The room directly faced the beach and the sunset, which was incredibly beautiful. It shared the same sea view as the neighboring Global 100 Villa Hotel. The hotel's location was a bit hard to find, but following Google Maps worked perfectly. The only downside was a power outage at night; this small hotel didn't have any emergency measures. If you used a flashlight, many small insects would fly into the room, so we just had to wait quietly on the balcony for the power to come back on.
Oh... I absolutely fell in love with this hotel!!! I'm not attaching photos because they're real in the hotel profile. This is it! We stayed in a 4-bedroom suite on the 3rd floor, and it truly is the best hotel in Sri Lanka. It's very atmospheric and well-thought-out; every detail is a delight. Service: we were checked in early and quickly, the room was cleaned twice a day!!!!! The pool is clean, the food in the restaurant is delicious, but pricey.
Yes, the ocean here is rough, but if you're driving or riding a bike, it's 10 or 20 minutes in either direction and you can reach Unawatuna, Weligma, or Mirissa (a tuk-tuk will also take you).
Restaurants are also within walking distance.
This is my second time in Sri Lanka and I have something to compare it to, so I highly recommend it. The hotel is worth the money; it's not your average chain hotel or a run-down local. We'll definitely be back here.
Oh, and the third floor has a fantastic patio with sun loungers, it's absolutely huge. This bonus is absolutely amazing.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff at the reception desk, and our positive impression continued when we saw our room. It was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean and a perfect space to relax in.
Unfortunately, our enthusiasm dipped when we looked out the window. We had eagerly anticipated the sea view we booked, but found ourselves on the first floor looking directly onto the main path to the restaurant. The lack of both a view and privacy was a real disappointment.
The challenges were compounded by a local festival taking place during our stay. This rendered the beach unusable due to the sheer volume of people. Worse, the road closures made leaving the hotel a logistical headache, leaving us feeling a bit trapped. A final frustration was discovering there were no shops nearby and no convenience store in the hotel itself, so be sure to pack everything you might need.
In summary, while we can't fault the hotel on its cleanliness or the friendliness of its staff, the experience was significantly hampered by the room mix-up and the festival chaos. It wasn’t a bad stay, but it was far from the relaxing getaway we had planned.
The breakfast and dinner buffet is very good.I asked for masala tea and their indian chef Balbeer Singh made it to perfection.The rooms are spacious and clean.
Friendly and helpful staff.We are taken care of very well by Jayaru and Nelka.
We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and the hotel made it very special.
The only mark down for the hotel is lack of sun loungers and parasols for the guests.You are constantly struggling to get shade under the trees.A 5 star hotel should make provision for their guests.As they would have details of all bookings.
The hotel is in a good location, the room is spacious, and fruits are provided. The price of dinner in the restaurant is medium. Unfortunately, it comes with a 10-minute massage per person, but there is only one masseur. This needs to be improved because it rained heavily on the day we arrived and the outdoor swimming pool was unavailable.
The location of the property is perfect. Not many activities to do within the property but you can always chill at the beach or at the pools. The only drawback is that they do not have indian vegetarian options at any of their restaurants. Even the breakfast is not worth having. We found an indian restaurant nearby and got us food ordered from there. The place is called “the cuisine delight”. The rooms are great, you get an interrupted view of beach from the rooms. The hotel staff is welcoming and kid friendly.
Madampa Ganga Villa. In Ambalangoda provides accommodations with a casino, a garden, and a terrace. There's a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. The bed and breakfast also provides free Wifi, free private parking, and facilities for disabled guests.
All units come with a patio, a fully equipped kitchen with a toaster and a fridge, and a private bathroom with shower. The bed and breakfast features certain units with sea views, and each unit includes a kettle. At the bed and breakfast, all units include bed linen and towels.
Continental and full English/Irish breakfast options with fresh pastries, pancakes, and fruit are available.
For guests with children, the bed and breakfast offers a baby safety gate and a children's playground. A bicycle rental service and a private beach area are featured at Madampa Ganga Villa., and guests can go cycling in the surrounding area.
Urawatta Beach is a 2-minute walk from the accommodation, while Galle International Cricket Stadium is 19 miles from the property. Koggala Airport is 27 miles away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
Nestled by the lake with expansive lawns, the hotel offers a truly wonderful environment. The room amenities were also excellent. It was delightful to spot various small birds and squirrels freely roaming the lobby and playing on the hotel's grounds – our children were absolutely thrilled. The swimming pool was also fantastic, and there was so much for the kids to do right on-site that they barely needed to leave the hotel. Breakfast was a generous spread, and the service was exceptionally warm. They can arrange transport to Yala and Bundala. Unfortunately, it wasn't bird-watching season, so we missed out on Bundala. However, should we visit Bundala again, we would definitely choose to stay here.
The room I was originally given was close to the street and was very noisy. Later, I was given a room close to the sea, and the beach was right outside the door🏖. Of course, I only stayed for two nights and left early.
The room was large and nice, with sufficient air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The only problem was that the hot water was not hot enough for this generation of hotels. It was probably warm water. I hoped I wouldn't catch a cold after taking a shower.
