We booked a ”Grand Super King Room” at this hotel. Good location within a mixed shopping and residential area with both modern and traditional local shopping areas. This offers varied choices to a visitor to Johor Bahru. However, since the hotel is attached to its sister shopping complex, the daytime easy ”short cut” passage is stymied in the early breakfast morning period. The shopping mall opens only from about 10am. This means, to reach the main breakfast street stalls, one needs to navigate a tedious route around this rather large resort and shopping complex. The hotel appears very popular and well booked. Perhaps, that might be the reason why the damaged mini-fridge in my room had not been replaced, yet. I am happy with their rain shower setup. However, not too positive a reaction from my wife, who needed to wear a shower cap to keep her hair dry. The individually controlled air-con panel is also a positive as we could adjust it to our own preferences. Finally, an almost dedicated city bus service from the Johor Bahru CIQ/KL Sentral to the KSL Complex saves visitors a chaotic GRAB (call taxi) ride, with cost savings of RM1.60 versus RM20, per way.

Highly recommend this guesthouse! The customer service team, especially Ivene, was excellent. The check-in guide was clear and the process was super easy. The guesthouse itself was clean and tidy. We opted for a sea-view room which was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. The air conditioning and furnishings were all new. It's also conveniently located close to Singapore, with small shops and department stores nearby.

We always book this hotel every year due to clean and spacious hotel and convenientlly located with nearby KSL mall. Staff is friendly and we had sahur buffet breakfast which was very delicious. Will come again next time.

One night stay on a Friday night. Convenient after shopping at Mid-valley Southkey. Entrance from mall is just above Village Grocer. Checked in was smooth and staff were pleasant and courteous. Room was spacious with a nice window seat. Looks a bit dated but otherwise clean enough. Room was quiet except for the occasional screech from racing motorbikes on the highway next to the hotel. Breakfast spread was quite big. Some hits and misses in terms of food taste. Lamb and chicken rendangs are nice!

Staffs were really good, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They answered all our questions and made sure everything went smoothly. The hotel is clean and location is convenient, close to KSL. Below the hotel there is a small old school food court selling nice yummy hawker food. If you want extra decor for your room or event, it's available at an additional cost. Best to check with the hotel directly for what's offered and how much it is. Photo attached is the simple decoration surprise for my hubby. Last but not least thank you the Dian, for the arrangement.

Breakfast at Oliva cafe was great. But on the 2nd morning which coincides with Xmas day, the service was not too great. Too a while to replenish food 😅 might be due to lack of staff? I don't know. The best point is the location, near (walking distance) to mid valley south key mall but not the same pricey tag to st Giles. Room is clean and functional. I like that I can control the thermostat

The room is quite spacious. They also allowed us to check out late at 1 pm. The breakfast was great, with many varieties, from nasi lemak, noodles, pancakes, an egg station, and many more.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru is perfect for a transit stay! The location is fantastic, super close to the immigration checkpoint, easily walkable, which makes crossing the border a breeze. The room was clean and tidy, with new facilities, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. The breakfast spread was incredibly varied and delicious, truly satisfying. My only regret is that I only stayed for one day, it definitely wasn't enough! The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Johor Bahru. Highly recommended!

The room that I had was quite good as some renovations and painting had been to room particularly the toilet area. The complain I hsve there is no face and hand towel in the toilet. All duty free stores in tbe complec had been closed and no place to biy duty free alcohol

Had a wonderful stay at Amari Johor Bahru. The hotel is modern, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more pleasant. Breakfast had a good variety with both local and international options, and everything was fresh and tasty. Location is excellent—conveniently connected to the mall and close to key attractions, making it easy to get around. Overall, a great hotel with excellent service and comfort.
