Hotels With Spa in Gansu, China

This is the first time I've specifically waited to review a hotel: 1. Location: Less than 10 minutes from the high-speed train station, very convenient. 2. Service: Beyond five-star service! They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. There were welcome gifts upon check-in and also gifts upon check-out, plus a play area for kids. An excellent hotel! 👍👍👍

We made a mistake choosing this hotel: the word “international” led us to believe it would be better prepared to receive foreign guests, but that was not our experience. That said, the staff’s service was excellent at all times. Although they did not speak English, they consistently made the effort to use translation tools to communicate with us and assist us in the best possible way, which we truly appreciated. The hotel was almost empty. The first breakfast took place in a huge dining area where we were the only guests, which meant the variety was quite limited. There was some Chinese food and a coffee machine, but there were no options commonly expected by international travelers, such as fruit, cereals, yogurt, or bread. That same day, we were informed that the rest of the breakfasts would be delivered directly to our room. The staff made a continuous effort to ensure we felt comfortable with this arrangement, confirming the delivery time with us each day. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the cleanliness did not match the hotel’s level and price: the carpet had visible stains, and finding a toothpick at the entrance made it clear that cleaning standards were not adequate. In addition, the amount of shampoo and soap provided was extremely limited—again, not consistent with the quality one would expect given the building and overall appearance of the hotel. In summary, we would like to highlight the kindness and dedication of the staff, but we believe the hotel still has important aspects to improve, especially regarding international standards and cleanliness.

1. The hotel offers a complimentary airport pick-up service, and from the moment I was greeted, I could feel the staff's warm hospitality. 2. I absolutely loved the hotel's 'wild luxury' aesthetic – it's simple yet grand, with a unique and pleasant aroma. 3. The hotel's travel photography service is outstanding! I got the best set of photos I've ever had. Both the makeup artist and photographer were incredibly professional. I was instantly thrilled with the retouched photos just 5 minutes after the shoot, and even more delighted to learn they'd spend another three days on meticulous post-processing. The terrace above the lobby offers a fantastic photo op, especially with the red canopy against the desert backdrop – it's truly magnificent and a unique scene. 4. Given how dry Dunhuang is, the hotel thoughtfully provided complimentary face masks and lotion. 5. They also offered a free transfer to my next hotel.

The hotel's overall ambiance was very cozy, making for a comfortable stay. The room was quite spacious, offering great value for money. The complimentary airport drop-off service was a really nice touch. It was also very convenient to have the robot deliver food orders directly to the room. The room was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable, making for a great night's sleep.

I booked a double room with a river view, and you can indeed see the river and the bridge from there. The bed in the room was moderately comfortable, and the hygiene was good. The hotel's location is excellent, especially for those traveling by car, as it's not far from the highway exit and has an above-ground parking lot. If you turn right out of the hotel, you'll reach the Yellow River. Since it's not a major tourist spot, it's less crowded, and enjoying the breeze by the river is very pleasant. If you turn left out of the hotel and cross an intersection, you'll find a 'carb heaven' with several delicious eateries like Chuntai Shouzhua, Jinqiang, Mogouyan Beef Noodles, Guoyi Beef Noodles, and Fangha. There are also charging stations nearby. It's a bit of a distance from Zhongshan Bridge, about a 10 RMB taxi ride.

Visiting Dunhuang in spring was an absolute delight! The city is incredibly clean and tidy, with well-organized streets, making for an excellent overall experience. The hotel I stayed at offered top-notch service, was spotlessly clean, and paid attention to every little detail, making me feel very comfortable and secure. And the food? Oh, I have to rave about the food! The donkey meat yellow noodles were perfectly chewy and flavorful, the Huyang焖饼 (braised lamb pancake) was rich and fragrant, and to top it all off, a glass of Li Guang apricot peel water was refreshing and cut through the richness. It was all full of authentic local flavors. Beautiful scenery, a clean city, great accommodation, and delicious food—Dunhuang is definitely worth another visit!

Returning to Lanzhou from Gannan, I stayed here again. Facilities: It's an older hotel, so the equipment is a bit dated, but generally, it's well-maintained. It's quiet. Cleanliness: Good. Tidy. The cleaning staff does an excellent job. Environment: The hotel is located on a main road, making it convenient for taxis and buses. There are restaurants nearby, but not many. There's a subway station close by. Service: Quite good. During our first stay, Ms. Ma and Ms. Shui at the front desk were very thorough with their instructions (elevator location, breakfast restaurant, breakfast times, etc.). For our second stay, a gentleman at the front desk assisted us. Perhaps seeing that we were repeat guests, he just handed us the room cards without any additional words.

The hotel was clean and tidy, and all amenities were individually packaged, ensuring cleanliness and safety. Facilities: The TV even comes with a Tencent VIP membership, allowing children to watch cartoons. Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning worked very well. Environment: The environment was excellent. Service: The service was excellent, a five-star rating! The hotel even included a complimentary herbal bath with the booking – a fantastic experience!

This is a temporary stay for one night when returning to Suzhou from Gansu. I still chose the Jianguo Hotel. The environment is good, the sound insulation is good, the attitude is good, and the price is relatively inexpensive. It is worth recommending

I've been here many times before, but only for the bathhouse. This time, I decided to stay and use the bathhouse since I was just passing by. However, I was really disappointed. The room was only 17°C when I entered. I don't know if you felt cold, but the air conditioner wouldn't get warm enough even after running for a long time. In the end, I had to turn on the electric heater. The breakfast was just average. Overall, it wasn't as good as it was a few years ago. I no longer have the desire to go back!