I was quite happy staying there.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, we were quickly checked in and greeted with a welcome drink. The reception staff were very friendly, but the rest of the hotel staff were very strange (noisy, shouting, arguing with each other).
Our room was clean and tidy, the room had a large balcony, and
a large refrigerator. The water pressure in the shower was very good. The location of the hotel is also great (across the street from the beach, 5 minutes walk to the grocery store) Stay away from Tuk Tuk Mafia

LLvchaxiongThe hotel's swimming pool is good, the water quality is relatively good, and the swimming pool is relatively large. It can score 5 points;
The hotel's Wi-Fi is very slow and basically unusable. This negative review is worth 1 point;
The hotel's food is average and can be scored 4 points;
The accommodation conditions are B&Bs, so don’t expect too much;
The conditions of the hotels next to Yala Park are very average, and that's about it.
Regarding chartered cars in Yala National Park, please do not step into the trap. Jeep chartered cars are all priced uniformly by market associations. According to the model, the price is 13,000-15,000 rupees for 4 hours for half a day and double for the whole day. You can buy the park tickets alone. Any quotation in the name of a turnkey package, whether it is a driver introduction or a hotel recommendation, is a scam. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled and ask for price details! ! !
The folk customs in Yala are not very simple, so be sure to avoid pitfalls!
AAnonymous UserMy wife and I stayed here during our vacation in Sri Lanka, choosing it because of the high Google ratings. The location really impressed us. The hotel is literally a step away from the beach and less than five minutes’ walk to town, which made it very convenient. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach and listening to the waves was easily the best part of the stay.
The lobby was simple but acceptable, and there is a seafood restaurant right next to the hotel.
At check-in, there was a small hiccup. I booked through Trip.com, but they couldn’t find my booking at first. After about ten minutes, they managed to sort it out and confirmed that the booking came via Agoda. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming, even offering us a drink on arrival.
Our room on the second floor had a great view of the sea. The shower had good water pressure, although the bathroom could use better ventilation. The toiletries seemed diluted, so we ended up using our own.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning became a real problem. It leaked so badly that the room flooded twice, soaking my shoes. Despite my request for a pail to manage the water, they initially only gave floor mats, which was very frustrating. By the time they finally sent a pail, it was too late. We barely slept that night because of the constant dripping sound.
Overall, the location and friendliness of the staff were strong points, but the poor handling of the air conditioning issue really spoiled our experience.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights, it was a slightly older property but the owner and family were so helpful and lovely. The pool was great and the Yala national park was fun
Hhitomi928Facilities: Not a newly opened hotel, but there is still a high standard of Shangri-La, especially want to go to the SPA, but unfortunately there is no time at all, you must go to experience it next time.
Hygiene: house keeping is very good, there is no dead end in health
Environment: The hotel has a large range, golf course, various activities facilities, and the swimming pool is big enough
Service: The best must be service, whether it is the front desk, restaurant, breakfast, room, lounge, caddie, where the waiters are particularly friendly and kind, have dinner at SERA for three consecutive nights, the last night, the little brother also prepared a special layout for us, very touched. The child was even more reluctant to give up on him, and agreed to go to him next time.
Shangri-La makes us feel that Sri Lanka is full of vitality and warmth, people are friendly and simple, animals are free and pure land

DDoufutravelsThis stay was the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The room is in the heart of nature, and you’re surrounded by the sounds of the wild, fresh air away from the roads, and the peace and quiet that comes with a more intimate stay. Additionally, the breakfasts have been our favourite, especially the hoppers! It was all fresh and Sri Lankan style, served with the jungle in front of us. One morning, we had monkeys. Another, chipmunks. One special night, we had fireflies. The location was exceptional.
However, it was Praneeth who really made this place special for us. We had great conversations, and he even recommended me a great birdwatching app. One night, we chatted for a couple of hours and I learned so much about this beautiful country. Genuinely, Praneeth is a huge value to Jungle Loft. He was attentive, thoughtful and a wonderful representation of the kindness Sri Lankan people exude. Thank you so much, Praneeth for your warmth!
I can’t recommend Jungle Loft enough. It’s an ideal location, it’s private, it’s beautiful, and you’ll be looked after. Go for it!!
JjainRajatExcellent location. Quite nearby to mirissa harbour and weligama. Liked the property. They arranged a candle lit dinner setting nearby beach as it was my honeymoon on request for no additional charges.
Liked the beach, the swimming facilities and the buffet for dinner as well as breakfast.
Arranged breakfast box as i had to go on whale watching and would have missed my breakfast.
Very nice staff.
Only thing they can improve is a bit quick on service as we had to call multiple times for getting our room cleaned.
RRaquel MonrealWe had a wonderful time at W15 in Weligama. The hotel is right by the beach, so we could hear the waves and enjoy the ocean view every day. It’s a stylish and clean place, with a calm and peaceful feeling that made me feel relaxed as soon as we arrived.
The staff were super kind and helpful. They always made sure we were comfortable. Our room was cozy and nicely decorated, with everything we needed.
One of our favorite parts was the pool. The views were stunning. The hotel is definitely a great spot for surfing, chilling, or just watching the sunset.
W15 is a wonderful choice for your trip to Weligama.
