I have such a great experience staying in Crown Plaza Hotel with my boyfriend a few days ago. The hotel location is very prime and convenient. It is just about 15min walk to Toyama Station where you can get anything. The staff is very helpful, kind, friendly and exceptionally well-trained. The lady from the front desk and the lady who helped us with the luggage are so friendly and helpful.
The facilities may be a bit old fashion there but the maintenance is really good. You can see how much care they put in maintaining this hotel. There's no dust lollll
We enjoy the buffet style breakfast very much as there is a wide variety of food. Both western style and Japanese style. Local produce are yummy and fresh and I would really love to stay there longer to enjoy my breakfast before heading to Tateyama.
They have a bar on the top floor which overlooks the whole city. Go there at night would be lovely and the interior design is classic (not old at all). We enjoy our stay in this hotel very much and recommend this to anyone who are visiting Toyama.
Is a 5 star hotel, spacious room, high quality hotel staffs and excellent breakfast. I will give 4 star for housekeeping unfortunately. I have lighted up ‘Privacy’ but yet they still came in to make-up the room. Well, be it. After which, realised floor mat and the top pyjamas were gone. 4 star for the very clean room. Still, highly recommended hotel.
Honestly, I don't know where to start. I'm completely touched by my experience at this hotel. First, the rooms are clean, big, surrounded by nature, greenery, and a beautiful lake that you can observe for a perfect morning scenery. Secondly, the facilities are top notch! Everything is clean! All facilities are provided to you with great quality; clean floors, perfect white clean towels, the hot spring water is clean, the pools are clean, the shampoo and body wash liquids smell amazing! (Like the baby colon your mother would give you as a child with the blue rounded top!) AMAZING! However, I had a very special interaction with one of the staff who deserves a medal for being so responsible and ensuring that her guest was in good hands.
Unfortunately, I got sick one morning while I was checking out. I was having an anxiety / panic attack that made me really disoriented. I didn't feel safe driving afterwards and I requested for the ambulance to be called. The kind and beautiful lady at the front desk handled all my paperwork, and ensured clear communication between doctors and nurses. After getting a physical check at the hospital for 2 hours, the results came back fine. There was no problem at all, however, the lady from the hotel staff was still there to see me out and ensure that I was safe and ok to drive. She was amazing! Thank you a million times for providing a fantastic place to stay, but also for taking great care of me!
( I don't have any pictures of the hotel because pictures aren't allowed to be taken within the hot springs, but trust me when I say, everything looks just as it is in the pictures. ) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
The hotel facilities are new and clean, and it provides free welcome drinks and buffet breakfast. There is a small bathing area, free parking and many different daily necessities (the most surprising thing is mouthwash). The price-performance ratio is really high! It is very close to Kosugi Station, and there is a large supermarket opposite the hotel, which is really convenient!
This was my first time using this hotel, but I am very satisfied with the price and location in front of the station.
The building is a little old, but it is carefully cleaned and I had a comfortable stay. There is a parking lot just a minute's walk away for 250 yen for 24 hours, so I would recommend this hotel for business or travel purposes.
If I go to Takaoka again, I will definitely use this hotel.
The room I booked should be the largest room with the best view in the hotel. It is indeed very comfortable and the buffet is very rich. However, there are many people and you need to go according to the scheduled time when checking in. Fortunately, I went later than the scheduled time. There were too many people queuing up when I went early. Because I didn't make an appointment for breakfast, I had to queue up on site, which took longer. I didn't expect so many people to travel in the off-season. I guess it's because the cost-effectiveness is high. The buffet is worth half of the room price.
The hotel experience is excellent, the rooms are spacious and bright, and the facilities are complete. The service staff are enthusiastic and responsive. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes authentic. Good value for money and a pleasant stay. Overall evaluation: This hotel is worth recommending, whether it is business travel or leisure travel, it is an ideal choice.
Relatively small hotel, but very clean and tasteful. The onsen (public bath) was a bit crowded in the evening. Breakfast buffet has a good spread. We enjoyed our stay.
The location of the hotel is superior, and the service attitude of the hotel service staff is very good, but the English communication is not smooth, the hotel breakfast is very good, the room is relatively large compared with Tokyo. Generally speaking, it is a good choice to come to Uozo for business.
After turning on the light switch, I found that there was no light. Maybe the light is really broken. But I found that if everything else in the room was turned on, there was enough brightness in the room. In addition, the hotel should have many years of history, and the taps are all used to adjust the temperature by mixing hot water with cold water.

