This hotel was truly the biggest surprise of my trip! Around tourist attractions, prices are usually inflated, and I was mentally prepared to pay a high price for a 'just okay' hotel. But I stumbled upon a real gem here – the value for money is absolutely incredible! If I hadn't experienced it myself, I wouldn't believe such great conditions could come at such a low price. First, let's talk about the location. Its location is a huge advantage! It's unbelievably close to the ancient town, just a few minutes' walk away. For those who want to stroll, eat, and enjoy the night views, this location saves you taxi fares and frees you from public transport schedules. You don't have to worry about getting back late at night. This 'close proximity' feeling of happiness is so important when traveling. Then there's the room – I really have to rave about it! I thought at this price point, the room would be cramped and basic, but when I walked in, my eyes lit up. The layout is incredibly well-designed, not at all stifling. The cleanliness is exceptional; it's so neat and tidy that it satisfies even my OCD. The decor is very stylish and pleasing to the eye, and the bedding quality is super good – so soft and comfortable. I slept like a baby and felt completely refreshed. I initially chose it for the value, but I was completely won over by the room's quality. The amenities are truly a steal. As for the service, it was absolutely flawless. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient, unlike the cold service you sometimes get at other hotels. Check-in was not only quick but they also thoughtfully provided many sightseeing tips. Service was top-notch throughout. To find a hotel with such a great location, fantastic rooms, and excellent service, all at a very affordable price, especially around a scenic area, is truly rare. It's like getting a luxury experience without breaking the bank. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic. I genuinely recommend it to all travelers – it will definitely be your treasured accommodation for your trip, a truly non-disappointing choice!

Overall, the hotel experience was fantastic! 🎉 The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was super comfortable, especially the latex pillow which made for a really sound sleep. The electric curtains were a nice touch for convenience. The front desk also thoughtfully provided breakfast, which had a great variety and delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the local yogurt and dried fruits, they were very unique. Compared to guesthouses, chain hotels definitely have a much higher standard when it comes to cleanliness and facilities.

Downstairs, there are many fantastic eateries, all frequented by Uyghur friends. There's also a small market right next to the hotel. The lamb skewers at the first stall were absolutely delicious – I ate them for five days straight, no joke! Jin Quan Shopping Mall and Jin Bi Shan Shopping Mall are just a one-minute walk away, and you can even walk to the Grand Bazaar.

We stayed at Hilton Hampton Yining for one night. The hotel is clean and new, we really like the smart technology used in the rooms - like the automatic blinds system and the ability to open a window for fresh air if you feel like it. Otherwise the aircon is perfect and allows you to adjust the temperatures according to your liking. This is a rare find when some hotels set the temperature centrally. We had to travel to Nalati the next day, but as we visited during off peak season the tour buses didn’t operate. 小妮 Julie and the team from the front desk helped us arrange a private ride , this really helped us with our travels! Thank you. We liked the breakfast offering a variety of meal options, the drinks in the atrium are also great. We enjoyed the stay.

The hotel facilities are complete. Xiaoman and Xiaona at the front desk are warm, attentive, and meticulous in their work. The rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast is a good mix of Chinese and Western options and is very generous. There is also free parking. The hotel's location is excellent, situated in the city center opposite a shopping district. Very satisfied! They gave us two Pull Tab coffee vouchers, which were quite good.

I stayed in Kashgar for quite a while this time, and booked two hotels consecutively. Comparing them, I highly recommend Atour. Since it's a new hotel, the facilities are very complete, and the hygiene is excellent. Most importantly, the service is top-notch. When I checked in, they had me add the butler's WeChat, which was great for getting my needs met very promptly. A few things really stood out: the congee at 9:30 PM, which helped alleviate our altitude sickness symptoms after returning from Taxkorgan. The congee was perfectly cooked, and the Cantonese dishes at the restaurant were also good. The breakfast was incredibly abundant, much better than the breakfast at the other hotel we booked. I forgot my thermos when I left and only realized it after returning to Nanjing. After contacting the butler, they immediately found it and mailed it to me, for which I'm very grateful! The water pressure in the shower was a bit low, which could be improved.

