The room was very spacious and had no strange smells. The hotel staff even helped move our stored luggage into the room and provided complimentary snacks and water, which was a very thoughtful touch! The TV showed the occupancy of various public areas, which was super considerate. The hot springs were also very comfortable, with good ambiance and cleanliness. After a dip, they offered popsicles, which was a nice treat. There were two large bookshelves nearby where you could pick out your favorite manga to read, and right outside was the massage chair area – absolutely perfect! In the evening, they offered free late-night noodles that were quite tasty, and there was a self-service drink bar. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices, and I even got to try local specialty sushi, which was a unique experience. There was an electronic scale at the stairwell for weighing luggage, which was very convenient. I'd love to visit again if I get the chance!
The hotel facility is excellent and perfectly clean with a high-class traditional japanese service standard. Our room was a deluxe room with private hot spring tub. It's a little pricy while I think it's perfect to celebrate the anniversary with my wife. Dinner and breakfast were good, while it may not be the best comparing with other hotels in the major cities. The sightseeing points are also within 5-10 mins driving distance from the hotel. We expected to watch the sunset at the balcony, while on that day the weather was a bit cloudy so we didn't take a nice photo here.
The hotel is easy to find with a parking garage connecting to it. Check in was fast and hotel staff was helpful with good English. Parking is 800 yen for hotel guests for 24 hours. The room is nice and beddings are comfortable. Their sky spa is small but functional with an indoor, outdoor onsen and a steam sauna. It could get crowded if there are more than 2-3 people given so compact. The mall downstairs have a few restaurants, a supermarket, a bookstore and a public library which is convenient. The hotel does not provide much amenities which I was a bit disappointed. Overall still a good hotel with a modern stylish design which i recommend in non peak season with a good rate.
The rooms are spacious, but the hotel is quite old, so the facilities are outdated. However, because there are indoor and outdoor hot springs, many locals stay there on weekends, and the lobby bar offers complimentary snacks and drinks, making it good value overall. However, the hotel's location is remote, and there aren't many restaurants nearby, making it very inconvenient if you're not traveling by car.
The hotel is quiet and private, with complete facilities and enthusiastic, professional staff. We came during the off-season, so the price was very reasonable. Since we had to catch the earliest JR to the airport the next day, which was around 6 AM, the staff enthusiastically and actively helped me arrange transportation. It was indeed very early, making it difficult to find a taxi, so in the end, the hotel's car took us to the JR station. It was a truly heartwarming experience during our trip. Thank you very much!
Excellent stay! Not sure why, but we were given a sea-view room, and the scenery was absolutely stunning with the good weather! However, the hotel is located on a hill, and there were no taxis when we arrived at night, so we had to walk. You can cut through the baseball field to get there.
Soaking in the hot springs here is absolutely top-notch! The outdoor pools are right by the river, and the water is wonderfully hot. With the cool air outside, it really creates that perfect outdoor hot spring atmosphere. Watching egrets forage in the river and seeing steam rise from the water, the ambiance is just incredible!
The rooms are a bit dated but still clean, and the breakfast and dinner buffets are quite decent. There are no convenience stores nearby, so for lunch if you're heading into the mountains the next day, you can order from the hotel or the restaurant next door. Though, you could also just make a few sandwiches yourself in the morning to take with you.😅
Very good stay experience. Clean and hygienic. The hotel includes breakfast and dinner buffet. Hot spring bathing ♨️ Next door is the Sandanbeki and Senjojiki attractions. The hotel is in an excellent location. This is my second stay
Definitely interesting experience. Partly tourist tradition, partly religious. As a new, atypical experience in Japan, the meal ritual and the vegetarian cuisine itself were interesting. Participation in the morning Buddhist prayer was valuable. Comfortable nice leather slippers. Saving hot springs on a rainy day.
The strict end of the day time was inconvenient for us: the front door closed at 9 pm, and we were not allowed to linger during our walk. Quiet time from 9 p.m.Baths close at 8 and 9 pm.
Thanks for the experience!🙏
The view is stunning, but taking the bus to Oura Station means you have to drag your suitcases up a bit, or catch the 6:00 PM shuttle bus from Shirahama Station. It's worth checking the shuttle bus schedule beforehand; the last one seems to be around 5:00 PM. The bathroom facilities are a bit dated, but the other services are good. With fewer Chinese tourists, it's mostly Japanese families with children. The indoor pool is a bit small, mostly occupied by the children. The breakfast was okay and filling, a typical hotel buffet, but they do offer mentaiko and tuna. On the way back, the hotel booked a taxi to the airport, which took 10 minutes. It's a bit far from Shirarahama, Senjojiki, and Sandanbeki, so it's best to get a timetable and have change ready if you're taking the bus.

GGuest UserRoom was comfortable, had a sea view, there was another hotel in between us and the sea, but nevertheless it was beautiful to be beside the sea.
Breakfast was tardy, staff were friendly, Onsen was big split over two floors with the highlight for me being the outdoor pool on the first floor
GGuest UserI booked a budget room at this hotel for a one-night stop in Kii-Tanabe before setting off on my Kumano Kodo hike. The location is super convenient, with the train station, bus stop for the next day, convenience stores, the tourist center, and many restaurants all just a few dozen meters away. The hotel is older, and the facilities are basic but adequate. My room wasn't very large, but it was very clean.
