Putting aside the fact that the hotel facilities are outdated, which is an objective observation, the dryness and dusty air in the room are unacceptable. The windows were drafty and let in a lot of dust, making it a nightmare for anyone with allergies. On top of that, disposable combs weren't standard and I had to specifically ask the front desk for one, which was quite surprising. My room also had a locked connecting door, which felt really unsettling, and I could hear everything from the neighboring room very clearly. Overall, aside from the uninspired breakfast, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

It was a okay stay. 5 hours stay night. Bed was wide enough. I did not expect too much on Cleanliness. Cleanliness okay.  Close to airport.  Airport transfer and no fee On the web they have car transportation without fee and no need to book. I was waiting for the car or bus. No vehicle arrived and we had to hire a cab to get the hotel.  Reach out to hotel to book transportation. Thank you.

Baotou Shangri-La Hotel is simply amazing. The check-in experience is really good. Before I checked in, the hotel housekeeper Miss Bai Huimin called me in advance to arrange a satisfactory room for me. The front desk check-in attitude was also very good. The room facilities and equipment are very complete, the hygiene is particularly good, and a small gift with Inner Mongolia characteristics was given when I checked out. In short, it was a very good experience. I will definitely choose here next time!

A very satisfactory hotel. The room is very large, with two beds of the same size. The bedding is very comfortable. It is rare to sleep so well in a hotel. There is a desk in the room, and the children are just in time to catch up on their homework. The bathing area is very spacious and the room is very warm, which is very comfortable when it is cold. The washbasin is very large, with all the toiletries available, and there is a footstool for the children, which is really convenient. The only small suggestion is that there is no clothesline in the shower room, which is a bit inconvenient. The minibar is also great, with coffee, green tea and black tea every day. Service: Super good, I asked the front desk to heat up the remaining food, and they agreed immediately. It was delivered to the room in a short while. There are people greeting you when you go in and out, and giving small gifts to the children. There are hair bands, mouthwash, glasses wipes and other small things at the front desk counter, which are available at any time. It is very convenient. Hygiene: The aunt cleans very cleanly. The location is good, located in Jining New District, and it is convenient to take a taxi.

This hotel was the most satisfying one during our China trip. All the staff were super friendly, proactive, and enthusiastic! Especially the ladies number 10 at the front desk,who was very efficient in helping us with our check-in process! The breakfast was very rich, with fresh and delicious food! The restaurant staff were also very nice! This is a hotel we will definitely come back to and we highly recommend it to everyone!

Excellent Stay at a Beautiful New Hotel I spent a night at this hotel and had an awesome experience! Everything was perfect—from the modern, stylish decor to the overall cleanliness and comfort. The hotel is brand new and you can really feel the quality and attention to detail. Front desk girl was an amazing host—friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make the stay special. Ranked #1 on Trip.com? My actual stay was quite disappointing. This was my second business trip to Hohhot. I saw that the Wanda Vista Hohhot had good ratings on Trip.com, and it was even listed as the top-ranked hotel in the area. So, I specifically booked one night to experience it. However, after checking in, I must say I was quite let down. First, when booking, I clearly stated my room preferences: non-smoking, away from the elevator, and quiet. These are very basic requests. Yet, when I checked in, almost none of them were taken into account. The room assigned was very close to the elevator, and the overall environment was far from quiet. I stayed on the 16th floor, and the soundproofing was very poor. I could hear the wind outside while sitting by the window, and at night, there was a 'thump-thump-thump' sound, like low-frequency music, which I suspect came from nearby entertainment venues. Additionally, the elevator chimes near the door were frequently audible, 'ding-dong, ding-dong,' significantly affecting my rest. For a five-star hotel, this level of soundproofing is quite unacceptable. Let's talk about the price. Many other five-star hotels in Hohhot can be booked for around 400 RMB, whereas my twin room here was about 500 RMB, a whole 100 RMB more expensive. However, from the perspective of hardware facilities and overall experience, I didn't feel it was any better than other hotels. The hotel opened in 2015, so the overall decor is a bit dated. The carpets and furniture in the room looked a bit old. The glass tabletop on the desk even had noticeable chips and damaged edges, which not only looked old but also posed a slight safety hazard, potentially cutting one's hand. Another aspect that contributed to a less-than-ideal experience was the desk being cluttered with instant noodles and snacks, all for a fee, and not cheap either. Many hotels typically offer some simple complimentary fruits, but here, it felt more like a display of items waiting for guests to consume, which frankly wasn't a good impression. The front desk service was also quite ordinary; they didn't proactively confirm my room preferences during check-in. If I had to mention a positive, it would probably be its proximity to Wanda Plaza, making dining and shopping convenient. But if that factor is disregarded, considering the price and overall experience, I personally don't think it offers good value for money. Previously, I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hohhot City Center, also a five-star hotel, which was nearly 100 RMB cheaper, but the overall service, facilities, and living experience were much better. So, for friends planning to book a hotel in Hohhot in the future, here's some advice: If you're considering this hotel solely because it's ranked #1 on Trip.com, I suggest checking reviews on other platforms and making a comprehensive judgment. Based on my stay, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel has an excellent location and the room was quite spacious. What really stood out was the breakfast on the second day – it was a fantastic spread featuring local specialties like shaomai, lamb offal soup, and milk tea. Plus, it was served in the revolving restaurant on the top floor, offering great views of Hohhot. Highly recommended!

This hotel is simply too good! This is the best hotel I have ever had during this trip👍👍👍 I was a little nervous when I first arrived downstairs, because it was right at the entrance of the community and faced the street. The parking lot felt a bit messy, and there were many stalls selling fruit and snacks around. Almost every stall used loudspeakers to play promotions in a loop. At that time, I thought it would take I couldn't sleep well, but when I checked in, I realized that it's not just people who are judged by their appearance, this hotel is also the same. . . It’s a completely different world from the outside world! First of all, the lobby is spacious and bright, with a strong sense of fashion and technology. The two beauties at the front desk have a very good attitude. After checking in quickly, they enthusiastically told us that the drinks in the refrigerator in the room are free. Then we came to the 4th floor and came into view. The best is the clean self-service laundry room, and the corridors on both sides are also warm; then entering the guest room, it is very comfortable and warm, making people feel at home. The thoughtful design is everywhere, especially the quietness of the room, which is completely I forgot about the noisy city downstairs; I slept very comfortably at night after that. The quiet sleeping environment is simply the greatest blessing for people who are away from home. Finally, I have to talk about the restaurant on the second floor of the hotel, which amazed me again. ! Words are no longer enough to express it, so let’s go ahead and put it in pictures! In short, I would especially recommend it to friends who come to Baotou for business trip, this is definitely the best choice! ! ! Our trip to Inner Mongolia this time was a huge success, and this hotel was a delightful surprise. We received welcome gifts upon check-in, along with complimentary fruit and a sweet little card 😊. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and answered all our questions with a great attitude 👍. The hotel itself is very photogenic, with a comfortable blend of Mongolian and French design. The facilities are excellent, including a free laundry room and a gym, and the breakfast spread is fantastic, offering a variety of delicious options like roasted lamb leg, Buryat dumplings, and 'guochatea' (pot tea). In fact, the hotel's Buryat dumplings are even better than those found in outside restaurants 😋. The location is also superb; we had beautiful views of the Yimin River and snow scenery right from our window. It's also super convenient, being only about a 10-minute drive to the train station. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Hailar! 👍👍👍
