Mt. Fuji 5th Station

The Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station lies at approximately the halfway point of the Yoshida Trail, which leads from Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine at the mountain's base to the summit of Mount Fuji. This is probably the closest point that anyone can get to see the beautiful Mt Fuji & its surrounding landscapes, besides hiking. Mt Fuji is the famous, majestic & symbolic icon of Japan - a must see attraction esp when in Tokyo. As expected, the place is swarmed with bus loads of tourists, very crowded. The souvenir store was like a fish market. I want to hike Mt. Fuji in 2024. #2024wish
