A modern temple
Original Text
It was a temple that I thought the building located in front of the gate was modern. There was a statue of Shinran Shonin in front of the building that seemed to be a residence.
It is a temple with a modern appearance facing Yasukuni-dori.

It is a temple with a modern appearance facing Yasukuni-dori. It's almost in the middle of Akebono Bridge from Shinjuku 3-chome, so office workers and work seem to be busy, but no one noticed this temple and it was very quiet.
There is the tomb of Kiyoshi Atsumi, the main character of Tora-san. I have a strong image of Katsushika Shibamata, but I felt like I met Tora-san in Shinjuku.
It is located along Yasukuni-dori, about halfway between Shinjuku Sanchome Station and Akebonobashi Station. It seems that there is Kiyoshi Atsumi's grave, but I couldn't confirm it. The main hall is modern and not very tasteful. A statue of Shinran saint stands in the precincts. From Yotsuya to Shinjuku, there are many temples related to historical figures, so it would be a good idea to visit them together.
It is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu Higashi Honganji school. There is a grave of Kiyoshi Atsumi (real name: Yasuo Tadokoro). Facing Yasukuni-dori. The south side is a cliff.
