Hotels With Spa in Viana do Castelo District, Portugal

Lovely hotel, lobby and reception area, bright cheerful and funky, very relaxed and unobtrusive, staff very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Great choice and selection at breakfast, from fresh fruit and yogurts, cereals and seeds, preserves, toppings, breads, pastries and hot dishes and  for cold meats and cheeses. Evening menu somewhat limited in variety, set menu throughout, excellent quality and portion size, nice wine selection and full bar. If I have a negative, it would be my room, small but fully functional, with mini bar (limited), ideal for a solo traveller, but cramped if sharing. The decor of the room is what let it down! It was painted a dark blue/green which gave the feel of being closed in! Housekeeping service excellent. Overall 9.5/10

The hotel is on the mountain, follow the navigation, the door is not particularly obvious, it is best to check during the day in. The service staff is very enthusiastic, the environment is good, quiet and natural. The hotel has its own horse farm, and horseback riding is required.

We mistakenly booked the hotel in the wrong area, and a non-refundable reservation. A minute after the reservation we requested to cancel through the website where we made the booking - but a few hours later we received a refusal from the hotel - that is - they took money without our stay We have no way to really rate this hotel. It can be excellent and it can be bad The approach was not appropriate and therefore we were disappointed

Excellent stay. We liked everything about it - location, room, and great breakfast with hot and cold items. Perfect stay!

We only found that there was a lack of communication between those who gave us information at the hotel reception and the reception of the gym/spa. The information was not coincident and made us feel foolish because we didn't know what should be informed and wasn't. The hotel quality is better than some people who have taken care of us.

Ribeira is a nice hotel - location is excellent with everything else being good to average. Management can pay more attention to details - as an example, no tissue paper in the room, only one small garbage can etc. The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and steam room - the last two were not working when I used it earlier.

Good stay overall, nice price and amenities with the outdoor pool and indoor as well - nice indoor pool temperature for Portugal. Bad part is that the hotel is clearly understaffed and cleaning is not good. The spa bathroom was not cleaned for 3 days as per the sheet there, but it looked like 30 days

I really liked it, the pool is great and excellent for those with children. The service was very welcoming and they have a great breakfast!!!

A wonderful place. Very close to the beach and at the time, it is put on the mountain. spectacular facilities. The bed was very comfortable. It has 2 swimming pools and a spa completely free for guests. It's an excellent breakfast. It serves dinner on request. All is very careful until the last detail. The staff is super sympathetic and pleasant. Our instance has been perfect. Thanks
