Reception were not well trained . Upon check in day one a deposit was collected and on the same day night they made a call to inform we did not pay the hotel charges and later explained it was reception lapsed that they did not collect upon check in even it states pay at property . 2) chambermaid was brazen to wash our socks without permission and after breakfast we were shocked to see our socks as wet. What if we only have a pair of socks for tourist stay ? 3) after check out multiple phone calls was made to our mobile and was told item teaspoon was missing in the room. And if they cannot find it they will raise a charge on our credit card ??? We called back 5 times to ask n follow-up and wasted 30
Mins of our morning to ask if item was found . We even informed it was on the basin area. Wrong procedure as in general all check out reception staff would contact chambermaid to ask if minibar and items were intact before letting the guest check out . The reception lady were having an aloft attitude and said we could go and we even have to ask for car parking coupon and were directed to fill in the form . This make us beg for service instead and please train your staff to check the items before check out and not making irritating calls and that spoil our rest of the day with 5 international calls made to assist them for a teaspoon costs of CNY20!!! Disgusting service . Please train your staff !!!

I was initially a bit worried after seeing numerous negative reviews online, but my actual stay turned out quite pleasant.
**Pros:**
The hotel is centrally located, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. Right across the street is a trendy chain restaurant, a famous cultural heritage spot frequented by celebrities; even at 9 PM, there was still a queue. The room was quite spacious and came with all the basic amenities. Cleanliness was satisfactory. Breakfast was rather plentiful, and the rice noodles were particularly good. However, the coffee could definitely be improved; if it's instant, there's no real reason to go to the breakfast area for it when I could just make it in my room.
**Cons:**
As many online reviewers pointed out, the elevators were quite slow during peak hours. What was surprising was that housekeeping was doing their cleaning during the morning rush hour. Couldn't that be scheduled for a different time? The hairdryer is quite old and could do with an upgrade. Also, the small bottles of toiletries were genuinely difficult to dispense; this is definitely an area for improvement.
**Overall:** While the investment in physical facilities is evident and good, there's still room for improvement in the details of their operational service.

The name of the Hotel is Mei Si International Hotel.and not Muslim Mansion Hotel like how it's sold on the booking sites.
The hotel was obviously built in the 1980's and little has changed since that time. It's an interesting time machine to those times. The bed is excellent and very comfortable.
Receptionists are reserved but helpful, the rooms are of a good size. Everything was quite satisfactory if you can accept that this is a very old and distinguished faded hotel in a prime location in Xining. All in all it was an excellent stay.

This hotel was great. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds comfortable. The A/C worked and you couldn't hear noise from the hallways (well-insulated). The translation capabilities were lacking, but you could make do with your own app. Breakfast and dinner were great. If i came to Xining again, i would stay here.

For the past two years, I've visited Xining almost annually for work, and Qinghai Hotel has always been my one and only choice for accommodation. What makes it stand out are the incredibly welcoming staff, the plentiful and delicious breakfast, the warm and comfortable rooms, and, most importantly, the truly comfortable beds and bedding. This time, taking advantage of a holiday, my friends and I set off from Lanzhou for a spontaneous Gansu-Qinghai Grand Loop road trip. We were on the road early mornings and late nights every day, so by the time we reached Qinghai Hotel for the night, I slept soundly from 11 PM until 8 AM. It was exactly what I needed to truly recover and shake off the fatigue.
The first feeling of going to Delingha is clean, but I don’t usually care about these. The most important thing I care about is the accommodation problem. The good and bad of the accommodation directly affect my mood all day.
This hotel is really cost-effective, the front desk lady is also super intimate, the service is also in place! Each room is equipped with a purifier, and the facilities are quite complete! At night, looking outside the window, the surrounding environment is also very good, although there is no tree shade, but the colorful lights have a special flavor!

The rooms are gorgeous - really nicely decorated with lovely comfortable beds. The staff are also exceptionally helpful. Xiaotian from the Guest Service Center very efficiently located an item we had left and arranged to have it mailed on. The doormen were also very willing to help with bags and help with communicating with taxis. We loved our stay here.

Was told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance.
However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated.
Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea.
Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.

It was midnight when we arrived in Xining. As the starting point of the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop, we had a good rest. The new hotel has a little smell, but it is fine once the fresh air system is turned on. The breakfast is not suitable for southerners, it is simple and not suitable for this star rating.
This is one of the better quality options in Golmud (there aren’t many). The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the service was very poor - there were no functioning USB ports in the room and the hotel was unhelpful - seeming unwilling or unable able to offer a solution. The “room service” is actually takeaway food delivered from outside the hotel but no cutlery/chopsticks was provided with it. When we asked the hotel to provide some, it took nearly 20 minutes to arrive (longer than the food itself), by which time the food was getting cold. We had to ask repeatedly for sufficient drinking water, having only been provided two small bottles for two people. Aside from the poor service, the hotel is in an odd location, surrounding by closed shops and building sites - nowhere near the commercial centre of the city - with nothing within walking distance. With the right management, it could be an excellent hotel, but it’s not quite there at the moment.

