"The hotel is in the centre of Horta, you walk down a street and you are in the port. It is old but everything is very clean and has spectacular views. The breakfast is simple but very tasty. Bring a swimsuit and a cap as there are free indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a gym. The staff help you as much as they can and speak a lot of Spanish. There is free parking nearby."

"Nice hotel, excellent quality/price, 5* service and comfort, very good breakfast, with a lot of variety and very good products. The only thing they could try to improve is the internet, which doesn't get a good signal in the rooms. On the rest floor (reception, breakfast room, bar, etc.) you get a good signal, but in the rooms the signal is very weak. But regardless of that, the hotel is very pleasant, as is its staff. I recommend it."

"The check-in was the most problematic part. I hadn't received any instructions from the host (also not in spamfolder) how to unlock the entry gate to the property. It was already getting dark and the host was also not reachable by telephone. Monica from Trip customer service eventually managed to forward the necessary entry codes to me (many thanks for the assistance!). ++ The room was spacious and convenient, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and toilet were clean and there were enough towels. For those who like to watch TV: a huge flatscreen with plenty of channels. The shared patio with a little swimming pool is very nice with beautiful sea view. The property is quietly situated at a 15 minute walk from the centre of Angra. -- No written instructions (e.g. WiFi password) or general information (amenities) available. There are shared facilities in the property and the kitchen can be used for preparing meals (self catering). Although the reservation mentioned breakfast included, there was no fresh bread brought in. Not the end of the world but better not mention it as an option. Also unclear if items in refrigerator belong to other guests (self caterers) or are for general use so we didn't touch any. The host was not available by telephone for questions and also never responded to my initial calls on the day of check in. The room was in the basement and from time to time some smell from the sewer pipes lingers in the room."

"I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FIND A VERY COMFORTABLE WEEK'S STAY AT HOTEL INATEL. "Excelente localização, empreendimento reúne todas as condições para ser o melhor da ilha, contudo parece estar em contenção severa de recursos. A limpeza não abona nos quartos, é notório que fazem limpezas superficiais, quarto espaço no entanto o mini bar nada tem, produtos de higiene parecem misturados com água para render, os pequenos almoços são muito fracos, poucas opções, pouco cuidado, fraca qualidade, pouca comida. A piscina é de água gelada e o jacuzzi não é convidativo… hotel 5 estrelas que não deveria ter mais que 3 pelos serviços prestados, lamentável!"

"Facilities: While a bit lacking for a five-star hotel, it's still quite good on the island. The good news is that the room rate includes free spa access. The bad news is that it's quite small, with just two massage points and two small saunas: one dry and one wet. If the hotel name didn't include ”spa,” it would be a pleasant surprise, but for a spa hotel, it's a bit overrated. The window in our room had a crack running from top to bottom. The hotel sent an apology letter and offered complimentary wine. I assumed it was a sudden, emergency fix, as the rooms were full and there were no extra rooms available, which I thought was quite sincere. However, after reading other guests' reviews from six months ago, I realized the window had been broken long before. I'm speechless. Why didn't they fix it so long? Service: The staff were excellent, and the quality was expected of a five-star hotel."

"Great hotel for slow and relaxing visit to the island. It is a bit out of the way and you need a car. But if you are not in a hurry, this is a perfect hotel. It’s right on the hiking trail and only 20 mins to the airport. It’s also only a few minute drive to the highway to get around the island for sightseeing."

We have been very friendly and helpful with the staff. The breakfast was of high quality, with a wide variety of options for all tastes, served in a beautiful room with large crystals and spectacular views of the mountains. The room was perfectly equipped, clean and very comfortable, meeting all our expectations. The spa was certainly one of the strengths of our stay: the indoor and outdoor swimming pools of thermal water offer a unique relaxing experience.

