The location is excellent, very close to the beach with great views. The rooftop pool is beautiful, and it's also near many dining options. There's even a convenience store, BHC fried chicken, and burgers available within the hotel. The staff are very polite.
The room was spacious and clean, but the hotel seemed old. Bottom of the bathroom sink was open, and it was dirty things were visible, which was very upsetting. The towels were also yellowed and had been used for a long time, so they were still yellow even after washing.
It's very close to the station and Chuncheon Myeong-dong. There are supermarkets and markets about ten minutes' walk away. The rooms in the Jakson Hotel are mixed together and are smaller than expected. You can still hear the sound of cleaning when you check in at three or four o'clock.
The Sokcho Cassia Hotel, which we visited for our wedding anniversary trip, was located in Daepo Port, and we could see both the port and the sea from the veranda of the accommodation. It was on the 25th floor, and when we went in, there was a slight musty smell from the bathroom shower room, so we took off one star for cleanliness! The breakfast here was 66,000 won, which was expensive compared to other accommodations, so we had high expectations, but there weren't many options for the price. Weekends are divided into three parts, and you can choose on a first-come, first-served basis when you check in. I think the checkout time was 11:00, but we checked out right after 8:00 after the first part of the breakfast to avoid traffic.
Wow! It felt like time travel back to the last century in the UK, the moment you step into the hotel lobby, which is full of nostalgic British decorations. The restaurant, especially, is like a royal family gallery with photos of Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, Prince Charles, Prince William, and other royals covering the walls.
Each floor features a unique theme dedicated to various public figures, including presidents, diplomats, sports stars, movie stars, singers, and actors. The hallways are decorated with photos and memorabilia, making every walk a discovery.
The location is very close to the entrance of Seorak Mountain National Park, within a 7-10 minute walk.
My double bedroom is lovely with a nice view of greenery. The only downside and a major issue to me is that no AC at night, which is not mentioned in the hotel’s description. The staff explained that the AC is centrally controlled and is turned off at night because they assume it’s cool enough. They can only give me a fan.
I had both dinner and buffet breakfast at the hotel, and they were all good, and all the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were very nice and friendly as well.
This hotel is located right by a bus stop. Plenty of restaurants were nearby. Breakfast was very good. The staffs were very kind and helpful. Room was very clean!
Dignity Hotel is located right next to the ocean, so for sea-loving folks, this is the place for you! Naksan Temple is 20mins away, but the beautiful ocean will keep you occupied while you stroll over.
Room-wise, the room is very spacious, with a large walk in dressing room and a lounging area. It is also very quiet at night (it is the countryside after all!) and you will be guaranteed a good rest.
Amenities around the areas are sparse as it is still low-season (for instance, the nearest well-stocked convenience store is 20 mins away). So I recommend to purchasing the morning buffet at the hotel restaurant so you wouldn’t go hungry in the mornings while thinking about where to explore.
Regardless, I expect the area to be much more accessible during the high-season of summer, so plan accordingly!
All in all, if I return to Yangyang, Dignity Hotel will be my first choice in selecting a place to stay. I had a wonderful time there.
I waited an hour to check in. They said it was because it was the end of the year, but other reviews don't seem to suggest that, and it looks like there's always a wait regardless. Even if it was a Sunday at the end of the year, is a 60-team wait normal? Shouldn't they change their system?
I wonder if it's right to just leave so many guests in the lobby without any measures taken for the long wait. I thought I was at a marketplace. I couldn't tell if I was on vacation or at a training camp.
If it's going to be like this every weekend and during peak season, who would want to come here again? Just the waiting itself is stressful.
It's quite a distance, so if you're coming on your own, you'll need to take a taxi. It costs about 25,000 won each way. The breakfast spread is huge, but there are no restaurants around the hotel at night, only within the resort itself. There isn't even a casual spot to grab a drink.
Nice clean hotel across from a nice beach for surfing. I was initially disappointed to find the hotel was across a very busy road from the beach, but the hotel itself is quiet and the rooftop in the morning was a great way to take in the sunset. I might not book here again because of the busy road but the hotel is nice.

GGuest UserThe hotel room was fairly large. We even got upgraded to one twin bed and one single bed when we only booked two single beds. The hotel is basically on the slopes. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We could store our snowboards at the resort too. We tried out the wine bar which had an amazing special and ate at the bakery everyday.

GGuest UserExcellent stay. Better than expected. I was worried that it would be crowded at the lobby/ common areas due to proximity to ****** which was not a preference. The lobby of convention hotel is grand, peaceful and modern.
I was also worried that it would be inconvenient to reach the ski slopes however the shuttle buses were frequent and you can get to the slopes quickly. The bus stop drop off point is right outside the ticket office for ski passes
Hotel service was welcoming and superb from check in/out to housekeeping. As foreigners we received discount coupons for ski rental and pass. View from room was nice and loved the cream and shower gel etc. Room service was quick and portions are huge. Also how it was delivered was really good too with the robot.
Overall very good and comfortable stay.
AAriesha Nadhira RoslaneMy friends and I came to Intercontinental Alpensia because we got a really good deal and expected to experience snow right at the resort. The snow arrived a bit later than we hoped but honestly, we still had such a good time! The room was lovely, the weather was perfectly chilly (sometimes too cold.. so come prepared!) and we were lucky to catch real snow at Mount Balsangwan by taking the cable car at nearby resort (Mona Yongpyeong)
We have to give a huge shout out to the in-room dining service; the Beef Risotto and Frutti di Mare Pasta were soooo good. Truly delicious!
The whole area is so pretty and calm, especially with the Christmas vibe when we visited. Everything felt cozy and magical. We definitely plan to return! ❄️💙
AAnonymous UserGood choice. It was so clean and nice. It's the best. I definitely plan to visit again on my next trip. I think it would be best to visit with family.
