Aside the environs outside the hotel which wasn’t neat, our stay at the hotel was so pleasant. Rooms were neat and just perfect. We enjoyed our stay. Proximity to eateries and tourist sites was a plus

The room was clean and spacious. The location is excellent, as the hotel is directly opposite the train station, and most sightseeing spots are within a 10–20 minute walk. We traveled to Brussels mainly for the Christmas markets, which were spread across different areas of the city, and we were able to reach all of them on foot. Although the breakfast was not particularly impressive, it was still convenient and nice to have it included in the stay.
Standard hotel for sleep, bathroom looks a bit tired, could do with a deep clean or renovation. Hair dryer not very effective. A/C doesn't work very well, could need maintenance. For a Superior room it didn't feel very superior. Good amount of space though. Close to main station for Eurostar.
I received an invoice by email on the morning of my departure, which indicated I had been charged twice for breakfast, once at the time of booking and once on arrival (which I questioned as I believed I had requested this when booking, but I was told not, so I paid).
Despite this, on the second and last day of my stay I was refused admission to the restaurant for breakfast as I was not on the list, even though my keycard (see photo) clearly stated I was registered.
Reception could find no record of my payment! It was only when I confronted them with the emailed invoice that they provided me with a voucher. The delay in sorting this out - compounded by one elevator being out of service during my stay, and the one remaining struggling to cope with demand (see second photo) - left me with insufficient time to eat much.
Trying to sort the matter out afterwards with the hotel management was a frustrating process. Great location and clean room, let down by lousy administration.
The environment is great, and the service is excellent. It's super convenient to get around as it's right next to the train station. They change the sheets every day and clean daily, which I really appreciate. Plus, the price is very reasonable.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance to all major attractions in the city. Being able to stroll over to the illuminated Grand Place at night was a huge plus! Aside from the breakfast being a bit pricey and the room being smaller than what you'd typically find in a 4-star hotel in China, everything else was great. Especially the bed and pillows – super comfortable!
Convenient location, very near to Brussels Midi/Zuid. Opted for this as we were just staying for a night in Brussels, and will be leaving via Eurostar the next morning. Great location and only 30minutes walk to the Grand Place/ city centre. Love the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate provided by the hotel.
It was alright, pretty standard. It's quite close to the station, and the supermarket behind the hotel has incredibly cheap prices, which was a pleasant surprise! As for the hotel itself, well, it's missing a lot of basic amenities. No slippers, no toothbrush or comb, no kettle, no cups. I can somewhat understand not having a toothbrush, comb, or kettle, since it's Europe after all, but no slippers or cups? That's just unacceptable. Check-in involves doing it online first, then picking up your room key from the front desk. And a 10 AM check-out time is just unreasonable. They say it's new in 2025, but it feels more like a renovation.

I stayed at this hotel for several days on a business trip. Overall, the staff were friendly and courteous, but my experience at this hotel was ultimately dreadful.
Of course, the main advantages of this hotel are its location and price. It is very close to the Grand Place and many popular restaurants and attractions. During my stay, the price was also significantly cheaper compared with other nearby hotels when I compared them online. In terms of location, the Grand Place is only about 3 minutes on foot, and Midi Station is reachable within roughly 30 minutes on foot.
However, the overall facilities were extremely old and cold. In fact, the room looked even worse and more worn‑out than the pictures online. What is more, If I had known in advance that this hotel was undergoing renovation, I would never have booked it. I only learned about the renovation after arrival, from a small notice posted near the elevator. Although I could tolerate some noise during most of my stay, one day was absolutely awful.
During my stay, the noise was more or less tolerable on most days, as I was out of the hotel during much of the daytime. However, there was one day when I was feeling unwell and had to stay in the room almost the entire day. On that day, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., I was repeatedly woken up by the constant drilling noise and other construction sounds, and it was impossible to get any rest. Booking another hotel just to escape the noise would have been unreasonable, especially on a short business trip. Given the intensity of the noise, I would strongly recommend that anyone planning to stay here choose a date after the renovation is finished, especially if you expect to spend a significant amount of time in the room.
The sound insulation is also very poor. Even a normal conversation in the neighboring room could be heard clearly in the hallway and in the adjacent room. If you are sensitive to noise, this may seriously affect your stay.
TLDR: Poorly staffed hotel albeit a great location
Room was left half cleaned (towel not changed, even with a sponge left in the toilet) . Hotel location is great accessible through the train station itself at Exit 2. But the room was extremely warm. Front desk did not pick up the call from the room so had to go down multiple times to try to get the room to be colder. In the end, staff only could say they will send someone up but never did. Only people that work the night shift are the front desk staff so they are understandably busy.
Regrettable that this experience did not match the standard of Pullman at other countries as well as the price of the room. Would not really recommend this hotel unless location is a high priority.

