The staff were friendly and our room was clean. The breakfast was satisfying, and after we finished eating, they even told us we could take our drinks (like coffee) with us when we left the table. I'd definitely stay here again!
I stayed here while sightseeing along the Shimanto River.
The amenities here included lotion, milky lotion, and even makeup remover, which was extremely convenient for female guests. (*^ω^)
They also had game consoles available for rent, so I played the Famicom, my childhood obsession, for the first time in decades!
(There were several other game consoles to choose from besides the Famicom.)
There was a souvenir shop and restaurant right next door, so I had no trouble finding a place to eat or buy souvenirs. ☆
The shower and toilet were separate, and the sofas were spacious.
I had a comfortable stay.
I was also given some snacks along with my welcome drink.
It felt like a great deal.
Clean and nice rooms. Friendly staff. Great location close to Kochi train station a 13 min walk to the AEON mall. Awesome if u stay on a Sunday they have a great Sunday Market only 13mins walk also. Fresh local produce, nice food and local crafts being sold. Definitely worth a visit if u are there Sunday.
Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy.
The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated.
We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win.
The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort.
What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle.
Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it.
We stopped at the southern town of Kochi during our Shikoku cycling challenging around the island. It was a long day after 130km from Shishiku but finally arrived at the Dormy Inn at around 3:30pm.
Location wise it’s excellent as it is at the heart of the shopping district with many shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is bike friendly allowing us to take the bike into our room. Amenities is excellent and room is clean although a tad smaller than expected. In general I am happy with our decision staying at the Dormy Inn of Kochi.
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the station, located in a side alley. A 20-minute walk will take you to Kochi Castle, passing through charming streets and markets. Hiroto Market is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Hotel facilities and room service are satisfactory. Please remember that the booking agent only collects a deposit; you will need to pay 5,000 yen in cash upon arrival at the hotel. This deposit will be refunded by the booking agent after your trip.
The hotel is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk from Nakamura Station. However, its proximity to souvenir shops, restaurants, and convenience stores makes it quite convenient. Just be aware that the nearby restaurant closes at 9 PM.
Breakfast is a complimentary buffet for guests. I can only say the Oden was delicious, but everything else was rather subpar.
It was fully booked due to Golden Week, so I couldn't switch to a non-smoking room. However, the window could be opened for fresh air and ventilation, and there was also a humidifier in the room, so I was still reasonably satisfied.
Located right next to Harimaya Bridge, it's easy to find and get around Kochi. The room was standard. Amenities were minimal, so you just grab what you need from the lobby. It was very clean and nice. Breakfast was included, but the venue is compact, so you might have to wait if it's crowded. I was happy to be able to eat seared bonito in the morning. I was very satisfied.
I had a very pleasant stay in every aspect, from the room and facilities to the front desk service. The location was also great, with Hirome Market and Kochi Castle within walking distance.
I stay here pretty much every time when coming for work in Kochi. Not many good hotels in Kochi and given its great location and good breakfast, hard to beat. Prices are also reasonable.

MmelobambiDefinitely NOT A 5 star hotel quality and service. When we arrived, we were not greeted at the door, we had quite a few luggages but none of the staff even insisted on helping. The rooms felt small, nothing interesting with the interior (to be honest, it felt just like a better version of a business hotel), no bathtub in the rooms just a plastic shower room. Another thing I noticed is due to having only two elevators, I often encountered to full elevators especially during busy hours when people go to the public bath on the 5th floor. We also had to pay 1000 yen per night extra for parking which I find it absurd. The staff were not very attentive and all looked kinda like students. Overall, this hotel should not be ranked 5 stars. I will not go back.
GGuest Userthe hotel room is nice , best shower even in Japan. but the sink is too low, good size for the child , too low for an adult the hotel has swimming pool, the pool is belong to the gym , normally require the membership ,but you just need to show the counter that you are staying in the hotel they will let you in. if you dont have the swimming suit, they have the swimming suit to borrow which was nice . they don't really speak English, that was a little tough to communicate. they have laundry machine at 3rd floor to use. the breakfast was acceptable , if you are foreigner, like western food , they have croissant, chocolate bread, salad, bacon. it was a good stay.
11350175****The hotel has a hot spring, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The view from the window is also quite nice. It's a decent hotel, nothing special. The hotel receptionist was very polite upon check-in, and I would probably stay here again next time!
CChong Ee JayWithin 5 minutes walk from Kochi Train Station to the hotel. Not much eateries in the immediate 5 minutes radius but if you take a 10 minutes walk down or 5 minutes tram ride, you can find an entire street of local shopping and eateries. Do visit the Hirome Market and Kochi Castle which is nearby too!
Hotel receptionist do not speak much English but they are super hospitable and easy to communicate via English with them using an amazing translation device they have! Had to do luggage delivery service and they were super helpful!
Would definitely stay in this hotel the next time we visit Kochi!
GGuest UserCannot ask for more from this hotel. Everything is perfect. We have the best accomodation in here while in Shikoku, where we have stayed in 9 hotels. It was simply the best.
The environment is recluse, though it is highly accessible with cars. The star-gazing experience in onsen is once in a lifetime. It was magical to bath under the starry night. The dining experience is exceptional, though it is a little pricey, compare to the dinner we have throught Shikoku. Still, I highly recommend to try the Japanese-style course The Manna provided.