We were very happy with our room; it was a spacious, square-shaped king room with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. We arrived in Urumqi late at night. We originally booked a Lavande Hotel, but when we got there, the front desk gave us an end room, then changed it to a corner room. My heart was pounding standing outside the room, so we canceled our reservation and booked at Lilai instead. The front desk staff was very professional and had a great service attitude. We couldn't find the address, and they patiently guided us over the phone. The room had a welcome handwritten card and a hand-drawn notebook. The hygiene details were excellent, and the breakfast selection was quite rich, though there were a lot of people eating breakfast.

HHelenaThe hotel is very good and the front desk staffs were very professional & helpful. The RESTAURANT needs to retraining their employees regarding customer services. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES that I ever experienced. On 9/14 evening around 8:45 pm (this was our second night eating in this restaurant. The first night was very pleasant), one of the hotel waitress was extremely rude. She had an attitude from the moment that we sat down on our table. We requested an additional menus; however, she slapped down the additional menu on the table instead of handed it to us. We took a little longer because we had a hard time saying it in Chinese. She started to get irritated with us. We ate 2 out of 6 dishes from our order. We waited more than an hours for our 3 abalone skewers, 2 lamb steaks skewers, 1 garlic naan & the mushroom wrap. We saw one of the waiter carried the 5 skewers to the other tables. We asked another waitress that we didn’t have our 3 abalone skewers, 2 lamb steaks skewers, 1 garlic naan & mushroom wrap. A different waitress said we have to wait for another 20 minutes to get our food. It was almost 9:30 pm. We requested to cancel the abalone, lamb, naan & mushroom wrap. When we went up to the cashier to pay & it happened to be same rude waitress. She charged all the dishes & my brother in law told her that we ate 2 out of the 6 dishes from our orders . The rude waitress expressed like we were lying to her & started to raise her voice. After the long disputes with the rude waitress, another waitress walked up being our witness that we actually only ate 2 dishes. We finally only paid for 2 dishes that we actually ate. After my brother in law paid for the meal, I expressed to the rude waitress that she has a bad attitude in English as I was having hard time translated in Mandarin. My sister repeated the exact words to the rude waitress; however, the rude waitress said in Chinese “you are insane”. My brother heard and pulled my sister away as he didn’t want more disputes. I walked back into the restaurant and I asked for her name; she asked me why do I ask for her name. I told her that I want to file a complaint of her. She asked why am I complaining about her. I told her that she had an attitude toward us from the beginning. I demanded to get her name. I said that she’s the first person that I had ever complained. She wrote her Chinese name on a piece of paper with the rude attitude and sarcastically said “thank you”. Of course, I responded “you are welcome”. After leaving the restaurant, I went to speak with the night manager & told her from the beginning to the end of what happened. The night manager walked with us to the restaurant. She spoke with the rude waitress. She asked her to tell her side of the story & request an apology. Of course she denied of her doing & of course she denied that she said to my sister in Chinese “you are insane “. She refused to apologize. Even the night manager said out loud that she could feel her rude attitude even speaking to the her. The restaurant manager, he apologized on her behalf. Per the restaurant manager, “It seems like a misunderstanding. He tried to minimize the wrong doing of the staff”. Such a disappointment of how the restaurant manager handling this matter. Instead of addressing the issue, he is minimizing the bad customer services & the bad behavior of his staff. IT WAS NOT A “MISUNDERSTANDING “. It was an extremely BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES. It was a training issue & it was a management issue. Per the night manager, she will have a meeting and address the issue. I seriously hope that the night manager will follow through this matter. I never experienced such an unpleasant moment in China & even in the U.S. Hopefully, the night manager will handle this matter effectively.

2206295****I didn't have high hopes for this non-chain hotel, but it actually exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, the view was great, and the facilities were excellent, including a smart toilet and smart system. The wet and dry areas were separate, though the layout could be a bit more practical. The curtains were semi-automatic. The heating was quite strong, so much so that I had to open a window. There's also a self-service laundry room, perfect for those staying a bit longer for skiing or business trips. The only minor points were the limited breakfast variety and average taste, but I wouldn't call those downsides. Even though I only stayed one night, it left a lasting impression because it was the best accommodation of my entire trip to Altay 😂. Later, when I went skiing in Hemu, even a Holiday Inn costing over 4,000 yuan a night couldn't compare to this place. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience now. I hope the hotel continues its excellent work and gets even better; it will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Altay.

SStAnastasiaMy friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage. Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns). For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials. Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!

22morrowsworldThis 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast. On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests. I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days. Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor). There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.
