Beautiful traditional guesthouse right by the river — perfect location for exploring the old town of Fenghuang. The rooms are clean and cozy, with lovely wooden decor and a nice balcony view over the water. The owners are super kind and helpful, even though their English is limited, they really make you feel welcome. Great atmosphere and excellent value for money. Highly recommended if you want an authentic stay in Fenghuang!

The room facilities are new and fully smart-controlled. You can use voice commands for the curtains, TV, and lights. The toilet is also a smart one. The room is spacious, as is the bathroom, which features a wet/dry separation and a bathtub. Disposable bathroom amenities are provided, including disposable toilet seat covers and bathtub liners.
The breakfast is abundant and delicious, available from 6:30 AM. The restaurant is clean, hygienic, and spacious.
The staff are very enthusiastic and patient. The front desk is very knowledgeable about local tour routes, offering guests excellent suggestions and route maps. This saves you from taking unnecessary detours. The hotel also provides a dedicated shuttle service to the scenic area's landmark gate, available on demand, which is very timely and convenient.
The hotel's surroundings are pleasant. It's very convenient to go out for shopping and dining, and prices are reasonable.

Great value for money and super convenient transportation, really got me excited for my trip! (´͈ ᵕ `͈ )◞♡ I used the laundry service and ordered bottled water through the mini-program. The cleaning staff were excellent; they proactively emptied the trash and refilled essentials every day, and even helped tidy up the bed, which was a thoughtful touch. There was also a surprise farewell gift when we checked out, which my daughter absolutely loved!
Facilities: The Chinese-style decor is very distinctive. The shower has great water pressure, and the AC/heating works wonderfully. Very good.
Hygiene: Excellent for this price range.
Environment: The night view is beautiful. Yuet Bridge is a must-visit spot for photos, very unique.
Service: The butler, Kele, provided excellent service.

This was my first time choosing Wyndham, and I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel's location is excellent; it's a 10-minute walk to the A-line entrance of Tianmen Mountain. It's also convenient for dining and strolling around right outside. The lovely front desk staff even upgraded me to a mountain view room for free. The room had very new tech features, and the shower pressure was fantastic. The breakfast was quite rich. The front desk staff also helped explain the scenic area's tour routes and purchased tickets for me, which even saved me a bit of money! 😁😁

Great location. The hotel is right at the lovely riverbank and close to the East entrance of the park. Many eateries around the hotel. We had a family room; with a queen bed and a twin bed. The bed is hard but very comfortable. The buffet is average with a soup noodle station. The staff is really nice and professional, especially the front desk staff Xiao Hai, who helped us with our tour tips, booked our tour tickets, and arranged a tour guide. Also, a special thanks and appreciation to Mr.
彭, who went above and beyond his duties to help us with our laundry. On our second night at the hotel, we came to do the laundry late in the evening, and there was a line of people ahead of us. Mr. 彭 told everyone to just write down each of our room numbers, and he will take care of the laundry for us while we sleep. Indeed, our clothes were ready by 6 am the next day. Thanks again for the great service. We will stay here again if we come back.
A very pleasant stay at this hotel. Breakfast is good with a lot of variety choices. I give especially my compliments to Tony Long who is really friendly and helpful.
Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and scenery was nice. The staff even let us choose the room we want after taking a look at the scenery. Location wise, it is at the most corner of the city, but the city is small and is only around 1km plus away from the city center, so make it nice to take a stroll down the river to the city center. Staff even offer to pick us up after the walk.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to the subway station! You can take the subway directly to Wuyi Square and IFS, making it super convenient for both business and shopping. The front desk service was incredibly attentive and efficient, always ready to answer any questions – it perfectly met my business trip needs! Plus, they offer free warm and comforting congee in the evening, which instantly soothes away any fatigue. The room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next business trip and highly recommend it to any friends visiting Changsha for work!
The hotel is quiet, clean, and in a good location. It is a 200-meter walk to the shopping mall, where you can eat, drink, and play. Ctrip gave me Tremella soup when I checked in, and the room was worth the price. I went there for swimming, but it was closed at 7 o'clock during the Spring Festival. It was said that the lifeguards went off work early for the Spring Festival (understandable), but I went there the next day and didn't see any lifeguards the whole time... The water in the shallow pool of the swimming pool was warm, the environment was very good, and there was an endless city view...
A few suggestions, there were children staying in the room, but there were no supplies for children... Go to the front desk to ask. Toothbrushes and slippers were added later (no bath towels)