GGuest UserThe hotel lobby is spacious and bright, the front desk service is enthusiastic, there are 3 elevators, it is not too crowded, it is convenient to go up and down, the room is clean and tidy, spacious, the breakfast is rich, the dishes are varied, the price is moderate, very satisfied, next to it is Shuijing Lane, there are many snacks, and there is a big shopping mall, it is very convenient, a trustworthy hotel, I will come to stay here again if I have the chance in the future! ! ! ! ! ! !
KKarina_kkThe location is near the train station. If you drive a car, you can park it downstairs, but it’s really hard to find the parking entrance. We did not manage to find it. The hotel service was nice, and they took us to the parking lot later to show us where it is. Otherwise, it’s easy to locate the hotel from outside. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi was not working, and the person who could fix it was not there since it was late. Therefore, we connected to the other room’s WiFi but the connection was not good. The bed was a bit short for a tall person.
GGuest UserFrom the moment you step into the lobby, you will be greeted by an elegant atmosphere. The housekeeper Li Yingzi greets you warmly and provides considerate service. The guest rooms are elegantly decorated, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the quality is evident in every detail. The hotel offers a wide variety of dining options, and the food is delicious. Fitness and leisure facilities are all available. Here, you can enjoy the bustling city and find a quiet place. Every experience is impeccable. It is a five-star hotel and worth coming again!
MM413308****Service: The service was genuinely warm and thoughtful; I truly couldn't fault anything. The front desk even proactively offered us a complimentary room upgrade.
Cleanliness: The room was immaculately clean, tidy, and had no unpleasant odors.
Facilities: I was impressed by the wet/dry separation in the bathroom. The washbasin was conveniently located right by the entrance, and to my pleasant surprise, hand soap was provided – a very practical touch. The shower and toilet being separate was also a fantastic design choice! The only issue was that the room felt quite stuffy and warm. We visited Xining at the end of July, and the room caught a lot of sun in the afternoon. The heat seemed to linger even into the night, and despite opening the windows, it remained warm. On the bright side, our laundry dried incredibly quickly!
Location: The hotel's location is convenient. There's a convenience store immediately to the left of the entrance, perfect for grabbing supplies. Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy: take the shuttle bus to the train station (approx. 35 minutes), which drops you off near a bus stop. From there, take bus 106 for two stops, and you'll spot the hotel sign right across the street.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located, just a few minutes' walk from the high-speed train station. The rooms are quite spacious, although the hotel's orientation has some drawbacks. West-facing rooms get uncomfortably hot from the afternoon sun, while north-facing rooms experience some train noise. The noise, however, is tolerable and definitely preferable to the heat of the west-facing rooms.
Regarding service, the front desk staff were excellent. However, the room attendant (housekeeping staff) had a very poor attitude. Cleanliness was a major issue: I found stains on the bedsheets. When I requested a change, the attendant was visibly annoyed. The overall room cleaning was terrible, with stains on both the sheets and towels. After numerous trips, this is the first time I've ever encountered dirty bed linen and towels in a hotel. Even the tissue box was poorly managed; after the top layer, the tissues underneath were completely disarranged and crumpled, looking like previously used ones that hadn't been properly tidied or replaced. Some even seemed partially used and just pushed back into the box, leaving me unsure if any used tissues had actually been removed.
HHenrionDourcyThis is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices.
First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town.
Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels.
Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing.
I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices.
Thank you!
GGuest UserI chose Park Plaza as it was convenient to both the train station and airport.
The price was also excellent value for money.
My train from Lhasa arrived at 6.30am and I caught a taxi the short distance to Park Plaza without issue.
I checked in around 7am and was shown my room.
It was beautiful, very spacious with a large window,
and it also had a freestanding bath.
Unfortunately I could smell cigarette smoke, which is not uncommon in Chinese hotels.
I asked for a different room and was immediately shown one .
This room was identical but the bed covers were a children's design and there were some toys and teepee in one corner . I simply folded the bright yellow covers down and had a lovely tasteful decor again.
The bed was extremely comfy and the room was very quiet.
The buffet was beyond excellent and the head chef and his small team were very friendly and attentive.
Clearly they were very proud of their fabulous buffet and presentation....as they should be. It was my best in China..
I found a lovely walking trail behind the hotel beside the river, 5 mins away.
The area in general was nice to wander around, very different from my stay in the centre of city when on my way to Tibet.
I will most definitely choose Park Plaza when I return to Xining.
