Anonymous UserFacilities: Since it just opened, everything is very new, but there are no strange smells, which is great.
Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well.
Environment: Among the hotels in Dongmen, the environment here is excellent because it has its own courtyard with its own unique scenery. Plus, the public areas are also very distinctive; I really liked them.

Guest UserGreat place to stay. Super modern amenities, everything goes seamless from the pickup service, check-in, and chatting with the staffs (you need Wechat). While this place is about 30 minutes away from downtown Zhangjiajie and Tianmen mountain cableway station, you can truly feel being at Zhangjiajie as you get to stay at a place that is surrounded by foggy mountains. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and pretty decent and other Chinese menu that you can order at the hotel restaurant are phenomenal. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place to other travelers.

KatiTranWe had a wonderful stay here as a family of four and were genuinely impressed by the overall experience. The room was incredibly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable throughout our stay.
What impressed us the most was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Every team member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They even arranged a complimentary airport pickup for us, which made our arrival very smooth and stress-free.
The staff also helped us a lot with planning our visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. They assisted us with organizing our itinerary, making reservations, and answering all of our questions immediately whenever we needed support. It has been a long time since we experienced such genuine hospitality and kindness.
Although our first room had a few minor issues, the staff responded immediately and helped us without hesitation by arranging a new room for us right away. During our departure, we even noticed that the original room was already being renovated and the issues were being fixed, which really showed us how much the hotel cares about maintaining high standards and listening to guest feedback.
Another highlight was the beautiful rooftop terrace with a wonderful view over the city. The hotel location is also excellent, with major attractions and important sights reachable within just a few minutes on foot. The free laundry service was also a very convenient bonus during our trip.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Zhangjiajie. We would also like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for excellent service, comfort, and exceptional hospitality.

The hotel is about a five-minute drive from the East Gate (Wulingyuan Entrance) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. They offer a thoughtful shuttle service, which is very convenient. The rooms are spacious and clean, with great mountain views. What I loved most was the breakfast area on the fifth floor; you can choose to dine on the terrace with a beautiful view, making the meal extra enjoyable! Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and the price was excellent because it was off-season. A truly pleasant experience!

Guest UserAfter a long search on Trip.com, I finally settled on this hotel, and it truly exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money. The lobby was spacious and bright as soon as I walked in. They even have a self-service check-in area for Trip.com VIPs, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. I was very pleased with the room – it was large, well-lit, and fully equipped. The in-room smart speaker (Xiao Du) was a fantastic touch, playing soft music that helped me drift off to sleep peacefully. The cleanliness was impeccable, and there was a subtle, pleasant fragrance. When I ran out of water, I contacted the butler, and a fresh supply was delivered immediately – the service was simply outstanding. The hotel restaurant served a delicious dinner at a reasonable price, with plenty of options to choose from, making for a very satisfying meal.
What really stood out was its proximity to the ancient city. After dinner, it was just a few minutes' walk to Youhong Bridge in the heart of the ancient city. I even met an old lady selling flower wreaths. Strolling through the ancient city, wearing a locally woven flower wreath, was a truly delightful experience.

Guest UserI brought my parents to Zhangjiajie for the May Day holiday and after some consideration, we chose Shawn. The experience was excellent.
The location is great – convenient for dining and shopping, yet away from the bustling city center. There's a stream behind the hotel, and you can see Tianmen Mountain in the distance, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the activity.
The hotel environment is lovely, with a Shawn-themed design and stylish decor. It's well-equipped with a gym, family-friendly facilities, a bar, and dining options.
Upon check-in, we received a free room upgrade. The room was clean, the bedding spotless, and the orthopedic mattress was incredibly comfortable. We slept very well after two days of exploring Zhangjiajie.
The butler service was exceptional. The manager, front desk, housekeeping, and engineering staff provided one-on-one service through a group chat, attending to every request promptly without being intrusive. It was a fantastic experience.

A very unique and memorable stay in Zhangjiajie!
We stayed 2 nights in the Morning Glow King Suite Bedroom. The highlight of this homestay is its cave concept. The reception area is huge, impressive, and beautifully designed, creating a real wow factor upon arrival.
The property also features a cave restaurant where breakfast is served, and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. There is also a cosy cave lounge for guests to relax.
Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The facilities were well maintained and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.
Location is excellent. The homestay is hidden behind the famous theatre performance venue but only a short walk to the main street, making it convenient while remaining quiet.
Highly recommended for travellers looking for a unique accommodation experience in Zhangjiajie. The cave setting alone makes it worth staying here.

Judah JibrinStayed June 2026 — 5/5, would book again
I picked Baihe River Valley because it sits right inside the core scenic area of Furong Town, and that turned out to be the best decision of the trip. The inn is only about a 5-minute walk to the Grand Waterfall, opened in 2020 with just 21 rooms, so it feels small and personal rather than a big hotel.
First impression: awesome staff. I was met at the entrance, luggage carried up, and even though my Mandarin is limited we sorted everything on WeChat in two minutes. That matches what other guests keep saying — “really friendly and helpful… view was amazing and rooms clean”, and “staff are so lovely, kind and helpful”. They also arranged a free pickup from the train station and dropped me back the next morning, which took all the stress out of arriving in the ancient town.
The environment is exactly what you hope for in Furong. Chinese-style décor, warm wood, and it’s spotless — 24-hour hot water, strong WiFi everywhere, daily housekeeping. My mountain-view queen room was 25m², quiet, no dust, bed made perfectly each day. Others note the same: “room is clean and bed was comfortable”.
Food was a real highlight. The in-house restaurant runs a la carte from 07:30 to 19:30 with outdoor tables, and breakfast is Chinese-style 07:30–09:30. I tried their Tujia national cuisine in the evening — simple, hearty, locally sourced — and the home-cooked breakfast the next morning was tasty and warming, just as another guest described. Breakfast was “nice” is an understatement when you’re eating it with the waterfall mist in the air.
And the views. One of a kind is not marketing. From my third-floor window I could see the tiled roofs of Furong Ancient Town, and at night the whole gorge lights up. The hotel is positioned “very well, close to the waterfall at 5 minutes walk”, and I was upgraded to a room looking down onto the ancient town — “particularly amazing at night”. Waking up to the roar of the falls, drinking tea on the balcony, watching the lights reflect off the river — that’s the memory I’ll keep.
Practical bits: 24/7 front desk, check-in after 12:00, check-out before 14:00, free shuttle service available, pets allowed, and the staff will help with town entry tickets.
Overall: friendly people who actually care, great local food, an impeccably clean and calm base, and waterfall views you can’t get anywhere else. It’s currently rated 9.5/10 from 757 reviews, and after staying, I get why. If you want to experience Furong Town without the crowds and noise, stay here — and ask for a mountain-view room on floor 3 or 4.

This was genuinely my favourite hotel during my travels in China. From the warm welcome of the lovely staff “Jiajia” who helped me check in, go over the itinerary and map of the Zhangjiajie National Park area. To helping carrying my bags up to my room. It was a very personal and warm stay. When checking out it was exactly the same, plus she gifted me a little farewell gift to leave with a souvenir 🙏🏻 thank you for this memorable and wonderful stay.
In terms of location. It is perfect. It’s about a 10min walk to the South Gate entrance and from there eveything goes very smooth. Beautiful night views along the riverside in the night time.
