Life advice: If you come to Bali, you must visit Ubud, otherwise it's a wasted trip!
Life advice: If you come to Bali, you must visit Ubud, otherwise it's a wasted trip!
While people are still in dreamland, the scenery of Bali has already awakened. When the first ray of sunlight penetrates the rising mist, light has a shape.
Many people who come to Bali will miss this scenery hidden in the jungle, here is Ubud. In Ubud, the terraced scenery is the livelihood of the locals, the traditional culture reflects their life, and this tree with more than 700 years of age, witnesses their faith.
I like Ubud, it gives more meaning to coming to Bali, apart from vacation. Leisure, religion, scenery, humanities, primitive, mysterious... all kinds of unrelated and unequal words are mixed here.
After this slow tour of Indonesia, Ubud has directly become one of my favorite places. Its situation is complicated, the vacationing Europeans and Americans on the road are almost more than the natives, but it can still maintain that you will not forget that you are in Southeast Asia. Royalty!
Located in the heart of Ubud, this majestic palace has so much detail in its structures that just scream royalty!
I got a sense of how rich the Balinese culture is at this palace and got a glimpse of how life used to be back then for them.
It feels so authentic as soon as you get there perhaps it’s because of the spiritual connection the palace has with the Island, it’s definitely an Ubud Cultural Treasure.
The entrance is free, so if you’re ever in Ubud make sure to check it out.

Ubud Palace, Bali - Indonesia: This is located in Ubud near the market. This is my second time there but nothing has changed. There are still a lot of tourists. The palace with its structure looks charming in Balinese style.

The interior of the city palace is exquisitely crafted, with both golden splendor and elegant scenery. The building uses a lot of stone materials, such as red sandstone and marble. Even the panes are carved with marble to show the grandeur. At the same time, the mosaic technology is used to make the building beautiful.
[Traveling to the Footsteps] Sukawadi Palace. Located in Ubud, known as the important art town of Bali, this palace is arguably the landmark of Ubud, hence the name Puri Saren, the residence of the royal family of Sukawati. The
royal palace was built in the 16th century, opposite the Ubud Pasar and designed by famous artists. The entire palace has a total of 60 rooms, magnificent. In particular, the gate is very similar to Bali's famous landmark "The Gate of the Sky" (described later), but here is the downtown area, where there is a high terrain, no obstructions, plus a volcano behind, taking pictures. It is naturally more beautiful.
The palace is full of exquisite and delicate hand-carved carvings, as well as the extravagant gold foil decoration. Every day, it attracts a large number of art lovers to come here. If you are lucky, you can also enjoy the wonderful traditional dance performances of local Balinese.
Brigade TIPs: When entering the palace, you must dress neatly. If the staff feels that the tourists' clothing is out of specification, you will be wrapped in sarongs and shawls (costs are required, but not expensive, and the details are not remembered).
The Ubud Palace is the residence of the Sukawati royal family. It is located opposite the Ubud market. Although it is not eye-catching at first glance, the Ubud Palace is the landmark building of Ubud.
Ubud Palace was built in the 16th century. It was designed by famous artists. There are 60 rooms. From the heights, the whole palace is magnificent, especially the gate. The exquisite hand-carved and expensive in the palace. Awesome gold foil decoration.
But the Ubud Palace is the most attractive to me. It is a fabulous traditional dance performance with Balinese local characteristics starting at 7:30 every night, such as welcome dance, masquerade, etc. Can't miss these shows.
The Ubud Palace (Puri Saren) is home to the Sukawati royal family. Located across from the Ubud Palace, it is where the main street and the Ubud Monkey Forest Road meets. The Palace is an iconic landmark in Ubud. The Palace is located inside the city of Ubud, an important center for the arts in Bali. The Palace was built first in the 16th century by famous artists. It contains 60 rooms and the entire palace is magnificent in appearance, in particular its entrance doors. Refined hand-carved reliefs and extravagant golden foils line the palace.
Every year, lots of art lovers come here. From 19:30 onwards, you can enjoy shows of indigenous, traditional Bali dances in the palace, such as the welcome dance, the masked dance. Even though it’s now opened to the public and even has a hotel inside, this is still very much the actual palace for the Ubud royal family. During the night you’ll find performances of Bali’s traditional dances.
Puri Saren is the residence of the Sukawati royal family. Opposite the Ubud market, it is just the intersection of Main Street and Monkey Forest Road. The Royal Palace is the landmark of Ubud. The palace is located in Ubud, which is known as the important art town of Bali. The palace was built in the 16th century and was designed by famous artists. There are 60 rooms. attracts many art lovers every year. In addition, at 7:30 in the afternoon, there are many wonderful traditional dance performances in the palace, such as welcome dance and mask. Although the dance
has already been opened for public visits, and even opened a hotel inside, it is still a royal residence of Ubud. Traditional Balinese dances will be staged in the evening courtyard.
Step into Bali's Royal Legacy: Discovering the Majesty of Ubud Palace
Ubud Palace, also known as Puri Saren Agung, stands as a majestic testament to Bali's rich cultural heritage. Nestled in the heart of Ubud, this historic palace is more than just an architectural marvel; it serves as a vibrant hub of Balinese tradition and artistic expression.
As you approach the palace, you're greeted by intricately carved gates adorned with mythological figures, setting the stage for a journey into Bali's royal past. Once inside, visitors are treated to a feast for the senses. The palace's courtyards are adorned with lush tropical gardens, fragrant frangipani trees, and ornate stone sculptures, creating a serene oasis amidst the bustling town.
The main structures of the palace feature traditional Balinese architecture, characterized by intricately carved wooden beams, towering thatched roofs, and open-air pavilions. These architectural elements not only provide shelter from the tropical sun but also offer a glimpse into the spiritual beliefs and cultural practices of the Balinese people.
One of the highlights of a visit to Ubud Palace is witnessing a traditional Balinese dance performance. Held in the palace courtyard against the backdrop of the setting sun, these performances are a mesmerizing display of grace, rhythm, and storytelling. From the hypnotic movements of the Legong dancers to the dramatic expressions of the Barong performers, each dance is a celebration of Bali's rich artistic heritage.
In addition to its cultural significance, Ubud Palace also serves as a venue for various ceremonies and rituals, offering visitors a rare opportunity to witness Balinese religious practices up close. From elaborate temple festivals to intimate family ceremonies, the palace is a living testament to the spiritual beliefs and customs that have shaped Balinese society for centuries.
Overall, a visit to Ubud Palace is a must for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of Bali. Whether you're admiring the architecture, enjoying a traditional dance performance, or simply soaking in the tranquil ambiance, the palace offers a memorable experience that will stay with you long after you've left its gates.
Now it's fairly small, you won't get to see much of it.
Ubud Palace in Bali Indonesia 🇮🇩