KkaikaichenLocated within walking distance of the EU headquarters, it offers the option to book a tour of the Ring Parliament. The hotel itself is unremarkable, but a Spanish receptionist was exceptionally welcoming. The hotel also has a swimming pool, though it's generally quite old; however, the price is acceptable.
PprettyikahHye guys! Malaysian review here 🇲🇾
I stayed at Bedford Hotel Brussels for 4 days 3 nights with my family and honestly we’re super satisfied.
Location very strategic, dekat city centre betul-betul. Cuma masa mula-mula sampai tu agak jauh sikit nak jalan kaki dari bahnhof ke hotel sebab waktu tu kami belum beli public transport ticket lagi. Tapi once dah ada ticket, tram & bus memang dekat dengan hotel and terus boleh go around the area, so memang senang nak go anywhere.
Area around the hotel pun easy to find halal-friendly food, memang banyak actually, so jangan risau, just cari memang ada yang halal certified 👍
Room quite spacious, clean and comfortable for family stay.
Service pun tip top, honestly nothing to complain. I asked for extra blanket pun mereka cepat hantar terus ke bilik hihi 🤍
Overall memang recommended kalau datang Brussels with family ✨

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from the South Station exit. I arrived early, and the front desk staff allowed me to check in 40 minutes ahead of time, which meant I could take a hot shower right away.
來來自香港Good location. We take Flixbus from Amsterdam to Brussels. Just 10 minutes walk to the hotel. Bus to airport is just beside the hotel. Metro also very near. The opposite side is the shopping area and the sightseeing point just walking distance. A lot of restaurants surrounding the hotel. Very convenient and highly recommend. The north train station only 5 minutes walk then can go to Brugge.

KKaradanielleWe stayed at The Standard in Brussels for Valentine’s Day and it was honestly the most perfect romantic getaway. From the moment we walked in, everything felt effortlessly cool yet luxurious — the interiors are stunning, with bold design touches and the kind of atmosphere that makes you instantly relax.
Our room was beautiful: super stylish, incredibly comfortable, and with amazing views over the city. The bed was huge and dreamy (we didn’t want to leave), and every little detail felt thoughtfully done.
The vibe throughout the hotel is chic but not pretentious — lively in the evenings, especially around the bar and restaurant, which made Valentine’s night feel extra special. Cocktails were incredible, the food was delicious, and the whole place had that modern, romantic energy without being cliché.
If you’re planning a couples’ trip to Brussels and want somewhere that feels five-star but still fun and vibrant, The Standard is such a good choice. We made the best memories there and would go back in a heartbeat. ❤️
GGuest UserPlus:
The room is really big. So is the bed. It is so big that makes me think as if it is king size bed to house politicians or prime minister from the 80s, 90s.
There is heating both in the room and in the shower
There is air con set in the room( but I didn't try to see if it works)
This hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Brussels north station
Minus
The room look really old. May be 90s, if not 80s.
There is no carpet on the floor. It is really clean but it is really cold to step on. Bring your own slippers.
The room is dim. And some lights were spoilt.
Even if was told it is a non smoking room, the room has lingering smoking smell. Someone smoked in this room before. I told the front desk, he said he will check but when I return from the city , the smell is there still.
The bathroom has some odd smell. May b smell of roaches, or roaches in the pipes.
The shower curtain smell of mould and damp cloth/ damp laundry.
The heating stop around 2am. May b there is max amount of heating one room could use. Make sure you time your heating usage carefully.
The wall is really thin. You can hear when someone is around the lift, going towards their room or what next door is up to.
I can hear everything happening outside, on the street, from police car n siren rushing up and down, to people wondering on the street, their conversation. I don't feel safe here. I can't relax and sleep.
I don't like the paper cup given together with coffee and the place to brush teeth. May be the hotel suffer too often from being stolen . But that make the hotel rating dropping from 1star hotel to guest house.
The toilet spoilt in the middle of the night and you can hear water flowing all night. Need to maneuver with the old school toilet pull button .
I appreciate the effort they maintain it but personally I don't like it. unless you have really early bus or train to catch, and is on a shoe string budget then it is your choice.

KKate ThomCheck-in is 3pm and we arrived at 3pm but the room was only ready at almost 4pm. The story was that it was cleaned already but ”awaiting inspection”. We were handed 2 bar coupons with a blithe apology in rapid fire French for our 50 min wait.
The vacuuming in the room left much to be desired. When we got into the room on the 1st day, there was a pistachio at the side of the bed. My sister's dust allergy was triggered throughout our 4 day stay.
When we opted for housekeeping on the 3rd of the 4 days we stayed, the same pistachio remained there after the cleaning staff were done. Towels and bed linens were refreshed but the coffee/tea and bathroom amenities were not.
If you choose the Deluxe twin room like we did, please note that the room is 24 metre square and there is only room to open up one medium sized suitcase on the ground. Our other suitcase had to be accessed via the wardrobe which was spacious enough to keep the 2nd suitcase in.
Location wise, it's ideal and a stone's throw from Grand Place - the historic city centre, and many shops and good brasseries. It's a 10 min uphill walk from the hotel to the nearest train station called Brussel Centraal / Bruxelles-Midi which will bring you straight to the Brussels Airport in 17 min on the direct train (1st class carriage €12.10).
The buffet breakfast is plentiful and of good quality (with eggs cooked to order) in a nice space with a courtyard view crewed by pleasant staff fluent in English.
The bar has a relaxing ambience with an outdoor view and affordable drinks. My guide is always how much the increasingly rare digestif liqueur Chartreuse Verte costs. It was €14 per pour. Note : You get a free coupon for a soft drink/coffee/beer/wine if you pass up on room cleaning. If you have a short stay, you should as there wasn't much cleaning done.
AAdam YatesWorth it for the view from the sauna!
Hotel room was OK, but a little noisy. Staff were friendly but cleaners came into our room three times while we were inside.
Excellent location for transport links but be mindful of red-light areas
