I took my mother out to play and chose Yamanakako specifically. There were few people and it was quiet to see the red leaves. I stayed for two nights and slept until I woke up naturally. The environment was very good and I could walk out to see the red leaves festival.
The transportation was very convenient. I rented a bicycle from the boss. I rode to Yamanakako on the first day, took the bus to Kawaguchiko at the door on the second day, and continued to ride. On the third day, I rode to Oshino Hakkai. đ
I was too lazy to go to Gotemba, but it was also very convenient after looking at the map. In the evening, I ate the boss's recommended Shoya and the boss's beef hot pot. The boss's wife was very enthusiastic and honest. Next time I bring my baby here to stay and continue to ride a bike. đđ
The room is very Japanese, I like it very much, and it is very quiet at night, which is very suitable for a rest stop during a city transit trip.
The boss is very nice, we can communicate in Chinese, and the local uncle who manages the B&B is also very nice. I was alone that day, and he waited until I came to check in very late.
The room is close to the Yamanakako Plain, and the transportation is relatively convenient. If you go to Tokyo, you can take a bus to Shinjuku here.
Finally, there are three regrets. One is that my phone fell on the way there, and I will not buy a folding screen againđ (the boss is still very active in providing help)
The second is that the B&B seems to have not found a hair dryer, and the supplies can be placed more prominentlyâşď¸
The third is that the restaurant here closes early, but there is an izakaya and 711 next to it.
Very satisfiedâşď¸

This house is very clean and tidy, the service is very good, although not close to Kawaguchiko, in fact, not far from the Koh Samui, and there is a supermarket nearby, 100 meters there is a roast meat shop, very convenient, the most unfortunately in the bad weather, can not see Mount Fuji from the room, very recommended for families to stay
Tucked away in lush greenery with a gentle stream right next door, this villa is surrounded by a windbreak forestâkeeping it cool in summer and perfect for relaxing forest bathing under soft rays of sunlight.
Located in the peaceful Oishi Pension Village, youâre just a short drive from Lake Kawaguchiko, where the majestic Mt. Fuji reflects on the waterâs surface. In spring, enjoy a variety of cherry blossom viewsâsnow-capped Mt. Fuji as a backdrop, or stunning sakura-lined paths and castle scenes.
This is not a place for loud partiesâbut itâs perfect for cozy, quality time with loved ones. Whether itâs birdsong in the morning, golden sunsets, or a sky full of stars, every moment here brings peace and joy.
Thank you for your help.
My only request would be that you could provide some kind of guidance for the hotel parking lot, as it is very difficult to find. I felt that if I went there for the first time, I would end up wandering around the area.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally spacious with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a restful nightâs sleep. The bathroom was large and well-appointed. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor onsen, which was both relaxing and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to others.
We were very satisfied with the kids' playroom, which was our main attraction.
It was very spacious and had a wide variety of play equipment, so the kids had plenty of fun from check-in to check-out without getting bored.
In addition, there was a free shuttle to a nearby ski resort in the winter, so it was great that we could easily go out to play in the snow without having to drive.
However, the other selling point, all-inclusive, was a disappointment.
The lounge hours were limited, and there were no lids or trays for drinks, as if they were not expecting people to take drinks back to their rooms.
It is clear that one of the reasons the lounge was crowded was that the usage time was short.
Even at the restaurant buffet, there were no cups to take back to the room.
If the buffet is limited to 60 minutes, I would like you to take your coffee home and relax in your room.
Of course, the refrigerator in the room was empty.
In the end, we had to buy expensive plastic bottles, so it is not inclusive at all.
And there is only one vending machine, which is inconvenient.
Think of the lounge as just a welcome drink.
I would like them to consider changing the label to welcome drinks or making the lounge available at any time.
I felt that the issues mentioned in other reviews,
⢠Long lines at check-in
⢠Luggage carts available on each floor
⢠Bathroom amenities
were addressed by the facility.
Awesome! The hot springs are great! The room is also quite big ~ because there are not many people staying there, it is very good to go to the hot springs, and overall it is very clean!
And the breakfast in the morning is also delicious. The izakaya opposite the dinner is super good and deliciousđ¤¤
Came here for my friendâs birthday celebration. Hotel has tea ceremony on arrival (free of charge) at around 4pm, in a traditional tea house facing a beautiful river, the hotel also gave us a glass of a Japanese sake (also free of charge) that we can enjoy next to the river. Room is big, came with a private hot spring in the room, hot spring and living room is facing mt Fuji, very nice room. Thereâs a traditional drum shows after dinner everyday, also a small game after the show. We were very lucky that we both got a gift from the game. There was cockroaches in the room, one big cockroach and a few very tiny cockroaches in the bathroom area, others than that, itâs a beautiful place to stay. Still love this hotel v much.

GGuest Userbear in mind this is a very very old hotel, the design is like in the 80s. we didn't enjoy futon bed on our first night, and the hotel was kind enough to provide us a bed divan (i'm not sure what is the proper term to that) on our second stay. very beautiful scene and we were lucky to have a clear view of mount fuji every morning! they also have onsen on the 7th floor, it'd be great if they do clean the windows so we can enjoy the view of fuji while soaking in the onsen.
GGuest UserVery clean, good breakfast buffet. Super nice and helpful stuff. But itâs located on top of a hill and you need the shuttle bus and it only runs at 9.45am to go further away and thereâs no shuttle bus to come back. Otherwise it runs throughout the day to the bottom of the hill. Taxis and public transport is not good since itâs a small town so plan accordingly .