GGuest UserStayed one night before alpine route. Toilet compact but sufficient. Room pretty decent sized, but only brought backpacks instead of luggage, so can’t comment for sure. Near to train station and easy base for alpine route.
Had to wait super long for elevator due to congestion, staff eventually helped with staff elevator.
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel (about 7 min walk to the station) and was a great Ryokan experience as the room was traditional and had a breath-taking view. Futons were sufficiently comfortable - but wished there was the whole Ryokan welcome and fanfare.
Staff was welcoming but did not speak much English though they had papers of English instructions all ready. There was a free shuttle out of the hotel at fixed timings to the nearest Shinkansen (Unazukionsen Station)
Onsen was relaxing and was supplied with good quality products for every aspect of grooming. Lots of vending machines were available, there was a souvenir shop on site though pricey. We just did not enjoy the corridors as it gave out a creepy vibe (due to it being an older establishment), hence, we did not enjoy moving around the hotel). Facilities were beautiful and well preserved.
Food as part of the experience was a good and large helping. We opted for the full seafood experience but it had a lot of sashimi or cured seafood which was not to our own liking (we did not really know what we signed up for, really our fault!) Breakfast was a good spread and really hearty. A lot of traditional and local specialties to experience!
Overall a great stay!
(Shops in the vicinity closes at about 5pm and open at 10am)

许许A 20-minute drive away from Shirakawa-go, the hotel facilities and services are okay, that is, there is no separate toilet in the room, only public toilets, there is a small hot spring bath, breakfast is very rich, and there is a Gassho in the opposite house.
CChristine TsoiFor anyone travelling along the Tateyama Alpine route, I would highly recommed a stay on the mountain so you can enjoy the scenery without rushing. We love Ryokan (Traditional Japanese Inn) because they always offer delicious course meals (dinner & breakfast) and a public bath. We even enjoyed a free flow of local sake and liquor at dinner! The Midagahara Hotel even offer hiking guides, boots and stargazing guides after dinner. It was a shame that we did not take the hiking trail due to the weather condition (foggy and low visibility), but the stargazing part did not disappoint - we were able to see a sky full of stars by our bare eyes. If we could withstand the cold we could have seen the Milky Way. The hotel shop also offers a wide range of local specialties. We had a nice sleep in our Japanese style room and woke up to a sea of clouds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the Tateyama Alpine route.

GGuest UserIt's an old hotel. But location still within 7-8 mins walk from JR Toyama Station. Infront Hotel have the City Tram station.
Hotel corridor was low and lighting was very dim.
Room are justifiable for single room.
The only problem was the bed mattress are too soft, when u sit on the bed, u can feel the mattress immediately pressed till the spring bottom of the mattress haha.
Hotel do provide refreshment machine for coffee (with bean blending) and soft drink at the ground floor.
Didn't expect my stay are come with the breakfast, unfortunately I only can enjoy 2 days among 4 days stay, due to headed out before the breakfast serving.
The breakfast have local Japanese n western variety too, located high floor with good view.
MMay HoniThe hotel is a 10-15min walk from Toyama Station. Close to a conbini is a plus. Stayed only for a short period because went to Shirakawa-go early in the morning.
SScott DSIt is a well-located hotel located 2-3 minutes walk to Toyama Station. The distance you have to travel for a meal is also short because it is a restaurant nearby. However, I cannot have breakfast because I have to leave the hotel early in the morning for the Alpine Route trip, so it is a pity that all the accommodation plans provided by the hotel include breakfast.
