Hotels With Bars in Melaka, Malaysia

we recently stayed at Hatten Hotel Melaka for a short trip, and I must say this is one of the best stays when I am in Malacca. The staff are friendly and helpful, check in and check out process are smooth and the room is spacious, clean and has a separate living area, 2 televisions and a large king sized bed. Breakfast has a good spread of both local and international options. The location is superb as it's connected to Dataran Palawan Mall. Next to the hotel is Makota Parade Shopping Mall. Will stay again if back to Malacca.

I was getting ready to go to bed when I noticed the air conditioner in the room was literally leaking, not even dripping. Technician came to check up after a complaint was made to the receptionist. The technician asked if I was willing to change room as it would take quite a while to fix the leaking issue. As it was, I moved room from level 27 to level 21 in bathrobe and hotel slippers together with all my stuff. There was only a nice chap from the hotel reception that came to assist with moving of my belongings. All these happened at 23:06 (11:06pm). Just a horrible experience to go through. However, breakfast buffet spread was very good and the staff are generally very approachable and helpful except the lady who was manning the reception that night (night of 8/4/2025) who just seemed very impatient over the phone. That being said, they moved me to a bigger room that night. The photos shown here are referring to the room that suffered the air conditioner leaking issue. I give them poor rating for the amenities based on the lack of servicing of the air conditioning unit in the room.

A great hotel to experience Peranakan style and culture. It's not exactly in the center , about 10 minutes walk from main attractions, but uts a nice walk on local streets. My main concern would be the soundproofing of the rooms, I could hear everything that's happening in the rooms on the right and left, even the water flushing 😳 My room was 702 which had a connecting door,maybe that is why. But definitely something to keep in mind

We came from another hotel and managed to check-in earlier than usual 3pm. The receptionist was really friendly and even congratulated us on our anniversary. Room was being prepared with towel swans and flowers on bed. Even had fruits and a chocolate cake to wish us for our anniversary. There was even a welcome note to us. Room was really spacious, neat and tidy as well. Really enjoyed my stay at dusit princess. Had access to lounge area at the highest floor. Good view! The hotel breakfast was good too! Would recommend family and friends to come. Would also come back again.

We had 3 nights 2 days for the entire stay. The location is ok, walking distance around 10-15mins to Jonker Walk night market. the hotel provides free shuttle to the clock tower (Opposite will be Jonker walk) for every 2 hours till 2200hrs daily, and we can Whatapps concierge in case we need to communicate with the hotel which is very good, and they are very helpful to provide a lot tourist information to us. The size of the hotel room is spacious. it just looks a bit ordinary for the inner design. The temperature is comfortable during sleep at night. Bfast is very so and so, and on the 1st day, we went down to the cafe around 0945 (which they closed at 1030). Everything looked almost finished, and the staff did not replenish the food. The hot dish was not hot enough, while the cold dish like the ham didn't put on top of the ice to make sure the temperature was safe to eat. On the last day of departure, the hotel started construction work (KEEP DRILLING) from 10ish in the morning, but I didnt see any notice posted out in the lift or letter sent to the room to inform the guest. As my mom falled sick those day, and I tried to call the operator and request them to delay a bit the drilling time like drilling after 1230hrs, at least most of the guest check-out first) but the operator was VERY RUDE and said it's already 1200 (in fact that was 11ish not till Check-out time yet) and said they can do nothing to stop it.....sucks....

Pros: ✅ Good Location – Convenient for business travelers and events at MITC. ✅ Parking Availability – Plenty of parking space for guests. Cons: ❌ Small Rooms – Might feel cramped, especially for families or longer stays. ❌ No Fridge in Room – Inconvenient for storing food or drinks. ❌ Windows Cannot Be Opened – Can make the room feel stuffy with no fresh air. ❌ Cleanliness Could Be Better – Some areas may not be well-maintained. ❌ Average Service – Staff may not always be attentive or responsive. ❌ Mediocre Breakfast – Limited variety and average food quality. ❌ Maintenance Issues – Some facilities and rooms could use upgrades.

I have requested for ”no corner room” , however during check in, i was still allocated for a corner room. The room that faces main road could be noisy at night due to traffic on main road. It will be great if the front desk could let us know upfront on the noises at midnight due to main road traffic. Nevertheless, the room was nice and clean, its a good stay.

Great hotel and fascinated by the architecture. Can’t imagine from the look of the hotel front that inside of the building is so big that has 127 rooms. Breakfast is only passable. Will stay again without opting for breakfast next time.

hotel is in good condition. the room is clean and spacious. the facilities are all good but need to complaint on the check in process. Seems other travellers also had complaint the same but same issue still persist. take a very long q to settle and no proper signage on which counters are meant for check in. no staff advise on which line to q. fortunately for my case, 1 of the staff saw me hold my baby and help to check in faster but felt bad for others. second is during breakfast. the q was longggg but the tables are vacant. dont know what hold the staff to do the work faster. there are no long q to take the food also. i would say its not as per parkroyal standard for this one with the price we paid

Good for families or anyone wanting a more laid-back stay. • Facilities: The pool area is beautiful, and the hotel also has a gym and restaurant that serves a decent breakfast.
