The truth is, it's a very nice place, the cave is fabulous, the water is very good. The hotel is a little less spacious than I thought it would be. The staff is friendly and very attentive to your needs. Regarding the location, it's fine. I have no complaints in general... I only had one problem... one night, upon entering my room, I noticed a very strong smell of urine or cat poop, I don't know. I mentioned it to the front desk, and their response was evasive... the lady argued that what smelled like that was the material the ceilings are made of... that was unbelievable... I didn't like this. In any case, there should have been more complaints, and according to what the front desk told me, there weren't. I complained, we sat down to dinner and when we came back it didn't smell anymore...what they did we don't know đâïž I think they must have forgotten to pick up the kittens' waste....This was unpleasant... I still liked it except for this...
Location is great.
Friendly personel.
Towels seem a bit old and stained.
I GOT SICK with Breakfast, the chicken tinga was from the day before and had a rancid taste.

I really like this old hotel, the perfect location, the Buddha and the warm service, the Mexican service is really very good. The executive floor is set, and those snacks and coffee breakfast are free. The service is really great, people can't help but tip more.
As before, highly recommended a real gem for this price.
We extended our stay because we liked it here so much, itâs perfect to relax.
And we going to miss the huge comfortable bed.
Great stay at this hotel. Staff is very friendly and food at the restaurant is good quality. We stayed 2 nights the first time, traveled around the YucatĂĄn, then came back to this hotel because of its convenience to the airport.
I loved the hotel except that the cleaning in the room was not very good, the sheet was dirty, what I did was remove it but I would recommend cleaning over saving water.
The location of the hotel is a little bit biased, but it is also very convenient to walk to the city center. There are small mini shops around. The facilities in the room can also meet the needs and the service is more enthusiastic.

NNikkilaoshiService was great we arrived almost 8pm. Be aware we did not stay at the address listed but there are 3 properties 2 mins walking to each other. We arrived at the address and there was a sign with a number to call or contact on WhatsApp. They answered quickly and came to get us and our luggage to checkin at the main building then led us to the other (3rd location). Our room room was small but clean. The pool in our building was the biggest but there was leaves inside looked unmaintained but not grossâŠfairly clean. There was a little âkitchenâ with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker which looked like it hasnât been used in a long time before getting to the poolâŠthere were 2 sets of chairs at the pool. Now at the main building the complimentary continental breakfast was fruit, yogurt, granola, and coffee. The optional buffet was 190 pesos and WELL worth it many options and delicious. The main building pol was very cute and we loved the complimentary âsteam bathâ which is a steam room with shower headsâŠneed to let them know 10 mins before to preheat it. They also helped arrange our excursion to cenotes which was cheaper than we saw elsewhere. We communicated thru WhatsApp no complaints Iâd stay here againâŠ.we struggled with hot water often it was lukewarm but apparently thatâs a thing in this area. Itâs close enough to the popular area called âcentroâ about a 25 min walk and 10 mins to the US consulate
GGuest UserHorrible service! They first gave us to a room which was fine upon entering but then we saw peopleâs clothes and shoes. We went back to reception. She said that her colleague made mistake and gave our room away to someone else without putting in the system. She gave us another room which was smelly like hell! I asked her to change or refund. She said its the only room left and she knows its smelly and she was sorry but she couldnât do anything. She could only put us to another room the next day. She also refused to compensate. It was midnight. We had no local sim card so had no choice but to stay. At night there was lots of noise from boiler/machine so we couldnât sleep. It ruined our holiday. They changed us to a different room next day but refused to compensate. We had to suffer at our own cost! The location is god and the room after changed was fine. But they made us suffer for their mistake yet refused to compensate! Such a shame for a hotel to behave like this! So if you donât want surprise or ruin your holiday, try to avoid this hotel!
GGuest UserAmazing stay â Highly recommended!
This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The views from inside were stunning, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. When they found out it was my first time visiting Mexico, they brought out a map of the city and went above and beyond by marking all the key spots â including what to see, opening hours, entrance fees, and how to get there.
They also recommended several authentic Mexican restaurants to try, giving me plenty of great options. On top of that, they provided detailed advice on how to travel around the area â including transportation tips and fair prices â which really helped me feel safe and confident exploring.
Their hospitality completely changed my perception of Mexico and made me feel very welcome. If I ever return to Valladolid, no matter how many times, Iâll definitely stay here again!
LLiI stayed in Residence Inn Merida for a month in January 2024. I liked the location and services. Itâs very close to the Galleria Mall, Costco and a large grocery store. You can take bus R72 to Central Merida which is very convenient if you donât have a car or donât want to drive. The room is clean and equipped with full kitchen. The breakfast is included. The front desk staffs are also helpful. They helped us to arrange two private day trips to Maya sites and cenotes. The only thing I would recommend is to improve the quality and add more choices to the breakfast. Not many varieties of breakfast. The refrigerator is a little bit noisy at night.
GGuest UserJust average, service like a hotel, close to the resort beach, and the dinosaur museum. Only took a photo of the room because there is no holiday atmosphere.
The hotel I stayed the night before was better, and my friend booked it. I stayed one more night, but the hotel was full, so I booked this one. In contrast, it is not as good as before.
PPinkShoshannaThe staff has been super helpful in accommodating our requests when we asked to change the rooms and more towels. They also recommended places to visit nearby. The location is very busy: in front of the ado station you have the option to jump directly in a bus but the neighbourhood is of course what it is around a station. Very close to the market, you need to walk 20â to the central square to find the pretty part of merida. Clean was clean, but the amenities have to be reviewed: no mirror in the room, very small sink, the window in the bathroom couldnât be closed and there was no hairdryer.
GGuest UserThe pool is nice and the hotel is located a few blocks away from the main attractions in downtown. The best part of this experience was the hotel staff. They were extra helpful and kind. Always ready to help in whatever you need. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness in the room. There was dust in some parts of the room and the sheets weren't very clean. They didn't change them. Also, the pillows aren't comfortable. But the rest of the hotel is not bad at all for the price. I slept well, the ac works well. I would stay there again.
EEstrella ææGreat hotel option right in the heart of Merida. This is an old house with lovely architectural style and character.
The rooms are spacious, service is great, and the swimming pool is nice!
The only detail is that I asked for some toothpaste and they didn't have (bring yours along), and I had to go out to get one (not far, plenty of convenience stores around).
I recommend it 100%
