My biggest mistake of this trip to Yamagata is to book this hotel. It's a good hotel but it's in the middle of nowhere. You will want to stay around the city of Yamagata province which is also called Yamagata city just so you can get to famous tourist spots. However this is 4 hours away from all of these. I had to book another hotel so I can stay 1 day in the city when I wanted to visit these places and the traveling time just completely made me exhausted. It took like 1 day to go to a place and 1 day to go back. It was so terrible, I was crying. This place is closed to Shonai airport not Yamagata airport so I also had to book another flight from Shonai. I wasted so much money for transportation. It was such a terrible experience. However the hotel is incredibly beautiful with smart design in everything. I loved the onsen very much. If it was just a vacation/restcation for relaxing purpose or isolate yourself from the human word, it's the best choice for you. Since its in the middle of the endless rice field, there is nothing to eat except for paying very high price to eat at the hotel's restaurant. And the food was just okay. The beauty of this hotel was like a trap. Its like I was blind from its beauty and couldn't see all other disavantages.

I made a reservation online, but wanted to change the number of nights I was staying, so I tried to change it online, but it didn't work out and the accommodation fee was automatically deducted from my account. I consulted the hotel, and they quickly handled the process, which was very helpful. Thank you very much. The service was also polite, and I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast had a wide selection and was delicious. If I had to say something, it would have been great if I could have seen the view from the hot spring on the 10th floor.

Very good Japanese hotel 🏨 I like it very much. The hot spring is very beautiful. The breakfast was great. It is very convenient for us to bring two boys. The pillows in their home are particularly good for sleeping. It's really good for a pillow patient like me. I also bought a pillow

Very few people, very quiet. There are 5 pools for men and women in the hot spring, including the largest stone bath Totoro Totoro hot spring. There are samurai costumes for taking pictures, and there are free bozi sodas in the afternoon.

The facilities seem old. However, it's okay because I like it so much that I went to this hotel. The hotel will pick you up and drop you off at Kaminoyama Onsen Station. You can make a reservation through the line. The hotel staff is holding paper from the hotel in Japanese at Kaminoyama Onsen Station. Meals are excellent, Yamagata Gyu-dong is provided in the morning

The room I booked was a single-bed room without a bathroom. It was a Japanese-style tatami room with a bed and table converted into a wheelchair-friendly room. The price was relatively cheap. There is no problem if you use it as a budget hotel room, but if you want to experience a hot spring hotel, it is recommended to choose a Japanese-style tatami room.

Absolutely lovely place. At first I thought I'd be uncomfortable with how spaceous the room was (I'm a very jumpy solo traveller), but the room was just so comfy with an excellent view. The heater was a bit hot, but there was an electric fan too, so all was great. The hotel allows you to have a free 50 minute private bath each night, and the private baths are amazing, able to accommodate up to five persons and with windows to let in the light and stuff. Excellent onsen water -- very acidic and very hot. Takes some time getting used to the heat, but once you do it's a heavenly experience. There are also public baths (free of charge) that you could enjoy throughout the night and into early morning (they're closed for cleaning only during 9-12 in the morning), one indoor and one outdoor, both connected to one another. The outdoor one is a bit small, but it's so refreshing to be able to flee from the stifling indoor onsen to enjoy the crisp winter air while soaking up in the heat.

The meal was very delicious. The bath was also a very pleasant bath. I also wanted to go. The personality of the mother was also very good. Then, it was a nice inn decorated on the whole side of the building such as paintings and bronze statues.

The hotel is located in the city of Yamagata. You need to transfer to the JR station to get there by bus. If you arrive too late, you may not be able to take the bus to the city. It is recommended for self-driving tourists. Although the hotel is quite historic, the rooms are clean and the facilities are good. There is a lawson and a hot spring for guests in the basement. There is also a hotel-only indoor parking lot next to it, which costs 700 yen per night. If you just want to park overnight, there are other cheaper parking options nearby. There are also many restaurant options nearby.

Free fruit, snacks, mineral water and so on. The soundproofing effect of the room is good, and the chicken calls downstairs can't be heard. The girls at the front desk are very enthusiastic about introducing there are good things to eat there.
