Our overall stay was great! The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of delicious food, and we really enjoyed the warm hospitality from all the staff. I had requested a little complimentary surprise for my husband’s belated birthday and our upcoming wedding anniversary, and to our surprise, they prepared two cakes for us! Such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special. We truly felt pampered throughout our stay. Thank you, DoubleTree Johor Bahru! ❤️

Overall, this was an above average apartment stay. Lots of amenities in the apartment, including a washing machine, cooker and full size fridge. The biggest advantage is definitely the location — the apartment is situated directly above Paradigm Mall, making it extremely convenient for shopping, dining and getting around without having to travel far. The stay itself was comfortable enough, but there were a couple of issues worth highlighting. Firstly, we received an unauthorised SMS that appeared to be related to our booking, and we nearly fell victim to a scam. Guests should be especially cautious about responding to suspicious messages or making payments outside the official booking platform. Secondly, although the apartment can accommodate up to 7 guests, we were provided with only one access key card. This was quite inconvenient, especially for a larger group where people may have different schedules and need to come and go independently. Overall, the stay was satisfactory and the excellent mall location was a major plus, but better security awareness and providing sufficient key cards for the number of guests would significantly improve the experience.

The check-in time is at 3:00 PM, which feels quite late, while check-out is early at 11:00 AM. It would be much better if they offered an earlier check-in and a more flexible check-out. The check-in process requires calling customer service, who then send instructions—this can be confusing for international guests. To make matters worse, the local internet is slow, making it difficult to download the guidelines. Aside from these issues, the room was clean, fully equipped with amenities, convenient for families, and very close to Legoland.

We booked a stay at Fraser Place Puteri Harbour for 3 people to celebrate my wife’s birthday and opted to pay extra for a room with a ”Sea View.” We also reached out beforehand to ask for a small birthday surprise for her. Unfortunately, the ”sea view” was a major letdown. Instead of an open, pleasant coastal view, it was mostly looking out over surrounding developments and construction with very little actual water in sight—definitely not what you hope for when booking a special occasion room. On a positive note, I do want to give credit to the hotel staff for their service and effort. They did prepare a birthday cake for my wife as requested. While it wasn't set up in the room prior to our arrival as hoped—it showed up in our fridge on the second day after we returned from our day out—we still really appreciate that they remembered and made the gesture.

Firstly, I came across Hotel Granada through a recommendation and decided to give it a try. So, I went ahead and made a booking. When I first arrived, my impression of the hotel wasn’t bad at all. During check-in, the staff asked if I would like an early check-in if I signed up as a hotel member. I thought, why not? After signing up, they immediately arranged a room for us, and that’s where our hotel journey began. Our first room was clean and neat. It also came with a Smart TV, which was a nice touch as my family and kids could enjoy Netflix together. Unfortunately, the nightmare started when I switched on the air-conditioning. There was a very loud motor grinding noise, which made it difficult to rest and resulted in a sleepless first night. The next morning, I went down for breakfast. There was a good variety of food to choose from. If you wanted noodles, you had to cook them yourself 😂. The tea and coffee, however, were not really recommended in my opinion. The rest of the breakfast was still acceptable. After breakfast, I went to the front desk to report the air-conditioning issue and asked whether the unit was actually functioning properly. The staff were professional and quickly arranged for a maintenance staff member to check the room. The maintenance staff spent around 15 minutes troubleshooting and informed me that the motor needed to be replaced. The front desk then arranged for us to change rooms, so we were moved from Level 4 to Level 5. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. After spending the whole day outside with my family, we returned to the hotel at night. The moment I went to take a shower — NO HOT WATER! 😅. I contacted the front desk and was informed that there was a pipe leak and that the water heater was not working. In the end, everyone had to shower with extremely cold water. Definitely not the kind of hotel experience we were hoping for. Honestly, my biggest concern is why the first room was given to guests when the air-conditioning had such a serious noise issue. It makes me wonder whether the room was properly checked before it was assigned. I appreciate that the front desk staff were polite and professional whenever I reported the issues, and they did try to assist by arranging a room change. However, having problems with both the air-conditioning and hot water, especially after changing rooms, really affected our overall stay. I hope the management can improve their room inspection and maintenance procedures so future guests won’t have to go through the same experience.

⭐ **Great Stay at Mid Valley St. Giles Hotel!** Had a wonderful stay at Mid Valley St. Giles Hotel for 2 days and 1 night! The room was comfortable, clean, and cozy, making it a perfect place to relax. The location is excellent, with easy access to Mid Valley Megamall and plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was pleasant and enjoyable. Definitely a great choice for a short getaway, and I would love to stay here again. Highly recommended! 😊✨

Plenty of food and drink options, convenient transportation, and many souvenirs available. The only thing is that you have to go up to the fourth floor yourself to find the mailbox number given by customer service. Then, you enter a password to open the mailbox, where you'll find a box that also requires a password to get the room card. Only then will you know which floor your room is on. This is similar to the guesthouses I stayed in during my trip to Japan, with no actual human service, only WhatsApp customer service. You need to contact customer service two days in advance. There's only customer service, and they will give you the mailbox number and password, and the room password... A special note: after opening the mailbox, there's a book-like box inside that also has a password. I felt like I was on a scavenger hunt; I'm not used to not having real human service.

Nighttime noise: Around 12:00 AM and past 1:00 AM, the noise from the air conditioning external unit/main system was quite noticeable, which disturbed our rest. Please kindly check the equipment operation. 2. Daytime renovation noise: Around 10:00 AM, there was construction noise from next door. We hope guests can be informed in advance, and please also coordinate with the neighbors to avoid construction during resting hours as much as possible. Other minor suggestions: - The washing machine lacks a drying function, and there are no drying tools provided. We hope clothes hangers can be provided. - It is recommended to replenish towels, tea sets, laundry detergent, garbage bags, and drinking water daily to make the stay experience even better. - There are relatively few dining and shopping options in the surrounding area, making getting around a bit inconvenient. Went there for birthday celebrations And they make a simple birthday cake by towels n balloons , simple and nice Everything is NEW and water pressure is good, bath tub is deep and fit body well. Bath robes material soft and like teddy bear furry 🤣🤣 Coffee machines and washing machines work well, even provide detergent. SOME improvement make it more perfect: 1) kitchen towel might need to ready for light cooking 2) pet friendly lift is slightly smelly, lift running in noise

My stay in Johor Bahru this time was quite pleasant; the hotel generally exceeded my expectations. The room was relatively spacious for Malaysia, and the cleanliness was good, with a very comfortable bed. It was convenient to find places to eat downstairs and nearby, and taking a taxi to the mall wasn't far either. The front desk processed check-in quickly, and their service attitude was friendly. Overall, it offers great value for money, perfect for a short stay or a weekend getaway in Johor Bahru.
