Fantastic location right in the city center, just behind the Old Market. It's a quick 5-minute walk to the castle and the Robinson statue. There's a bus stop right downstairs, making it super easy to get to the train station. The room was clean and tidy, and the mattress was comfortable, not too soft or too firm. They even had a Nespresso machine with coffee pods! My only minor complaints are that the facilities are a bit dated and the room is on the smaller side. The breakfast was a good English continental spread with a nice variety, especially plenty of fresh fruit, and you could order freshly made eggs or omelets. Service was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were quick. They even offer free apples in the lobby, though the air freshener scent in the lobby felt a bit cheap. Overall, great value for money, much cheaper than London with bigger rooms, better facilities, and a superior breakfast.

The whole stay was great, I needed somewhere to stay while work was being carried out on my house. The rooms are spacious and have bathtubs, there was a big desk for me to work at and the internet connection was perfect, I had multiple video conferences and it never dropped once. Housekeeping were kind enough to check if I needed anything everyday, and reception staff were super friendly. Right next to a massive national trust property had some beautiful autumn walks However there is absolutely no phone signal (Vodafone)obviously nothing to do with the hotel it’s just extra info about the area!

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and once again, I really enjoyed my experience. It’s not often that you find somewhere that offers such good value for money while also being clean, comfortable and convenient, but this hotel definitely ticks those boxes. The price was one of the biggest positives for me. I believe I paid around £40 for the night, which I thought was extremely affordable considering the quality and facilities provided. For anyone looking for somewhere reasonably priced without having to compromise too much on comfort or cleanliness, I would definitely recommend considering this place. What I particularly like about the hotel is that it has more of an apartment-style feel, which makes the stay much more convenient than a standard hotel room. Having access to facilities where you can heat up food is a great bonus, especially if you arrive late or have bought something to eat and don’t want to go back out. It gives you that extra bit of flexibility and makes the room feel more practical and homely. The room and the hotel were also very spotless and well maintained, which is extremely important to me when staying somewhere. Everything felt clean and looked after, and overall I had a very comfortable stay. The staff were another highlight. We actually decided at the last minute that we wanted to extend our stay, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They were able to let us extend our time, with the option to increase the stay by the hour, which was incredibly convenient. It’s these little things that make a big difference, especially when plans change unexpectedly. The staff were friendly, helpful and understanding throughout. The location is also not bad at all. You can walk into town, which is really useful if you want to explore the area without relying on transport. There is also easy access to trams, making it convenient to get around if you don’t want to walk everywhere. Another thing I liked about the location is the amount of takeaways and local shops nearby. There are plenty of places within walking distance, including options that are convenient if you arrive late at night and want to grab something to eat without travelling far. Having local shops and food options nearby makes the hotel even more convenient Overall, I was really pleased with my second stay here. For around £40 a night, I feel it offers excellent value for money, especially with the cleanliness, apartment-style facilities, helpful staff, convenient location and nearby food options. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, clean and practical place to stay.

As i was attending a funeral of a dear family member, I was very pleased with the location and more importantly the cleanlines and stress free stay at the orchard hotel. My room was very spacious and clean. The staff were wonderful and helpful in every aspect. The food in the restaurant was above par and well deserved. a trip to Nottingham would definatly warrant a further stay at this hotel. 5 star for definate and would certainly stay again. It’s a lovely place to stay. The receptionist is very professional and kind. The food is excellent and great. All the staff are helpful and caring. House keepers are very respectful and work with passion.

Lovely hotel - couldn’t get a better location sadly let down by the size of the room (bathroom was ok) but bedroom was very tight. By far the worst problem was a lack of working air conditioning. It was a hot night and although an air con unit was in the room we couldn’t get it to work no matter what we tried. Due to the heat, sleep was a scarce commodity during our stay. If we’d have booked for longer than a night I would have not have slept in that room again if there was working no air con.

I had a lovely one-night stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful, making the check-in process quick and smooth. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and the room was quiet, which made for a great night’s sleep. The hotel itself was well maintained and had a pleasant atmosphere. I also appreciated the convenient location, which made it easy to get around. Although my stay was only for one night, it was a very positive experience. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay

A lovely place. We we're a bit iffy on sraying due to the rating of the hotel but after reading the reviews most were about the rooms being dated. Since we were only planning to be there for a night, who cares? There was an issue with the booking from Trip.com's side which the duty manager Declan was able to resolve in a timely mannor while also making the wait very pleasant with some nice chat. The staff were lovely, including the two young ladys on the bar/food service as well as Declan. Unfortunately didnt get the girls names. The building is stunning and surrounded by lovely woods, perfect for a walk. Rooms are a bit dated, sure, but why are you looking to spend all your time in your room? More than enough to have a comfy sleep in. Also as a side note on that, id imagine It's a listed building and so hard an expensive to update. Overall a lovely night and a pleasant morning having breakfast then a walk. Absolutely would recommend.
