The location is excellent, only take 1 min to JR station. Food around are good and many choices. The hotel is nice and tidy, also the staff are good.
Everything is good!
This trip, the most satisfactory hotel, the room is large, facing the sea to watch the sunrise, complete supplies, hot spring water for bathing in the room, but it takes a while to get hot water, there is a public hot spring upstairs, and I went to the public hot spring to wash in the next few days, it is so convenient, the open-air hot spring on the top floor is used alternately by men and women, I experienced it at night and in the morning, it is more comfortable than indoors, the room environment is quiet, the sleep quality is good, the self-service beverage area on the second floor is not open 24 hours a day, the shuttle bus to and from Beichuan Station has a schedule, and there is a phone number in the picture below, you can call a car to pick you up when you come back at night, otherwise it will be more difficult to walk with the luggage, the front desk can speak English, there is also a handsome Chinese guy, not every day, it should be noted that the restaurants and supermarkets here close early and there are few, later we would buy some food on the way back every day, otherwise we would go hungry 😂 The internet celebrity's Heigen Rock Bath is free for guests staying in surrounding hotels, you must experience it, it is better to experience it yourself than to read other people's comments, it is really an unforgettable trip, I have been missing it these days since I came back
We were assigned an older room that was in dire need of an upgrade. The peeling wallpaper, fraying tatami mat, and sinking mattress made for an uncomfortable stay.
The breakfast was decent, but if you're staying for a few days, I suggest rotating your choices, as the offerings remained practically the same throughout our three-day stay.
The happy hour at the lounge was crowded, yet it featured a good selection of alcohol, which was a nice perk. However, there isn’t much to explore in the vicinity of the hotel unless you are driving.
For a more enjoyable experience, try booking one of the newly renovated rooms. Otherwise, it might be better to seek accommodation in a more centralized location.
When you stay at Zuikouen, you'll be in the mountains, within a 5-minute drive of Takegasawa Park and Hokkawa Hot Spring. This ryokan is 6.7 mi (10.8 km) from Izu Granpal Park and 7.1 mi (11.4 km) from Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
A complimentary Japanese breakfast is served daily from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Make yourself at home in one of the 6 guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms have complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Conveniences include safes and desks.
The hot spring hotel room is very large, there is an open-air private hot spring and indoor hot spring. The hotel staff was very warm and courteous. They stayed for two nights. The dinner shop for the second night gave us an upgrade. It was really delicious and rich!
Omuro no Mori Gyokusui -Adult Only- in Ito provides adults-only accommodation with a terrace and a shared lounge. Each accommodation at the 5-star ryokan has sea views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. At the ryokan, every unit has a desk. A minibar is also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. The units will provide guests with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. An Asian breakfast is available daily at the ryokan. Shuzen-ji Temple is 27 km from Omuro no Mori Gyokusui -Adult Only-, while Mount Daruma is 42 km away.
Take the Hakone private railway to Izu Nagaoka and get off. It is only 1.4 kilometers to walk there (if the weather is good, you can see Mount Fuji on the way there). The hotel's pick-up service is from 10 am to 5 pm. If you need it, you need to make an appointment one day in advance. This time, I booked a room with breakfast and dinner. It is more than 80 square meters. I feel that it will be more beautiful in autumn. Breakfast and dinner are traditional Japanese meals. They are exquisite and delicious. Every time I eat, I feel that I am treated with care. There are private baths in the room and public baths. The public baths have indoor and outdoor baths. I feel that my skin has improved a lot after taking a bath. The two days we went there were all local Japanese people who came to spend the weekend. The two days were very relaxing.
5 minutes of walk from Hamamatsu station, sufficient choices for breakfast. Comes with a great view of the city.

XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions.
The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families.
It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful.
When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹
In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍
RRenshengmoruoxianYou can book the pick-up in advance, the dinner booked is good, and the price is very high. Very suitable for self-driving choice. Taiwan intern Xiao Yang is very helpful to solve the problem. There is also a small soup that can solve the fatigue of the day.
GGuest UserI was going to a live show so I was looking for a hotel close to the station and found this one.
They were able to leave my carry-on baggage even before check-in and I was able to rest in chairs in the lobby, which was a very helpful service for a live show on a rainy day.
I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.
AAlan Kirkland StaunI suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can.
The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se.
The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa.
We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the mountains near Shuzenji Temple. We originally booked this hotel expecting a beautiful view, but the waiter actually gave us a room facing the staff entrance. Not only did we not have a window view, but as soon as we opened the curtains, we could see the staff coming in and out and the garbage trucks, which really affected our mood. The hygiene in the hot spring dressing room was also worrying. The wall near the exhaust fan was obviously dusty and dirty. The hygiene of this hotel was not very good. 😑 There was hair left by someone on the bedside in the room. Sigh😑, I have to give a bad review.
JJanetWe had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets.
The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious!
The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride.
Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese.
We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba.
AANNIE LIM NIAN YILocation is far from most of the attractions, will be nice to have a car. It took me 15 mins to walk from Tomei Gotemba Highway Bus station. There are free shuttle buses provided to Gotemba Premium Outlet from this station.
The hotel is very comfy, suitable to chill and enjoy the hit spring, good for family vacation. Free flow soba from 9.30 till 11pm, free yogurt drink and ice cream as well. The view from room is amazing! Basically can just stay in room and enjoy Mt Fuji view
CCY TanI recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable.
The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout.
One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded.
The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated.
Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay.
SserselIt’s a nice budget hotel near Shin-Fuji Station, and overall, it was a pleasant experience for me.
The hotel is very close to the trains, yet surprisingly quiet. It’s small but very clean, with everything necessary provided in the room. Though the room isn’t spacious, it is cozy, and I enjoyed a nice view of Mount Fuji from my window, even if the grids on the window made it tricky to capture good photos.
The breakfast is simple but adequate to start your day, and I noticed the menu changes daily (I stayed for two nights and had different options each morning). The staff, while not fluent in English, were incredibly kind and helpful. They really made my stay more comfortable.
The hotel provides a few shuttle buses to the nearby train station, which was very convenient. They also offer free shuttles to Fujikawaguchiko, but only on national holidays and weekends, so I didn’t get the chance to try that. If you’re heading to the Shin-Fuji Station, there’s a tourist center with English-speaking staff who are very helpful. You can even rent bicycles there to explore the area and enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji.
For the price, it’s a great option, especially if you’re on a budget and looking for a quiet, clean place to stay with some handy amenities.
AAlec Muklewicz 穆子德Decent hotel that is most advantageous for it's location - it is immediately next to the train station and bus station, providing great convenience for any trip in the area. It is near to many restaurants, cafes, a mall, and the Fuji World Heritage Center which is a very well thought-out museum.
A few problems concern cleanliness and it's amenities. We found a few bugs across the hotel and the bathroom sometimes produced an odor (not of our own making, mind you). The amenities are mostly in good working order but are are limited in some annoying ways. Food quality and variety in the breakfast could be a little better - no coffee is available even though there is a coffee machine for instance. Laundry machines are only available when the baths are open for a few hours in the morning and evening.
One other issue concerns the notion that although the hotel has stated on signs that they would be unable to access our room without the key, they were able to do so anyway when we requested to change the bedding with the bug in it. This left us a little perplexed.
Otherwise, other aspects of the hotel were up to snuff. Friendly staff. Efficient service. Willing to store luggage. The welcome drink (pour your own alcoholic drink) was a nice touch.
