We had a great 3 days 2 nights stay at Sunway Lost World Hotel š¤ The room was super spacious and felt quite new, which made the stay really comfortable. The hallway is a bit older, but it didnāt affect our overall experience.
Loved the small details in the room too, the plugs come with USB charging ports.
Hospitality from all the staff was excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also got free 2-night night park and hot spring tickets, plus 35% off day park tickets, which was such a good deal.
Breakfast was so-so, but okay lah. Nothing fancy, but still decent enough to start the day.
Honestly, at least 2 days are needed to properly enjoy everything because one day can be quite tiring. We also highly recommend adding the RM25 Malayan Express Lane. It really helps save time and lets you enjoy more rides (both water and dry attractions).
Overall, a very enjoyable and value-for-money stay. Would definitely recommend š
The hotel arranged for us to stay in a corner room which has weak WiFi access. I didn't have WiFi for the entire three nights stay. Furthermore, the bed was rather hard and the room was rather small. However, the hotel provides excellent breakfast and is located at a very strategic location. The hotel is very close to the Ipoh parade and within 10 mins drive to famous tourist spots like concubine lane. Overall, the experience was just alright.
I enjoyed my stay overall, especially the cleanliness of the hotel and the excellent customer service. The staff were friendly and attentive, and all the necessary amenities were well provided for guests.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the room interior as it did not reflect the Balinese vibe I was expecting. The design and overall atmosphere felt lacking, including the absence of the signature Bali-style aroma or fragrance that usually enhances the experience.
Additionally, the hotel does not have a swimming pool, which was a downside for me. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but there is room for improvement in terms of ambiance and facilities.
Title: A Slice of Paradise in Ipoh! The Private Onsen is a Game Changer āāāāā
I can honestly say this was one of the best stays I have ever had in Ipoh. If you are looking for relaxation, luxury, and convenience, the IWH Sunway Onsen Apartment is the place to be.
Here is why I canāt stop raving about it:
⢠The Private Onsen: This is the absolute highlight. Having a private hot spring tub right on the balcony is an experience you usually pay premium hotel prices for. Soaking in the natural geothermal water while looking out at the majestic limestone hills was incredibly rejuvenating. It is the perfect way to unwind.
⢠The View: Waking up to the view of the greenery and the misty hills is breathtaking. It feels like a retreat far away from the city, yet it is so accessible.
⢠The Apartment: The unit managed by IWH was spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated. The beds were hotel-quality comfortable (I slept like a baby!), and the amenities providedāfrom high-speed WiFi to the kitchenetteāmade it feel like a luxurious home away from home.
⢠Location: You are practically right next door to the Sunway Lost World of Tambun. Itās incredibly convenient if you are visiting the theme park. Plus, there are plenty of food options and a grocery store nearby.
⢠The Service: The IWH team was fantastic. Check-in was seamless, the instructions were clear, and they were very responsive to any questions I had.
I would highly recommend this to couples looking for a romantic getaway or families wanting a fun, relaxing trip. I am already planning my next trip back!

The hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast was nice, with a good variety of vegetables for the salad. The Singapore-style bihun goreng was so yummy! However, the rice for the nasi lemak tasted a little bit unusual.
My kids really enjoyed the cereal, bihun goreng, bread with jam, and the pastries.
Plus, near the hotel, there were plenty of restaurant and kiosk options around the Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah area. At night, you can rent bicycles, buggies, and other vehicles to ride around the roundaboutāit was so much fun! There was even a small train, which the kids absolutely loved.
In the morning, after our wonderful breakfast, my kids and I went back to the roundabout for a brisk walk and spent some time at the playground. It was really enjoyable and a great way to start the day.
I would also like to send my appreciation to Trip.com customer service. The staff responded to my issue promptly and truly tried their best to resolve it. Iām very happy and grateful for the support from Trip.com. Keep up the great service!
Check-in was quick and efficient. The facilities were great, especially the infinity pool overlooking the lake. Breakfast was decent. The Ć la carte dinner, however, was just okay; we ordered lamb, and it was so tough it was inedible. Our last night, only the buffet was available for dinner, and it was a bit better. We took a full-morning excursion to visit a local village (we couldn't see the rafflesia flowers during our visit), followed by a trek to a part of the park where animals come to lick minerals from the rocks, and finally another trek to a waterfall where we had lunch. We traveled between areas by speedboat across the lake, which was very relaxing. The excursion itself was interesting, but the waterfall area where you can swim was full of fish, and the water didn't look clear ā in fact, it seemed black, probably due to the bottom, which made swimming unappealing. The price of the excursion seemed quite high at ā¬83 per person. Perhaps they could group participants into one boat to reduce costs. We were alone, and another couple who left 5 minutes later and did the same tour was also alone.
Overall, had a good experience during the stay especially with the friendly and attentive staffs on their service provided. The hotel is at the prime location, just a short distance from the scenic Taiping Lake Garden and surrounded by numerous dining options, was highly appreciated for its convenience and accessibility. The room is clean and comfortable, especially the serene pool and beautifully landscaped garden area, which offered a peaceful retreat from the bustle of daily life.
Had such a wonderful anniversary getaway at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut ā¤ļøThe resort was peaceful, beautiful and perfect for a relaxing escape from busy life. Loved the stunning sea view, clean room, delicious food and the warm hospitality from the staff throughout our stay.
The pool was amazing and our child really enjoyed the Kidās Club too š„° It definitely made the trip more family-friendly and enjoyable for parents with kids.
Just a small suggestion ā it would be even better if the Kidās Club could include a mini playground or small slide for children to play š
Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing stay. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so special ⨠Definitely looking forward to coming again!
Our first visit to the resort. A wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. A quiet place to relax and enjoy without noisy children running around. Not too many guest which is very good. Don't feel crowded. Service is good. Buggy service is fast response. Best is the private pool and hotspring water.
Fine dinning is wonderful inside a cave. Breakfast is good. Freshly cooked only when you order and is unlimited. Only issue is location which you need to get transport if going outside. Sunway is building a big shopping mall just outside but only ready in 2028. You also get complimentary entry to Sunworld theme park if you join and follow the trekking from resort to back of Sunworld. A short walk through the forest. Will definitely come back again.

SSteve ZissouHad a lovely long weekend getaway and stayed in the sea villas. The facilities were amazing with fresh water pools, tennis courts, gym and several restaurants with an excellent food selection. Our favourite was fisherman's cove which had more of a western cuisine. Overall we had a really pleasant stay. However having stayed at other similar resorts at a similar price it felt like it was lacking. I know how can I complain about staying in paradise? The area for improvement would be: an additional hose shower head instead of just the overhead one. Cleanliness of the library area. Greeting cold towels and drinks at the main lobby. Selection of shampoos, soaps and moisturisers. Eco-friendly toothbrush and energy controller with key card. Aircon and lights had to be turned off manually if we left the room. I would definitely go again but it would be nice if they took on more eco friendly initiatives.