PPICHEWA_I arrived at Kawaguchiko Station in the afternoon and decided to leave my luggage at a locker near the station before visiting Oshino Hakkai. I returned to the station around 5 PM to retrieve my luggage and called the hotel to inquire about their FREE Shuttle Bus service. Luckily, I caught the shuttle bus back to the hotel in time. The driver was very polite and helpful, assisting me with my luggage both ways.
The hotel had a nice and standard atmosphere, both inside and out. The staff at the lobby were friendly and spoke excellent English. They were able to provide me with all the information needed.
My room was a 20 square meter Lake View Room with a stunning view of Mount Fuji. It had two single beds, a desk and chairs The entrance had a large mirror and the storage space. Unfortunately, the remaining space in the room was too small to fully open my 28-inch suitcase. Luckily, I was alone, so I used the second bed to store my belongings. The bathroom was small but well-equipped with a shower, bathtub, and an automatic toilet.
The onsen was located on the 6th floor and was divided into male and female sections. It was clean and spacious. However, around 8-10 PM, it got quite crowded. If you're not accustomed to this culture, you might want to visit during the morning. (Operated Time : 3PM-2AM & 5-10 AM)
The hotel restaurant offered a variety of dishes. I checked the menu and decided to purchase a dinner coupon at the lobby. The dinner buffet was served from 6-9 PM. Breakfast (7-9AM) was included in my package and was slightly different from dinner. Overall, the food was decent but not exceptional. I recommend arriving early for dinner to avoid the crowds.
Key Points:
- The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service every 30 minutes between the hotel and Kawaguchiko Station.
- There are no convenience stores near the hotel. The hotel's convenience store has limited options.
- There is only one restaurant near the hotel, and it's only open for lunch. If you don't have a car, your dining options are limited to the hotel's buffet or instant ramen (from hotel's convenient store at Lobby 1st floor).
GGuest UserThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!
SSor Yi MingPlace is close to ropeway bus stop. however, it can be a challange to carry your luggage up the hill slope which is share with cars and visitors to the ropeway.
smoking room doesnt smell smoky as they provide purifier.. but the hallway lead to the room are very smoky in smell. just has to bare with it.
once enter, required to change show for their slippers, proceed to check in, there are foreign staffs that can speak some english to help with check in
if you check in between 3 to 5pm, there are free flow of snacks (popcorns, meatbun, mugi cha) and alcohols ( lemon sour and asahi beer)
once check in u can go for onsen to relax. not mandate to wear yukata. but feel free to do so for the immersion.
the room is dated, like stuck in the 90s or early 2000s. toilet is seperate from bath.. frankly speaking its better to bath at the onsen if you dont mind ***** infront of strangers n stared by japanese guests to see if u make any mistake ( they want you to be clean in every nook and cany) as they are in the onsen
has sauna but quite small. hover 82 degree c
has old school water spray jet which u need to control manually on all 3 sides.. good luck to do it fast during cold days.
basic amendities at the onsen area.. just hair dryer, fan and thats all
bed n pillow quite soft... pillow are small but u can get more from reception.
great view of the lake from hotel room and dining area.
breakfast is ok. everyday similar menu.. buffet style breakfast.. fish, asa curry, breads, minced marinated sashimi don, corn soup and miso soups. free flow coffee, soft drinks and limited selection of fruits.
dinner is ok, buffet style but 90 min.. need to info counter what is your prefered time slot. i recommend choose dinner... cuase it is quite a distance to the bus station for food.. and the queue are horrendous but the food are nice there tho, u can even admire mt fuji.
heard the dinner theme is based on months or seasons.
SSIRIPORNI was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room wasâmuch larger than I expected. The toilet and shower were in separate rooms, which was really convenient. The ryokan-style bed gave a lovely traditional Japanese feel, which I absolutely loved. There's also a window-side table where you can sit and enjoy a full view of Mt. Fuji all day long. I was lucky to visit on a clear day and saw an unobstructed view of Mt. Fujiâit made the trip truly unforgettable.
Breakfast was delicious with every dish. The hotel also offers a laundry room, a kidsâ playroom, and a stunning Mt. Fuji view onsenâperfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and after check-in, there was even a shuttle service to Kawaguchiko Station. Highly recommended!
LLinerGood service and location near the station with free parking a short distance in front of the ryokan, ryokan comes with a public bath where all guests must pay a small fee regardless if you are using it or not. 1 small weird detail is that in order to use the hot water for the room shower, the water taps at the basin need to be turned on towards the hot temperature and wait for a while before the shower has hot water.
LLL22Enjoyed our stay at Bessho Sasa. The view of Mount Fuji is beyond amazing especially from the rooftop open air onsen area. The dinner provided in the half board package is a full nine course dinner Japanese cuisine menu which is perfect if you are a Japanese cuisine fan like me. The room was smaller than I expected, however it was sufficient for the three of us with each of us having our own very comfortable single bed to sleep in. Complete amenities and the service is excellent. Would definitely go back there again.
LLuvidGreat location for a Fuji view + nearby cafe The Park was a phenomenal experience. Definitely enjoyed the next door combini aswell. However do not like the group requirement to eat at the restaurant and lack of microwave in the rooms. Still highly recommend.
AAnonymous UserThe room is so big. Grand Resort Princess Fujikawaguchiko offers stunning views of Mount Fuji and a serene atmosphere. The spacious rooms are elegant, blending modern comforts with traditional Japanese design. The onsen facilities are relaxing, and the staff provides excellent hospitality. Perfect for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty of Lake Kawaguchi and its surroundings.
