MT. FUJI 🗻 Standing for 3,776 meters tall, is an active volcano that is the tallest peak of Japan. It is mostly snow-capped for the whole year, but it opens for hiking and climbing around June-August, during the Summer Season. To reach the Summit of the mountain, one needs to climb for 7 hours! #wintergetaway

Being at the 5th Station is standing directly on Mt Fuji itself even if you did not hike further to the top. The trail is there at the side and many people did go on the trail for a short distance, as I did too and its a nice opportunity to gauge if you're ready to hike to the top in the near future. Despite the large number of tourists, this was a magical place to visit. The weather was extremely kind to us, giving amazing views down the mountain. We then went to an Information Centre, about thirty minutes down the mountain and watched an informative video about the history and activities to be experienced there. #givethanks #givethanks
