I personally think the room was great. During my stay, if I needed the room cleaned earlier, I could just ask the front desk to arrange it. The front desk staff were also very kind and did their best to help guests. The owner was also very nice; I'd occasionally run into him at meals, and we'd chat and I'd learn about the area, which was very interesting. When I was ready to leave, I asked the owner to arrange a car transfer for me. This pick-up and drop-off service is really good, especially for first-time visitors like me – it's much needed!
The hotel is well located in Kampala Uganda, easily accessible and close to Acacia mall making it easier for meetings and convenient for accessing different amenities and services outside the hotel.
The hotel staff are very friendly and supportive. The food is delicious especially their samosas 😋. The night views by the pool side is also amazing. Sunset views are amazing and at no cost!!!
The hotel is right by Lake Victoria, and you can see the lake from the window when you open it. Please excuse the second picture; I had already laid on the bed, so it's a bit wrinkled. The room also smelled very pleasant. The front desk service was very thoughtful; they helped me carry my two very heavy suitcases upstairs. The security guard was also very nice. The hotel breakfast was delicious too. You're welcome to stay here!
The hotel front stuff was very good and really helpful, by ensuring we settled comfortably. The environment was really nice and the weather was great. We got some very nice sunlight from our window. They communicated on time and gave us ample to prepare before checking out.
Great hotel right in the middle of Kampala. Everything is easily accessible. Nice big room with big bed. A window makes it a really nice room. Big bathroom with everything you need. Breakfast early is less, later it gets more extensive. Coffee was difficult.
Thanks for the house keeping team and the people's managing the work., rooms and the hotel premises are well maintained., very impressive., and the reception is helpful and at breakfast the services are friendly., Keep up the good works and God Bless always 🙏
The best hotel in the area, everything is good, breakfast is a bit simple. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the service staff is polite. The steak in the restaurant is good. There is a bar.
The hotel is small but quite neat! With good customer care. The rooms are quite small but the outside balcony area seemed untidy with a lot of clutter on the ground floor pavers.
The breakfast is good
Went down to the counter to extend my stay for one more day, was told that it is ok as long as I pay before 1300. when I went to pay at 1300, I was told that the hotel is full and I have to check out. When I check back at Trip.com I saw that there are other rooms avaliable but I was not even given that option. It would have been ok if I was told that it was full and I cannot extend. I am now stuck at the lobby and will have to look for another hotel.
Smart and efficient service. Lovely breakfast.
Usual utility problems for Uganda, i.e., elevator broken down, room key didn't work and unreliable internet.
Maybe the manager should invest in a country where these problems don't impact businesses.

GGuest UserExcellent hotel, central location, beautiful environment, balcony, delicious breakfast. There are delicious restaurants nearby, both Chinese and Western. I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time I go to Kampala.
GGuest UserVery warm and welcoming service. Delicious filling breakfasts (prepared even at 5 a.m. for early departure!). The property is mostly in shadow of several large trees, decorated with uniquely-looking metalwork sculptures. The furniture in the room also feels authentic: bedframes made of thick hardwood, bedside tables use giant tree cross-sections as tabletops. Although there was a safe in our room, we did not use it. The lighting in the room is rather dim, and the windows lack net curtains during daylight (for privacy), but these points were not significant for us. Also the electric sockets were only in one place - near the table with a single chair, although there were two of us. The hotel is located in between two busy roads, so car horn sounds may be a little bothersome during the first night, but you get used quickly. Although the hotel is located basically on the airport highway, a lot of our taxi drivers had difficulties finding it (maybe we were just unlucky).
There is also a dog and a cat on the territory, and this, again, proves how nice and genuine the staff here is :)

FFilipp ViFriendly personnel, good location close to the city center, pretty nice restaurant. Pretty poor breakfasts with nearly the same options every day. There is electric kettle in room but cord is too short and I had to use cup as stand while boiling water. Bathroom is average and saw better times, hot water 24/7. Premium rooms have AC but no fridge. No coffee table only narrow console along the wall you can use to store something. Wardrobe is just big box with one shelf and several thin clothes hangers. Stable wife connection. Pretty good price to quality ratio comparing with nearby places.

TTuty KThe hotel is a beautiful big bungalow. It provides complimentary breakfast and airport transfer so it was convenient for me as I had an early morning flight. I was told breakfast was from 07:00 but it was actually from 07:30. Nevertheless, I still made it to the airport in time. Hotel is about a ten-minute from the taxi rank (matatu from Kampala) and supermarkets and is also close to Lake Victoria.
There was power outage just before dawn when I was there due from the heavy rains which affected some houses in the area. Power was restored at around 06:00.

Mestil Hotel & Residences – Kampala
I had an exceptional stay at Mestil! The place is super clean, beautifully maintained, and offers a real sense of luxury and comfort. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help — they truly make you feel at home. I was also very impressed by the top-notch security throughout the property, which gave me complete peace of mind during my stay.
Highly recommend Mestil to anyone visiting Kampala — it’s one of the best hospitality experiences in the city!
