"It's located in a heritage building with interesting history and at an excellent location, right in the middle of the Victorian town and 5 mins drive to see the penguins. The rooms are newly refurbished tastefully decorated, it has a very nice teapot and a nice tea egg and some nice coffees and teas. It has an excellent breakfast with good choices of fruits, cereals..., it's the only hotel that offer us the breakfast in New Zealand!"

"Oamaru is lovely, and the supermarket is within walking distance. The penguin colony is a short drive away. The soundproofing is a bit weak, but you can cook, and the oven is great for roasting meat. Parking right outside is very convenient."

"The room was very spacious and had great natural lighting, which I really appreciated. It felt comfortable during the day and overall the space itself was quite nice. However, the WiFi was extremely poor. Even basic social media would keep buffering, and trying to watch a show at night was almost impossible — it would pause every couple of minutes. Since there’s not much to do around in the evening, this was pretty frustrating. Another thing that felt a bit uncomfortable was the mirror placement next to the bed upstairs. It’s not directly facing the bed, but if you turn to the side, you’re basically looking straight into it. I know this might not bother everyone, but in some cultures (like feng shui), having a mirror facing the bed is considered bad for sleep and overall comfort, so it felt a bit odd to me. The bathroom was also a bit annoying — the fan automatically turns on with the light and can’t be switched off separately. It was quite loud, so even using the bathroom felt uncomfortable after a while. Parking space was decent in size, but getting out was inconvenient. I had to reverse multiple times because the space behind wasn’t very wide. Overall, the room itself is nice, but the WiFi and some layout details could really use improvement."

"We chose the Hilton again for our trip to Queenstown, New Zealand. While it's not right in the town center, transportation is super convenient. The hotel has its own water taxi that goes to and from the center daily. The first boat leaves at 8:15 AM, and then it's hourly after that. It costs 14 NZD per person and takes about 25 minutes. The last return trip is at 9:45 PM, and there's a timetable available at the front desk. The hotel is also only a ten-minute drive from the airport. The hotel's setting and views are absolutely beautiful, right on the lake. You can take a lovely stroll along the lakeside in the mornings, and the restaurant is right there, so you can enjoy the lake view while you eat. The hotel has a Western restaurant, a bar and restaurant, and a coffee shop. The breakfast buffet is served in the Western restaurant and opens at 6 AM, which is great for guests who want to get an early start on their sightseeing. The food selection is comprehensive and tasty too! We had dinner at the Western restaurant on our first night and it was excellent, the steak was fantastic! The bar and restaurant is also good; on our last day, we got back late from our Milford Sound tour and just ordered pizza and beer at the bar. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The bar atmosphere was great too! We booked a lake view king room, and the layout was nice, with full amenities. The hotel also has a pool, and the gym is open 24 hours. All in all, our stay and dining experience were very comfortable! Highly recommended!"

"The front desk staff were great, and the service was excellent. The room design was also nice, but there were three very large flies in the room. The shower design was poorly thought out, with no separation between the wet and dry areas, so the entire bathroom was soaked after a shower."

"This hotel in Queenstown is quite good value for money, though it's incredibly tiny. The bathroom is so small you can barely turn around, but considering the price, I can't really complain too much. It was fine for a one-night stay, relatively quiet, and generally decent. I understand the small space, but the bedside table could definitely be upgraded; it looks quite cheap. There's definitely room for improvement there, and it wouldn't be hard to fit a slightly larger cabinet in this space."