GGuest UserWonderful hotel that feels like a homestay in between both Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie so that it’s convenient to both Tianmen Mountain and each Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park!
First of all you will be captivated by the sheer beauty of the Foggy Valley building with its epicenter allowing for views of the mountain. But after you return to earth you are welcomed and charmed by the service of the entire staff! Mr. Hu, Mr. Sheng and the wonderful reception ladies and restaurant aunty helped make sure we were prepared for the booking/planning of our days at both Tianmen mountain and ZJJ National Park.
Through Weixin/Wechat the whole team works to coordinate your bfast, lunch or dinner as needed, and smooth checkin and checkout process almost like having a personal travel concierge! Finally you will be charmed by the small details (very cute dogs and cats, delicious homestyle cooking, beautiful rooms, waterfall shower, smart toilet, afternoon tea).
Only 10mins to the East Gate by car, 15 mins to South Gate, 30mins to Tianmen Cableway and they offered pickup/dropoff to airport. Thank you again!
GGuest UserJust completed our 4-day, 3-night trip to the magnificent Zhangjiajie, staying at the equally—if not more—beautiful and serene Zhangjiajie Celestial Valley Minsu. Without the crowds, this place truly feels like a hidden gem. Of all the accommodations we stayed at during our first trip to China, Celestial Valley felt more like a home, nestled in a location with out-of-this-world scenery.
After spending a full day in the bustling Zhangjiajie National Park, returning here to enjoy an outdoor dinner with breathtaking views—followed by a “celestial wonder” of millions of stars—was an unbelievably magnificent experience.
From our 4 days with driver Mr. 孫, to the warm hospitality of front desk staff 小蔣 and 小范, and the kind assistance of 小鄭, everyone treated us like family. They arranged every detail of our trip, ensuring we made the most of our short stay in Zhangjiajie. From booking tickets in advance (so we didn’t have to fight the crowds), to planning our meals, and providing detailed information about the best spots in the National Park, Grand Canyon, and Tianmen Mountain, we felt utterly pampered. Leaving Zhangjiajie—and especially our “new family”—was the hardest part.
Our spacious, fully equipped, and spotlessly clean room offered a magnificent panoramic view of the gorgeous mountains. Outside, there were plenty of seating areas to enjoy their organic farms, vibrant flowers, and blossoming trees. Oh, and I must mention the cutest dogs and cats who greeted us daily—they added such charm to our stay! It was so hard to leave, and we’re already counting the days until we can return. Next time, we’ll stay longer—please save our room for us!
PPo-Fai ChengThis hotel boasts a superb location, right near the East Gate of Zhangjiajie. The room offered expansive views of the magnificent mountains, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, going above and beyond—from quickly replacing remote control batteries and refilling the steam fireplace, to helping me mail postcards back to Canada. The service was truly outstanding. The front desk staff even helped me plan a two-day itinerary for exploring Zhangjiajie mountains and provided a very detailed map. The noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the cat in the lobby was adorable. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the Old Town scenic area. The hotel management is very strict, ensuring a clean environment and complete facilities. They even have an exclusive floor for Trip.com users. The hotel's service philosophy is strong; floor attendants quickly address and resolve any issues with a great attitude. The front desk staff are also very helpful, always ready to answer questions. The daily complimentary fruit helps replenish trace elements and alleviate fatigue, and upon check-out, they even offer local specialty snacks, which is a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, it's very pet-friendly, showing they are a caring establishment.
MM11714****I came back to visit relatives during the Spring Festival. I looked around and found that the 4-diamond one was relatively new.
1. The room facilities were good and clean, but the 3rd floor was an entertainment venue.
2. There were a lot of people who drank and smoked a lot when they got on the elevator, which was quite unsafe. 3. There were not many types of breakfast, so just make do with it.
