GGuest UserInitially I was given a corner room with poor ventilation, but after negotiating with the front desk I was given a different room, which was much better. The hotel is in a great location, right by the sea, surrounded by parks and green spaces. Unfortunately the sunset market is not open until the end of the wet season in May.

GGuest UserI was so lucky to check into the hotel and meet Ms. Nie, the only Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk. She patiently explained the hotel facilities to me. That evening, I was unsure about coming to the front desk because I was attending a Chinese stargazing event, but with her help, I confirmed the pick-up location. The next day, I went to the front desk again because I hadn't successfully booked the 'Field of Stars' exhibition. She patiently listened to me and then helped me contact the relevant company. After several negotiations, she finally helped me resolve the issue. Honestly, my English isn't great, and if it weren't for her, I really don't know what I would have done. But she just said, 'It's my job, no need to be polite.' Additionally, there was a small background light in my room that I couldn't turn off. I contacted the front desk staff the next day, and they immediately came to fix it for me. So, I want to say their service is excellent. The hotel is very affordable. For a simple meal, we ordered pizza, fries, and beer. It was delicious. The next day, we went to another hotel, and the food really wasn't as good as theirs. We ate in a temporary shed set up outdoors. In the evening, there was also a singing performance, which was very lively. There's also a BBQ area where you buy your food and grill it yourself. Everyone grilling their own meat with music playing was very lively. Although the exterior of the hotel rooms is quite ordinary, the interior facilities are not old, and it feels very cozy to stay in, with no strange odors. The two single beds in the standard room are very large, making it comfortable to sleep alone. The hotel breakfast is $49 per person, with a good variety of fruits, yogurt, bread, and fried eggs. I genuinely feel that such a breakfast in Australia is quite good. We stayed for two nights, and the room was tidied very cleanly when we returned. Each room has its own air conditioning, so you can turn it on when you go out for stargazing at night and come back to a warm room. The hotel also has its own small observation deck, which is said to be the closest to Uluru in the resort. It's only a 5-minute walk from the room door. Overall, I feel this hotel offers good value for money.

MMa Y MExcellent service and breakfast. But the rooms outside is a bit messy because of their maintenance work. They provide free laundry service, should be promoted in their service.

KKen and Sharon QLDThe Mercure is the pick of the Darwin Airport hotels and they capitalize on their airport location by cranking up the price. Also our flight came into Darwin after midnight and the airport shuttle phone number they provided was unanswered so we endured the 9 minute walk from the airport with our cases. Checked in about 1:00 and requested a late check out. The hotel had plenty of availability but they still charged $60 for the privilege. Rooms are comfortable but looking a bit tatty now. Even so we had a nice , but short stay

GGuest UserSuperior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.

GGuest UserRooms lovely with modern bathroom. Easily located to Litchfield National Park Beautiful temperature in the hotel pool nice place to relax at the end of day. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious we enjoyed all food including barramundi, Snapper, Burger as well as delicious chocolate pudding and before departing this morning a wrap, bacon and egg sandwich and bacon eggs and mushroom and a delicious iced coffee. The Staff were very informative, helpful and pleasant to be around making our our morning start and evenings relaxed and enjoyable. I would like to specifically mention Angela your bright happy and helpful demeanour is a credit to you and I suggested to my daughter if she ever found herself in a customer service role to be like you. Well done on creating such a lovely environment.

GGuest UserEverything about Club Tropical Resort in the month of February, where the weather is consistently warm, humid and wet, is a complete joy to a visitor from Melbourne. The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the ability to entertain friends and family are outstanding. The pool is the centerpiece of the whole site, where I spent many hours during my 7 day stay. For anyone who thinks it is too far away from the city of Darwin, there are supermarkets and the entire Casuarina shopping centre within a 5 minute drive. If it is wilderness you want, the resort is right next to that too with Buffalo Creek and Lee Point only a walk away. Parking is great, the restaurant was fantastic, and I am struggling to find anything wrong with my stay. But there was one thing - it was not long enough!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located walking distance to City Center and smith street mall. Even waterfront restaurants and bars are just 15 mins. walk apart. The taxi transfer airport to hotel takes less than 20 minutes. Friendly reception staff arranged a change of our desired bed configuration upon notice. Rooms are basic but spacious. Nice restaurant on premises available for lunch, dinner and its where you got the complementary breakfast. Will stay here again definitely, when in town next time.
