Travel Bug QueenAbsolutely fantastic stay at this fab hotel, beds super comfy, great location close to the airport, and the best thing about this hotel is the scrumptious breakfast buffet, where ever need is catered for. So much choice and food is of excellent quality and served hot.
This hotel is our go to when we fly out from Heathrow the following day.

Katherine MorganHotel really well situated for the motorway and for Newbury station.
The facilities are really good, and service received from the moment we arrived from the very friendly and helpful member of staff on reception.

I booked 2 nights here with my friend and our 2 sons. The rooms were small but immaculate, and we had everything we needed provided. The staff were lovely, helpful and professional. The only thing is, that the pool is small, and if you go in half term then you won’t have anywhere to sit or put your towels and the pool is packed.
The only negative is that although I booked it months ago, received reminders and confirmation, our booking wasn’t there. Thankfully, the staff were able to sort us 2 rooms next to each other which surprised me as it was half term.

Pros: Excellent location, right opposite the castle with a shopping street right outside the door.
Cons:
1) The room had a musty smell.
2) The cleanliness was terrible.
Service:
3) One staff member was very good, but the others we encountered later were not. They didn't even show us to our room. Our room was in an annex building, and they didn't explain that clearly, so we had to drag our luggage around looking for it for a long time. I was so close to losing my temper.
Overall, it's very old, not very clean, and not a premium experience.

Guest UserThe hotel facilities are outdated and have an unpleasant smell. The staff were satisfactory; they promptly called a technician to fix the shower pipe and drain issues. Thankfully, it was just for one night, so we managed. Although the location is a bit far from Windsor Castle, the price was cheap. I guess it balanced out in the end.

OllieSFirst receptionist we dealt with was really nice but then she had to ask a colleague for help with our check in and she was extremely rude. Having booked an executive room, we were told we didnt get access to the executive lounge as hadn't booked direct. Load of rubbish. Went to our room, quick call to Hilton Customer Care and they confirmed we did have executive lounge access so went back to reception.
The hotel is really comfortable, big spacious rooms, nice beds, bathrooms with shower and bath. Water wasn't free even in executive rooms which was a bit of a shock (£2.50 a bottle).
Executive lounge was nice but service much cut back from last time I stayed at few years ago. Fridges empty most of the day, snacks not topped up. Dirty cups everywhere etc. Evening snacks was good but again, reduced compared to what they used to offer. Spirits and prosecco was a nice touch though.
Breakfast served in the restaurant for executive room guests. Really nice selection, mostly buffet but eggs and omelettes cooked to order. Nice coffee.
Staff on the whole are really friendly and welcoming (apart from the receptionist on day one). We had 3 nights here and enjoyed it.
There is a shuttle bus from terminal 5 to the hotel door which is £6.80 per person or you can take bus number 5 which stops on the road outside the hotel for £1.50. If staying more than one night, there is buses to Windsor, legoland, Slough and hounslow (for the tube to central london).

FanyuhaogeThe room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast selection was quite rich, and the hygiene was clean and tidy. The service attitude was good, offering great value for money. It's a bit of a distance from the train station, requiring a short walk or a ride-sharing service.

A great hotel, close to the motorway for the night before arriving at Heathrow for early morning flight. Only 3 days before arriving, I received an email stating that the car park for the night would be £7.50 for the night. Unfortunately none of this was mentioned in the booking, be aware that there is a car parking charge overnight

Guest UserA Wonderful Stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel
We recently stayed in the Windsor House section of the hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The cleanliness stood out immediately — everything from the bed to the bathroom was spotless, making it feel like a true home away from home. It’s rare to feel so comfortable using hotel facilities without hesitation, but this room was truly impeccable.
The location is ideal — just by the riverside and within easy walking distance of Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, Côte Brasserie, and the boat tours. Windsor Castle is only a pleasant 15-minute walk away, making it perfect for sightseeing.
The service throughout our stay was excellent. From the warm welcome at reception to the helpful and friendly cleaning staff, every interaction felt genuinely caring and professional.
Our stay included breakfast, which was a generous British buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold options, including pastries, fresh fruit, and more. There were plenty of drink choices with refills available, and the coffee was lovely — a great way to start the day.
In conclusion, we highly recommend the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel. We were extremely pleased with our experience and will definitely be returning in the future.