MMishDishBishThis hotel really has been a highlight of our trip in China. The hotel owner and staff are so helpful and delightful. They really go the extra yard to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They offer a free pick up service from the airport and train station which we gratefully accepted.
The hotel is situated in the town and was a key reason why we chose this hotel as it was a short stroll to all the local food spots - extremely handy for dinner. The hotel is a 15-20 minute flat walk to the entrance to the Park.
All the amenities are extremely luxurious including C.O Bigelow bathroom amenities, Doewe Egberts filtered coffee, Dyson hair dryer set, Smart TV and room integrated with an AI assistant (Chinese language), soft velvety bathrobes, toilet with a bidet, and Bamford bath salts.
Breakfast is made fresh daily with the choice of wontons, rice noodles and shrimp noodles. Complimenting this is a selection of delicious fruits, steamed buns, sausage, dumplings and rice congee. Eastern and Western diets are catered for with many seasonal fruits on offer. We also had toast and fruit juice. They also offer a free laundry service and did the laundry for us on our last evening and the clothes were ready early in the morning on our departure.
Of huge importance to us was them taking the guess work out of organising our trip to the Zhangjiajie National Park. The owner sat down with us and provided a large map of the park and skillfully explained which parts to visit and which transportation to take between each site and sketched it on the map for us to keep. We paid for a park-wide ticket that covered all the internal transportation and access fees - something we highly recommend and is extremely efficient and economical.
On the day of our visit to the park it was terribly cold, rainy, windy, and foggy. We were unsure which bus to take at one of the sites and they promptly replied to us on WeChat (this program is a must to use when travelling in China and most hotels use this to communicate with you when not face to face) after we took a picture of the signs and asked which bus to take. They also turned the temperature up to 26 degrees in our room so we were welcomed with a warm, toasty room. So considerate!! The room also had shoe dryers for wet shoes.
On our last day during breakfast, at the communal table were guests from Hong Kong, Australia, Russia and Africa. This hotel is extremely foreigner friendly. We are so glad we chose this hotel!
KKim from Florida, USCherry at the front of the house was 5 star amazing. Not only did she communicate with me before my arrival to confirm everything was set, including my airpirt pick-up, but was also mine and and staffs right hand when it came to language barriers. She guided me how to return with booking another night when my flight got canceled and had me quickly and safely returned to the hotel. If promotability is an option she should be front of the house manager!
Monica was also a great facilitator for my stay and at the main restaurant. Beautiful voice ❤️.
Property was beautiful and additional nature exploration time should be planned to highlight it's beauty.
MM268849****This is hands down the best guesthouse I've ever stayed in. It's not huge, but it's incredibly charming and well-appointed. The ambiance is absolutely my style, and the service was beyond excellent. For first-timers, it can be a bit tricky to find, but the hotel contacted us in advance and had someone guide us directly to the underground parking. When we returned from our outing, they had already washed, dried, and neatly folded our clothes. They even thoughtfully prepared some sweet soup for us. The entire place was spotless and well-maintained. In the evening, the kids had a blast playing with the cats and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend! 👍🏻

GGuest UserHonestly, this was one of the warmest hotel experiences I’ve had in China. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help me with everything — from prebooking the scenic area ticket (at a discount!) to arranging a smooth free pickup based on my train arrival time.
They even upgraded my room for free to one with a great mountain view. Throughout my stay, they helped me explore the area and even told me about the evening cultural show in the village — which was amazing, and I would’ve totally missed it if they hadn’t mentioned it.
In the morning, when I said I couldn’t eat pork, they quickly prepared a special noodle dish just for me and helped point out the other pork-free options. They also arranged my departure taxi without any hassle.
The location is great too — just a few minutes’ walk to the waterfall. Overall, such kind people and a genuinely pleasant stay. Highly recommend this hotel.
