Always my go-to hotel whenever I go to Melaka. Love the amenities, convenience, food and service. However, this time round the check in staff wasn't so helpful in assigning me my requested high floor despite my early check-in processing first before getting the keys at 3pm. I approached her again at key collection time at 3pm, yet she dud nothing on my request. I wiuld say her service was too perfunctory and mechanical for a first contact point counter staff. This is not the same good service I used to received countless times from other past visits. Hope the managrment step up her training before she tarnish the hotel reputation.

A very meaningful experience for us and the kids. The children were very satisfied. The air conditioning was cold, and the shower in the bathroom had multiple functions. The swimming pool was spacious and not too deep. The kids' pool was very comfortable.

The service and facilities of this hotel is top notch. Location might be abit further from jonker street but no problem for us as we are driving. There is free shuttle service every 2 hours to town if required. We had a good stay there and will return if we visit Malacca again. There is a bathtub too!
Great location and clean rooms with excellent service. The immediate surroundings were a bit chaotic, and having to go to the front desk every time to validate parking was a minor inconvenience, but everything else was perfect!

As a Malaccan myself, this building has gone through several transformations throughout my lifetime. Previously was a hotel then a college before Wyndham took over management and revived it into a splendid Mediterranean-inspired hotel.
Located in the Portuguese settlement, this hotel is close to tourist and shopping areas like Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan, Jonker Walk and just beside this hotel, there's a food court serving the locally famous 'Ikan Bakar'.
This hotel has only two floors and there's no elevator to go up, only stairs. You are offered with rooms either facing the courtyard or the sea. I absolutely love the pool here because it opens at night as well (until 11 pm) and the water temp is just nice at night for swimming. Beds are amazingly comfy and all the in-room amenities are well equipped and of good quality.
Breakfast was decent with limited selection of western and asian food to choose from. In-room service is also available but not many options available.
Overall I was satisfied with my stay. This place is unique and got strong mediterranean vibe and I really felt I was in Europe once I entered.

We had a truly memorable stay at the Majestic Malacca. The ambiance was absolutely charming, reflecting a beautiful blend of heritage and comfort. Our room offered a serene retreat, and the service provided by the staff was consistently attentive and gracious. Dining at the hotel was a delightful experience, with exquisite flavors and presentation. We wholeheartedly recommend the Majestic Malacca for a wonderful and elegant getaway.
The duvet had some yellowish stains. As for the shower head, there were some water stains that weren't cleaned off properly. The facilities, like the swimming pool, were actually very small and shallow. They call it a 'recreation center,' but it's really just the size of a small restroom.
(However, for the price of 100, it's not bad at all. I personally think it offers great value for money.)

This hotel has a charming retro vibe, with every detail thoughtfully designed. The rooms are spacious, and both the river-view terrace and river-view bathtub are perfect for photos. At check-in, I requested an extra bed, which cost an additional MYR 78, plus taxes. The staff efficiently brought my luggage to the room and made up the extra bed. The location is great – a short walk along the river takes you to the Red Square, St. Paul's Church, and Jonker Street.

I chose Dusit Princess Melaka for my trip this time, and the overall experience was fantastic!
Room and Facilities:
My first impression upon checking in was how spacious and bright the room was. The decor is modern and cozy. As it's a relatively new hotel, all the facilities and equipment are very new and well-maintained. The bedding and toiletries were also of good quality, making for a very comfortable stay.
Public Areas:
The hotel's amenities are a major highlight. The swimming pool has clean water and an expansive view, making an afternoon swim very enjoyable. The gym is well-equipped and has a clean environment, which is great for those who like to work out.
Location:
The location is just right. Although it's not in the bustling city center, it's not far from main attractions like Jonker Street; a Grab ride only takes a few minutes. This allowed us to enjoy the quiet evenings while still having convenient access to everything.
Service and Price:
The staff members were all very friendly, and the check-in and check-out processes were smooth. The service level was excellent. Most importantly, the price was very reasonable, offering exceptional value for money among hotels of its caliber. No deposit is required for check-in either!
Whether it's the hardware facilities or the soft services, this hotel does a great job. If you're looking for a modern, reasonably priced, and conveniently located hotel, this is definitely the place to choose!

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the sea and convenient for getting anywhere. There's a rooftop restaurant next door. However, the facilities are a bit old. If you're traveling with children, be very careful of the sharp glass corners; I actually cut myself while washing my hands.

AAnonymous UserThere is a coach station at this hotel, convenient for travellers. Our room was available for early check-in at 12pm, allowed us to drop-off our bags and start exploring Malacca. The room size is decent for 2, relatively clean, the bed is comfortable. Some areas with minor torn wall paper, some stains on the edges of tiles in the bath room but not too much a concern considering the room rates compared to newer hotels.

GGuest UserThis Ibis is much better than those in China. The room is clean, and the bedding is also quite clean. The breakfast is relatively rich, though the taste might not suit Chinese palates. The front desk staff doesn't speak Chinese, and some only speak Malay, not English. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Jonker Street, and it only takes a few minutes to walk to the Dutch Square (Red Square), which is very convenient.
IIbuYus2We previously visited in 2023 as a couple. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The hotel service was excellent as well. This year, we returned again with our two children, and it was totally worth it. Highly recommended
JJingguliangStaying at Holiday Inn Malacca's sea-view room and falling asleep to the sight of the Malacca Strait was my biggest wish for this trip, and I'm so grateful I finally got to experience my dream Malacca! Malacca's old town is quite small, and every day we took taxis to get around the same few streets. We also visited Ole-Ole Malacca, which is close to the hotel, and the market in front of Dataran Pahlawan. Every day we'd wake up naturally, enjoy the hotel breakfast, and then head out to explore. We tried coconut durian chicken rice and Nyonya cuisine. If we bought something in between, we'd just take a taxi back to the hotel to drop it off before going out again – it was simply delightful! The hotel is actually very close to the Straits Mosque; you can see it from the room, and it's just a ten-minute taxi ride away. The Red Square and Jonker Street are also within walking distance, but it's definitely more convenient to take a taxi if you're with elderly people or children!
We specifically chose to spend Chinese New Year's Eve with my parents in Malacca, and it truly was an unforgettable New Year! The Year of the Horse in Malacca – what an incredible serendipity! We watched the fireworks in Malacca on New Year's Eve, and on New Year's Day, we saw the hotel's high-pole lion dance. We even received a red envelope (lai see) and good wishes for prosperity from the hotel. Thank you, I've kept them as treasures! Malacca is indeed small, but I genuinely felt so much joy here! I will miss you, and thank you, Holiday Inn Malacca, for giving my parents and me such an unforgettable and joyful New Year.
