The hotel service was excellent, and the location was good. The breakfast offered a decent variety of choices. The hotel manager even followed up afterward to ask about our stay, which was a nice touch. Although the facilities are a bit older overall, the hotel still felt very welcoming and the bedding was comfortable. Opening the balcony door revealed a large grassy area and the pool. Highly recommend!
I was so lucky to check into the hotel and meet Ms. Nie, the only Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk. She patiently explained the hotel facilities to me. That evening, I was unsure about coming to the front desk because I was attending a Chinese stargazing event, but with her help, I confirmed the pick-up location. The next day, I went to the front desk again because I hadn't successfully booked the 'Field of Stars' exhibition. She patiently listened to me and then helped me contact the relevant company. After several negotiations, she finally helped me resolve the issue. Honestly, my English isn't great, and if it weren't for her, I really don't know what I would have done. But she just said, 'It's my job, no need to be polite.'
Additionally, there was a small background light in my room that I couldn't turn off. I contacted the front desk staff the next day, and they immediately came to fix it for me. So, I want to say their service is excellent. The hotel is very affordable. For a simple meal, we ordered pizza, fries, and beer. It was delicious. The next day, we went to another hotel, and the food really wasn't as good as theirs. We ate in a temporary shed set up outdoors. In the evening, there was also a singing performance, which was very lively. There's also a BBQ area where you buy your food and grill it yourself. Everyone grilling their own meat with music playing was very lively.
Although the exterior of the hotel rooms is quite ordinary, the interior facilities are not old, and it feels very cozy to stay in, with no strange odors. The two single beds in the standard room are very large, making it comfortable to sleep alone. The hotel breakfast is $49 per person, with a good variety of fruits, yogurt, bread, and fried eggs. I genuinely feel that such a breakfast in Australia is quite good. We stayed for two nights, and the room was tidied very cleanly when we returned. Each room has its own air conditioning, so you can turn it on when you go out for stargazing at night and come back to a warm room. The hotel also has its own small observation deck, which is said to be the closest to Uluru in the resort. It's only a 5-minute walk from the room door. Overall, I feel this hotel offers good value for money.
Everything about Club Tropical Resort in the month of February, where the weather is consistently warm, humid and wet, is a complete joy to a visitor from Melbourne. The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the ability to entertain friends and family are outstanding. The pool is the centerpiece of the whole site, where I spent many hours during my 7 day stay. For anyone who thinks it is too far away from the city of Darwin, there are supermarkets and the entire Casuarina shopping centre within a 5 minute drive. If it is wilderness you want, the resort is right next to that too with Buffalo Creek and Lee Point only a walk away. Parking is great, the restaurant was fantastic, and I am struggling to find anything wrong with my stay. But there was one thing - it was not long enough!
Perfect for what I needed... a one night stop over to visit the Kangaroo Sanctuary!
Staff were polite and friendly. Check in and out with seamless. Had the best night's sleep in good quality and spotlessly clean bedding.
Ate dinner in the restaurant, too, which was reasonably priced.
Darwin isn't very big, so everything's pretty close by. The hotel room was quite spacious and came with a balcony, but it was so hot and humid outside that the balcony was practically useless. Having a fridge in the room was convenient. Breakfast was a simple Western style. The room decor was a bit dated but very complete. There's a connecting door between my room and the next, probably for when they combine them into a suite. The staff were very enthusiastic. However, during my stay, there was a rather violent incident. In the morning, someone was violently banging on my door and shouting. After the noise stopped, I went out to check and found a mess, with plaster peeling everywhere. Staff were repairing it, but it was all fixed by the time I finished breakfast. It seemed like they were used to it.
The air-conditioning temperature in the room is fixed and the temperature cannot be adjusted. Only a piece of cloth is provided as a quilt. It is quite cold. There is a blanket but it is a bit old. Finally, we decided to buy a cheap blanket in the supermarket. The music is very late at 11 o'clock in the evening, so be mentally prepared. There is no remote control for the TV in the room.
The room was spacious and the location was excellent, with the ocean in front and the CBD behind. Everything in the city center was within walking distance. The noodle house on the street behind the hotel was delicious. The staff were very friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Darwin.
Initially I was given a corner room with poor ventilation, but after negotiating with the front desk I was given a different room, which was much better. The hotel is in a great location, right by the sea, surrounded by parks and green spaces. Unfortunately the sunset market is not open until the end of the wet season in May.
The host's friendly reception, smooth check-in, everything was perfect. Friendly, detailed guide at check-in. Also, during my stay, I was very considerate. The hostel was clean and well organized, so I wanted to come again.
Thank you for your warm consideration. I felt the happiness of the trip at a clean, well-organized hostel

AAnonymous UserThe room was clean and the staff were super friendly. On the last day, we missed the shuttle bus, but one of the staff even offered to drive us there — really appreciate it!
GGuest UserPerfect hotel location for our needs since it is very close to the airport and the Marrara sport complex (10-15 min walk) in which our event took place. What we love most: very clean hotel room, convenient park ing spot right in front of our unit at an extra cost, great pool facility and some restaurant and coffee shop option on site. The room we booked was really spacious. We had a very pleasant stay.
GGuest UserSuperior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.
SShammrockThis is the closest campsite to Kings Canyon, a good place to rest if you're going to Kings Canyon. Our room only had a bed; you had to use the communal bathroom for washing, but it was convenient. Cooking was only possible in the communal kitchen, so you needed to bring your own utensils and tableware. There were a lot of insects at the campsite, as it's in the mountains, so be prepared. There's a trail next to the campsite leading to a small mound, which is a great spot for watching the sunrise.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located walking distance to City Center and smith street mall. Even waterfront restaurants and bars are just 15 mins. walk apart. The taxi transfer airport to hotel takes less than 20 minutes.
Friendly reception staff arranged a change of our desired bed configuration upon notice. Rooms are basic but spacious.
Nice restaurant on premises available for lunch, dinner and its where you got the complementary breakfast.
Will stay here again definitely, when in town next time.
