Top rated hotels in Azores

The Shipyard - Angra

A superb hotel for our stay in Terceira for 3 nights. We stayed in a large one bedroom apartment which had a small kitchenette/living area and huge bathroom. The free garage parking was appreciated in an area with limited parking. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town. Our apartment was on the second floor with a large glass fronted balcony which overlooked the boat yard and sea beyond. The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived with reception providing directions to the secure underground parking for our car, the restaurant staff who were friendly, helpful and professional and housekeeping. The breakfast was superb it included a large buffet with everything from local cheeses and cold meats, bread, pastries and even fresh honey draining from the honey comb. There was also a cooked breakfast on offer but as the buffet was great we didn't go with cooked option. We also appreciated the option to have a barista made coffee with breakfast if desired.
Mosteiros Place

I spent two nights at Mosteiros Place to start off my honeymoon in the Azores and it was the absolutely best place for this! It was so relaxing and all the staff were incredibly accommodating to any needs. We enjoyed the privacy this location offered due to the limited number of units they have. All of the food and drinks we had were great, and you can’t beat the views! We would absolutely recommend this location for anyone looking to explore the Western coast of Sao Miguel island.
Sao Vicente Lodge - Atlantic Retreat

In this new visit to the island of São Miguel, I chose a accommodation in the north part of the island, where there are a variety of new accommodations. I admit that the reservation was made only through the photos provided by the accommodation, and I have not read any testimony of old guests. At the time of the reservation, I found that the breakfast requested was high and I did not choose this option. hours before check-in I received a message from the accommodation to inform the access codes to the accommodation. It is a simple process, although I think the door does not always open easily. I would like to point out that there is an access door to the garden/swimmingpool (and, as a result, to the accommodations of the rees of the floor) that has always been open during the night. I believe that in terms of the safety of guests, they should check/rectify this situation. In relation to the studio with two rooms, it seemed very good at first, but it was found that it was very warm during the night, without the possibility of opening the window to the street (at least I could not). For a 3-night stay, I think the hygiene products were not enough. Despite the sympathy and availability of the person who sent the welcome messages, I regret that we have only had close contact with the staff member (or owner) of the accommodation at the time we check out This accommodation has all the conditions to improve and be a reference, but I cannot give a higher assessment in view of other places where I have already been hosted, taking into account the same price range.

The complex is located in the tranquil village of Capela, a quarter drive from the capital and the airport. A car is a must, but you need it to visit this beautiful island. Our 2-kamerappartement was very spacious and clean. The beds were fine with choice from two kitchens. The hotel is very fully equipped with oven, microwave, Nespresso device (cups for payment) and water cooker with free tea. With no cleaning, you will receive a €3 voucher per day to spend in the restaurant. However, €3 is not worth much in this restaurant, since prices are huge: a cappuccino costs €3.50 here while the prices for coffee are around €1.20 on the island you need to ask yourself for the vouchers, The hotel was very comfortable and it was very comfortable and it was very comfortable and it was very comfortable. The sauna, fitness room and the indoor and outdoor pool were not used, so I can't evaluate this. Sufficient parking space. Coffee to drink between the locals in the Moby Dick cafeteria in the village. Supermarkets Pingo Doce and Continentale nearby car distance.
