There was a girl at the front desk who was really friendly. I saw her name on her ID card was Vita. She was not the kind of distant and polite staff, but really stood from our perspective to handle all problems for us. Because our mobile phone was not a mainland card and could not connect to WIFI, she studied it for a while and helped us connect successfully. When we checked in, she told us that the climate here was dry, and the room notified us to add more water. When we went downstairs to go out and asked her for information about the surrounding areas, she personally helped us show us the way and called a taxi for us. She also told us that there is a big temperature difference between morning and night in Xining, and we need to add more clothes when going out in the morning and evening. The places recommended to us are delicious and affordable. There is really no formatted feeling of staying in a hotel, just like the feeling of a child at home helping you arrange things. The only regret is that we didn't meet her again when we checked out, otherwise we should thank her in person.

The hotel is conveniently located not far from both the airport and train station, just a 20-minute taxi ride to Caojiapu Airport. On the day of arrival, we called ahead and were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a family suite. It featured a 1.8-meter king-size bed and a 1.5-meter bunk bed. Both grandma and the little one had their own beds, and our child, who had always dreamed of sleeping on the top bunk, was absolutely thrilled! They didn't even want to check out. Breakfast was also good, though it did get quite busy during peak hours, and we had to wait for a table. What makes it stand out are the incredibly welcoming staff, the plentiful and delicious breakfast, the warm and comfortable rooms, and, most importantly, the truly comfortable beds and bedding. This time, taking advantage of a holiday, my friends and I set off from Lanzhou for a spontaneous Gansu-Qinghai Grand Loop road trip. We were on the road early mornings and late nights every day, so by the time we reached Qinghai Hotel for the night, I slept soundly from 11 PM until 8 AM. It was exactly what I needed to truly recover and shake off the fatigue.

It was midnight when we arrived in Xining. As the starting point of the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop, we had a good rest. The new hotel has a little smell, but it is fine once the fresh air system is turned on. The breakfast is not suitable for southerners, it is simple and not suitable for this star rating.

I passed by Maqin just to have a rest at night. I didn’t expect that there would be such a good hotel here, and it can also bring dogs. The room is spacious and tidy, and the hygiene is very clean. They even gave me small gifts when I left in the morning. I really like it.

The staff at this hostel is very kind hearted and welcoming — we even received a free room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise! The interior is cozy and the location is also great, with a nearby bus stop, multiple restaurants and a supermarket.

In Qumalai, this place is definitely the best hotel. There is a dining downstairs. The boss is from Sichuan. Although there is no elevator, the luggage helps to mention the upstairs. The sheets are lightly washed powder. There is a water dispenser on each floor. The restaurant downstairs is Ipad order, there are many varieties of dishes, and the kitchen is very clean. The dishes taste good too.
