The shower was really powerful and got warm almost immediately. The staff were really friendly and the the ambience of the hotel was classy. The breakfast area looking out over the grounds was really nice and I'd definitely like to sit there and enjoy a drink on a summer's evening. I managed to charge my electric car with the type 2 charging station. Unfortunately, it only delivered 7 kW so I only managed a small top up. The hotel breakfast was self service but the containers that were holding the food failed to keep it particularly warm. That is something that could be improved. Also the breakfast choice could have been a little wider (e.g. no tomatoes were offered as part of the English Breakfast). Having said that the breakfast tasted good. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would consider visiting again.
Location is good. Super service. But the rooms and amenities are too old, need to be repaired and renovated. The bathroom sink countertop has lots of stains.looked too uncomfortable. Coffee bar was not clean at all .
Lovely hotel, polite and friendly staff, ample parking, excellent location in the heart of town. Only negative is the stains on the bathroom walls that could easily be removed with a little more attention to detail and the cold tap hardly let out any water. Unfortunately there wasn't any real ale available whilst we were there thus stopping us from enjoying that facility.

A Comfortable Stay with a Few Surprises As one of Marriott’s brands, I expected a little more, but overall, the hotel delivers the essentials for a pleasant stay. The rooms are very spacious, with two double beds—perfect for a family holiday. The indoor pool and the gym is a nice touch, though it’s worth noting that external guests can also use it. Things to keep in mind: Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in. Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight. TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels. Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall: The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice.
Lovely stay on 1st floor, lovely modern rooms, comfy bed, great TV and such a lovely bathroom, great shower and most amazing stay we have ever had here air-conditioning works a treat too :)
KKhooI wouldn’t think anything would go wrong as with one-night stays at a lot of the hotels I’ve stayed at.
I love the unique the hotel exudes, very much accentuated with the internal steps, turns and multiple corridors.
It can be rather challenging if you have heavy luggage, especially when it’s more than a piece. Thumbs up for Jamie (the receptionist on shift) as he has been of great help.
I’d give the full English breakfast a miss if I’d stay for more than a day as it’s virtually drenched in oil.
There’s a pressure pump in the bathroom which sounds every 20 minutes and that made it difficult to sleep as I’m a light sleeper.
The room which I have been assigned heats up when the sun hits the west facade of the hotel and it’s very uncomfortable if one doesn’t leave the room.
All in all a pleasant stay and I hope my feedback will provide some impetus for improvement.
Lovely stay at a charming hotel just on the edge of the city. Beautiful building, cosy room, stylish design in the bar and lobby and super friendly staff at reception, housekeeping and at breakfast. Thank you!
I had a pleasant stay at The George Hotel. The location is excellent and very convenient, especially for visiting Stonehenge. The room was clean and comfortable, and the heating with adjustable temperature was a big plus during winter. Breakfast was served on time and was decent. Overall, a good value stay with a great location.
