The hotel is a short, direct walk from the train station. Check-in was very quick, and the room was clean and spacious. It offered the best value for money of any hotel I stayed at during my European trip. The breakfast was quite generous compared to other European hotels. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. The Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore is located not far from the hotel, and right next to it, there's a particularly delicious gelato shop.
The hotel's reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast.
However, for a 4-star hotel, there are areas for improvement, such as the expensive tourist tax for two nights, which is €30, the wait time at the bar for someone to come and see you, the lack of bathrobes in the room when we arrived, which we had to ask for to use the spa, the small bathroom with the toilet inside, the lack of insulation; we could hear the showers running, and when we arrived, there was a pair of socks from the previous guests that hadn't been removed.
The bed was very comfortable but the room was dark, musty and smelled damp. Difficult to open the shutters which are high and very dirty to touch. Couldn't leave window open to air room as on ground floor. First impression of room was looking at threads hanging down from the stairs to the bedroom- looked like cobwebs at first - could be easily remedied. No explair in bathroom- not good.
Lovely place, helpful staff and very clean environment. Free mini bar everyday as well. Though a bit far from the main city Center, there is a bus stop right by the hotel that connects you to the metro that goes into town. Generally a good experience. Would definitely stay here again.
my family had a perfect moment. The hotel was clean and the staff were really kind to us.
The interior was awesome (perfect for taking SNS photos)
while we were staying at the hotel, a local party was hosted. Fortunately, we were able to
experience the party. it was the best moment of our trip.
I had a pleasant experience staying at this hotel. The room has enough size for the two of us and the bathroom was fairly good. I have tried eating breakfast but I think it was a bit pricey. I love the location as it was quiet. I will definitely recommend this place to friends who are planning to visit Rome. The room rate was fair.

GGuest UserI have stayed here many times and have been able to observe a decline.
The walls in our room where very dirty and the buffet breakfast was really quite poor with a limited selection. I found the younger staff members at check in and check out the be very unprofessional and very dissmissive. I did find one of the staff members at reception to be very professional Angelo.

GGuest UserLocation is excellent as it allows traveler to go from the central railway station to the hotel by a walk (5 mins) and avoid queuing for taxi that in Rome are notoriously rare and scam tourist and Italians alike. Downside is that at night (I'd suggest avoiding walking around past 10pm) the area is unsafe due to the large numbers of homeless people wandering around. Hotel itself was great, polite and helpful staff, beautiful setting (in particular the dining/breakfast area) and nice rooms, quite spacious by Rome standard. Breakfast was good, specially if you prefer a sweet breakfast (excellent cakes!) but somewhat lacking of savory options.
SspectraI recently stayed at the **Best Western Plus Hotel Universo** and was thoroughly impressed! From the warm welcome at check-in to the comfortable, spotless room, everything exceeded my expectations. Here’s why I’d highly recommend it
Prime Location – Steps away from major attractions, public transport, and great restaurants. Perfect for both business and leisure
Exceptional Cleanliness – The room and common areas were immaculate, with daily housekeeping that paid attention to details
GGuest UserA very ”tired of life” hotel. In fact, this is the only hotel located in close proximity to Fiumicino airport ”Leonardo da Vinci”. For passengers who want to get a good night's sleep before an early flight, this is the only option. Also, airline employees, pilots and flight attendants stay at the hotel. There are a lot of people, but the hotel staff is unhurried - they talk to each other nicely, with smiles, when guests are waiting in line to check in. We could not find free Wi-Fi, even in the hotel lobby. Despite the fact that we paid more than 250 euros per night, they took a deposit of 75 euros from us. It seemed that the hotel was firmly stuck in the past. It urgently needs renovation and good management. The hotel has its advantages, too. The main one is its proximity to the airport (you can walk to the hotel in 10 minutes, following the signs, directly from the arrivals area, without even going outside). They also offer a good breakfast with a large selection of food, both hot and cold. The beds and mattresses are comfortable, we managed to get a good night's sleep between two long flights.
MMinaaichiganjupiThis hotel can only be described as stunning! Very new and designed like a work of art! The location is convenient, between Termini and Plaza de España. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Plaza de España. There is a super delicious ice cream shop opposite! The room is slightly small, but the bathroom is large and the floor height is also high. Overall, it is highly recommended!
GGuest UserClean and sanitary, relatively new facilities, good mattresses, especially the rich breakfast. The front desk staff is very professional and the suggestions are very clear and professional. The surrounding transportation is also very convenient. Overall, it is a very good hotel. I will stay here again next time.
GGuest UserEnvironment: The hotel should have a bit of history. There are many similar hotels around, and the price is not cheap. It is one subway stop away from Termini Railway Station. It belongs to a safe area.
Facilities: The hotel should have been renovated, and the facilities and equipment are relatively new.
Service: The front desk is very good, very enthusiastic, and very considerate to introduce you to the various facilities and equipment of the hotel. They will also personally send you to the room and introduce you to the various aspects of the room. After each talk, they will ask you if you have any questions.
Hygiene: The room is cleaned very clean.
There is also a free happy hour upstairs at night. Forget the taste. There are buildings all around, and there is no scenery. The overall experience is good. Recommended to stay
GGuest UserOnly here for 1 night on a stop over from our flight before we reached our town in Italy. A very comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. Amazing buffet breakfast - definitely worth paying for. Have been to Italy countless times and many meals eaten however the best so far was at this hotel restaurant.
