"Really nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again."

"Amazing hotel. Good service and friendly staff members. Nice king bed and we had an extra sofa bed which is a bonus, it was set-up for free for us as my partner sleep snoring very loudly. The location is great and easy to find. The downgrade was the parking, there was no free parking as we had to pay $20 per 24hr. So we had to spent $60 just for parking, its ridiculous expensive. The hotel should've provide it free parking. But other than that the stayed was amazing. Had a great restaurant by the wharf and the food is amazing and bonus with an amazing views."

"I had a very enjoyable stay at Fable Dunedin. The hotel’s interior design is stylish and full of character, with a unique charm that really sets it apart from standard chain hotels. I also appreciated the in-room capsule coffee machine, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is excellent — convenient for exploring the city, and directly across from one of Dunedin’s most popular cafés, which made mornings especially enjoyable. Overall, a memorable stay and definitely a hotel I would recommend to anyone visiting Dunedin."

"We were blown away by the room and the service! The rooms are large, modern, with a fully equipped kitchen, quality bed linens, and the room was clean and tidy. The fluffy robes were a nice touch. We entered the room on a cold night, and the owners had turned on the heat pump so it was lovely and warm which was very thoughtful. We will only stay here anytime we are back in Dunedin!!"

"The hotel's location is great, but it seems to be undergoing renovations. The reception, which used to be on the 7th floor, has been moved to the basement. There was no clear sign on the 7th floor, nor was there any prior notice. We dragged our luggage back and forth several times before we finally found it, as no one was there on the 7th floor. I booked two twin rooms for two adults and two children. At check-in, they initially only gave me one set of key cards. When I asked if both room keys were included, they realized they hadn't looked closely enough. As a result, they assigned our two rooms to completely different areas and different floors. One area even required carrying luggage up stairs, which was very inconvenient. My two children are minors, so this arrangement was far from ideal."

"Best stay in our trip. The room was cosy and complete with microwave and fridge. Central heating so room was comfortable. We arrived on a rainy evening and not eager to venture out for dinner. The host had stock of frozen dinner packs that we could buy to reheat. He even cooked rice for us. Great dining area. We even made latte using their coffee machine. Lovely time spent chatting with the host like meeting an old friend. The morning feeding of sheep and alpacas made this stay extra personal. Highly recommended."

"The hotel is located on a mountain, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. You can even watch the sunrise from your bed – it's absolutely stunning. A free visit to the castle is available; it's small but beautiful. Breakfast, however, is just average."
