Qingfeng Geya Guesthouse

1. Location: In the west of the ancient city, very close to a gate of the ancient city. Then go out of this gate, cross the road, and walk a short distance to the right to reach Nuolan Hotel, a relatively good local restaurant with many locals. The hotel is decorated very distinctively and the service attitude is good. I ate roasted pigeon, lamb skewers, pepper chicken, strawberry milkshake, etc. I think the taste is quite good 😄. There is also an ancient city performance downstairs at 7 o'clock in the evening. 2. Room: The room is very clean, the bedding is comfortable, and I like the layout very much. The bed is against the window. When you open the window, you can see the ancient city street. The sun shines in and it is very warm. 3. The boss: very enthusiastic, and also invited us to eat the dates grown by ourselves, which are very delicious. There are also two cute cats. Our girl likes this homestay very much 😄, and is vying to write a review. Kashgar is a place worth visiting again. Next time, I will choose Qingfeng Yage
Return Inn (Kashgar Ancient City Branch)

Great location,on a busy street close to everything. Since cars are not allowed in old town, this hotel is not too far inside old town, a taxi can drop you off and take only a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Hotel is very clean, the owner even gave me a free tour of the area, like The 100 year old tea store, where a free show is performed with camels and dancers, the 柱子街,油画街,彩虹🌈巷.I would definitely come back as a (归来客)the next time I am in kashgar (喀什). She knows about the area very well, just ask her like the 1 reminbi bus ride (the number 20yellow bus only)to 香妃园
Pujing International Hotel

This 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast. On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests. I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days. Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor). There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.
Lavande Hotel (Turfan Grand Cross)
4.5/5472 Reviews
The hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!

This was an excellent hotel with superb services. The staff, in particular was very helpful in arranging drives to various interesting sites. The lady called Sophia spoke excellent English which made life easy for foreigners. The only thing I would recommend is that they make an effort to clean the carpets more thoroughly.
Holiday Inn Express (Urumqi Railway Station)

Urumqi High Speed Railway Station
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express near Urumqi Railway Station and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and excellent customer service. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The room I stayed in was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The comfortable bed and cozy atmosphere made for a relaxing and restful night's sleep. The hotel's soundproofing ensured a peaceful environment despite its proximity to the railway station. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast offered at the hotel. The breakfast selection was diverse and delicious, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. It provided a great start to the day and helped me fuel up for my activities. The hotel's location near Urumqi Railway Station was incredibly convenient, especially for travelers like myself. It made it easy to explore the city or catch a train to further destinations. The surrounding area had a variety of dining options and shops, adding to the convenience of the location. To top it off, the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols during my stay reassured me of their dedication to guest well-being, especially during these challenging times. Overall, my experience at the Holiday Inn Express near Urumqi Railway Station was outstanding. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Overall the check-in process was smooth and efficient including the tedious task of having to show health QR codes, having pictures taken of passport with China residence visa side by side with phone showing health code, then making copies of visa page, passport page, last China entry stamp page, etc etc. In spite of the time this whole process takes the staff knew what they were supposed to do and went about the process as quickly as possible. A small welcome gift was an unexpected surprise. Special word of thanks to Ms.爱森那赫 at the reception (not sure if this is her actual name). She was the only one who spoke English and was guiding her colleagues to check us in smoothly. She also gave us a good recommendation to try local cuisine for dinner at a restaurant which was a 5 min walk from the hotel. The only confusing bit is the fact that hotel reception is located on the 3rd floor. Our Didi drivers did not know how to get us there as the drive up to the 3rd floor was through a parking lot next to the hotel. The hotel should either post clear instructions on a sign board for taxi/Didi drivers to follow or they should have someone posted at the entrance to guide vehicular traffic up through the parking lot to the lobby for check in. But all in all a pleasant experience and we would not hesitate to stay here again should we plan another trip to the city.

I recently had the pleasure of staying for a night during a layover, and it was a fantastic experience. The room was impressively spacious, providing ample space to relax and unwind. One of the standout features was the voice-controlled lights and other amenities, which added a modern and convenient touch to my stay. The location is another big plus—it's situated near a variety of excellent restaurants, making it easy to grab a good meal without venturing too far. Additionally, its proximity to the airport is incredibly convenient for travelers like myself who are catching connecting flights. The hotel amenities were top-notch, further enhancing the overall experience. Despite my short stay, I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a blend of comfort, convenience, and modern technology. My brief stay was perfect, and I would definitely choose this hotel again for any future layovers.
Huayu International Hotel (Hotan Old Night Market)
4.4/5474 Reviews
The hotel accepts foreigners. Free pickup, dropoff (airport/train station…). Reception does not speak english so translation app will help. They are very helpful, even helped me with sending a parcel. Room is old but clean and spacious. There is even a working desk with a computer. Typical business hotel for the Chinese I guess. Walking distance to Hotan Night Market (out of the hotel just turn right to Renmin road and straight to the crossroad, crossing the road then it is a tunnel-shaped building which is the night market). No hair dryer though and I could not find wifi of my room so I had to use that of the other room. In the hotel room there is a guidebook to Hotan and you can use it to ask the reception to help you catch a taxi to the destination you want. Jade market is the most famous spot here and many Han Chinese come to Hotan for that. Everything in Hotan must be taxed heavily or so (for the massive construction that is going on?!), everything is more expensive than Kashgar and other cities in Xinjiang. So at least this hotel price is quite ok for this range in Hotan.
