Kannonji Temple Highlights: Must-See Features and Attractions
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
Guanyin Temple was originally located in Kanda Kita-machi, formerly known as Changfu Temple. It was moved to its current location in the 8th year of Yanbao in Japan (1680 AD), and was renamed Guanyin Temple in the first year of Japan's Xiangbao (1716 in the park). The temple has a long-established wall, and the steeply sloped roof on the temple looks like a Chinese Tang Dynasty building. There is a memorial tower of Ako Langshi in the temple. If you are interested, you may wish to search the story of Ako Langshi online. After avenging their late master Asano in 1703, the 47 rogues committed suicide by cutting their abdomens and their graves are in today's Senyue Temple.