When you travel to Bali, make sure to visit Ubud Palace in Ubud. The sculpture art here is truly unique, with various sculptures that are both peculiar and adorable. 🏰🎨
The palace's history dates back to the fall of the Majapahit kingdom on Java Island in the 15th century. Javanese nobles then migrated to Bali and established the Gelgel Kingdom in the southeast of Bali, specifically in the Klungkung district. By the 17th century, the Gelgel Kingdom expanded its influence, leading to the establishment of the Sukawati Palace in other parts of Bali.
The Gelgel Kingdom dispatched their prince to Sukawati, where a royal palace of remarkable architectural beauty was constructed in the Gianyar region, where Ubud is situated. Many Balinese artists were involved in the construction of the Sukawati Palace, contributing to the artistic flair seen in Ubud Palace today. Following the completion of the Sukawati Palace, numerous artists opted to remain in Sukawati, transforming the region into Bali's artistic hub. 🎭🎨

#indonesiatrip This place looks architecturally good but everything is restricted here. Can just take couple photos where there towers at each entrance. Sculpture detailing is very nice. Can recommend this place only if you want to kill time. Watever is open for visitors is good but it’s a lot of traffic to go to this place and it’s very far. Hardly takes 5-10 mins to cover this place. It’s a public place and No tickets required for entry.

Exploring Bali | Ubud Palace
Golden autumn, chasing the fall, I am in Indonesia, here is Bali
Every spot is worth remembering, especially these unique royal buildings that are open to the public for free
Ubud's palace is not big, firstly due to the limitations of the building itself, secondly, the descendants of the royal family still live here, so some areas are not open to the public, which is quite interesting
The regional characteristics of the grand palace are very obvious, intricate carving techniques, geometrically symmetrical architectural shapes, combined with tropical unique flowers and plants, it's very beautiful and photogenic