The hotel is located in a comfortable position, close to the north cost in a small town, just 15/20 minutes drive from Ponta Delgada & the Airport. To my surprise when we arrived there were two type of rooms, suites or bungalows, of course according to the price we paid we were assigned the suite. What surprised me that during the booking process to photos we saw were not the suites, which led us to believe that was going to look different than it actually was. The amenities were limited, there is no safe or fridge in the suites. In the bathroom the paper holder was rusted because it has been positioned under the towel rack. The breakfast included option was fine, but little limited and repetitive, fruits were fresh and good, as well as well various cheese and hams choices. If you can get a cheap price for your stay is overall a good option, but bear in mind that there are some caveats. I would suggest to the hotel to update their images on the platforms and separate clearly the type of rooms available in order to avoid unwanted surprises for the guests.

A truly wonderful hotel. With only 9 rooms, the staff focuses on making every guest experience exceptional. The location is great, central enough to explore the Island and come back too every day. While the view from, and upon exiting, your room will take your breath away every single time. All of the accommodations are top notch, the bed was supremely comfortable and even the linens and towels had a plush feeling. Breakfast options can be slightly redundant but the quality and freshness of the ingredients, along homemade jam and juice, as well as a flexibility to switch things up on the menu, more than make up for it. We the hotel restaurant is excellent for dinner as well. So much so that we ended up defaulting to it more than once during our stay. We also appreciated small details like the phone they provided upon check-in that followed us everywhere on the island for spur of the moment suggestions and reservations through the hotel! All in all, highly recommended, my wife and I know we’ll be back!

We had a great stay at this hotel during our three-day family vacation in Ponta Delgada! From the warm welcome to the comfort of the facilities, everything was perfect. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped, providing us with an excellent rest after days exploring the Azores. The breakfast was varied and delicious, with options for all tastes. The location of the hotel was also a big positive point, allowing us easy access to the city's main attractions. Furthermore, the friendliness and availability of the staff made all the difference in our experience. Without a doubt, a hotel that we recommend and would love to return to!

Im afraid to write all this because this place because when we want to go back here, it will get too busy. We travelled with a baby and the hotel provided a high chair and crib which made a huge difference for us. They even upgraded our room. The staff is very responsive and would respond to my queries prior to arriving. They would help me with any questions at the front desk. Bernardo, Joal, and Claudio were excellent help. They had great recommendations for tourist things to do that met the needs of our family. The hotel and apartment were immaculately clean and staff were so friendly and thorough. We enjoyed the continental breakfast everyday. Some people complained in previous reviews its the same items each day but we found there was a new item each day. I also appreciated the consistency because I knew what to eat the next morning. The woman who does the breakfast has a wonderful spread. The fruit, coffee, eggs and everything were fantastic.

I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price.

We stayed the first two nights of out two week holiday in the Neat Hotel. We were early arriving but our room was ready so we were able to check in, which was great. The first thing we noticed when we walked in the hotel was the lovely smelling air freshener, which gave a good first impression. All staff on reception that we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a comfy bed. There was a fridge but my one down point for amenities was that there was no kettle. A coffee maker but no kettle! No everyone drinks coffee but this seems to be a normal thing nowadays. I know you can boil the water but not use a coffee capsule, but the water still tastes of coffee. It was noisy at night but the hotel is right in the centre. Great location for the harbour. Would stay again if we ever visit The Azores again!

The Charming Hotel is a beautifully preserved historic building with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped with most of the amenities you’d expect, including a glass bottle of water that is refilled daily. Complimentary coffee is available throughout the day on the ground floor. The staff were exceptionally accommodating—I made use of the luggage storage and was even able to return after checkout to enjoy a coffee and relax on the patio before my departure. Breakfast was well-prepared and a lovely start to the day. One thing to note: access to rooms is only by stairs, so guests with heavy luggage should keep this in mind. Overall, this hotel offers a wonderful experience in a fantastic location. I would gladly stay here again.

The hotel is in the centre of Horta, you walk down a street and you are in the port. It is old but everything is very clean and has spectacular views. The breakfast is simple but very tasty. Bring a swimsuit and a cap as there are free indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a gym. The staff help you as much as they can and speak a lot of Spanish. There is free parking nearby.
