"I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from the train station, which made traveling around really easy. One of the best parts was the stunning view of Mount Fuji — you can see it clearly right from the hotel, especially on a clear day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they could communicate well in English, which made everything smooth and comfortable. Overall, it’s a perfect choice if you’re looking for a convenient place with an amazing Fuji view."

"Recommend by my friend on this hotel and book the room for triple. Made the right choice as there is more space and able to watch Mt Fuji right in my room. It is a 5mins walk from Fuji-Q station. Hotel does provide free shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko station but need advanced booking. There are free amenities and there is public onsen for a relaxing evening after one whole day of sightseeing. We booked the breakfast and dinner buffets. Dinner was good because of the beef, however the menu doesn’t change hence, we got tired of eating the same food but given no choice as there are not much eateries around. Wish the menu can change abit. Overall, we are lucky to get a clear view of mt Fuji on 1st day.. then was hit by typhoon ended next 3 days can’t see much. Went to the amusement park to play the rides which was fun if you are daring. Staff are very friendly. Will highly recommend this hotel."

"Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2  weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji."

"Honestly cleanliness wise, -1 for it being just a little dusty floor (but you have slippers) and you may see the wood furnitures has some scratches due to age but otherwise you can expect a clean space 😁 location is about 10 min walk to bus station, Lawson and theme park. Has shuttle bus service to Fujikyu Highland Bus station & vice versa, so you don't need to go through other transportation hassle with your luggage. Service is impeccable with all friendly smiles and attention whenever they see you at their main service centre in the property. Every villa has rooftop full Mt Fuji view but if you want window Fuji view from inside your villa that will see your luck as you may be blocked by other villas. Nevertheless would recommend staying here for any family or group of friends. Decent facility to stay in and not go anywhere in Kawaguchiko too. Picture of rooftop view and around villa walkway."

The rooms from which you cannot see Mt. Fuji are the Garden Twin and King Bedroom. In addition, there is a great spot in the common area on the premises where you can see Mt. Fuji without any obstructions.

"Just stayed for one night to see Mt. Fuji and Iyashi no Sati. Wish we stayed for more! The location is great, very close to Kawaguchiko Station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean, has tatami, and also has futons (besides the beds). Our room is directly facing towards Mt. Fuji, but the neighbouring building blocked it so only the tip is visible. We went in winter so there weren't many flowers in the garden. But they have a specific spot within the resort to see Mt. Fuji clearly. There are also plenty of local restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Will definitely come here again!"

When you stay at Lakepia Angel Yamanaka Lake in Yamanakako, you'll be on a lake, within a 10-minute drive of Lake Yamanaka and Lake Yamanaka Community Plaza Kirara. At Lakepia Angel Yamanaka Lake , enjoy a satisfying meal at the restaurant. Japanese breakfasts are served on weekends from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM for a fee. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite. Stay in one of 10 guestrooms featuring LCD televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and digital programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms feature bathtubs or showers, hair dryers, and toothbrushes and toothpaste. Conveniences include desks, and housekeeping is provided daily.

"The location is first-rate, with Fuji and Yamanakako Mountain outside the window. The environment, service, and accommodation are all fine. The only problem is that the room only has a wash basin and mirror (only cold water, and the temperature outside was about 14 degrees on the day of the stay). There is no toilet or bathroom. Everything is shared. The toilet is shared by the floor (basement and 2nd floor), and the bathroom is shared in the underground hot spring area. There are only 2 showers for men. The main problem is that there is no reminder during the ordering process that the toilet and bathroom are shared. If it was written, I think we would not order this store. But the accommodation, environment, landscape, and service are all fine. The following picture is a screenshot of the public facilities I checked again to see if there is a note, the store, breakfast, and the exterior of Mount Fuji and the lake"

The hotel is located in Yamanakako Village, distance from Fujikyu Kogen Park is approximately 17 km, Lake Kawaguchi is approximately 20 km, and Mt. Fuji is approximately 32 km. Seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free parking for private vehicles. Liquor store offers private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi access rooms. Provided by Shujia Hotel. I own an electric heating water bottle that is evenly distributed among the rooms. Owned guest rooms equipped with flat panel electronics and free bathing supplies. Self-help breakfast every morning.

"The advantage was that the room was spacious, with plenty of room! The entire room and bathroom were clean and tidy! The downside was that the young Japanese staff member at the breakfast restaurant was extremely rude. He stood there glaring at us, practically forcing us to leave the restaurant by 9 AM! Honestly, I understand needing to leave on time, but this staff member didn't understand that guests don't constantly check their watches while eating breakfast! Our table was completely cleared except for a coffee paper cup, and we hadn't even gotten up to leave yet when that staff member rudely announced that they were closing, then glared at us fiercely! Absolutely terrible attitude! On another note, most of the hotel staff are Indian foreign employees, so there were no issues with English communication!"

"Fuji Lake Hotel is situated right on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko. On one side, you're treated to the magnificent silhouette of Mount Fuji, and on the other, breathtaking lake views. In the early morning, the lake is often shrouded in a light mist, with the mountain's outline subtly emerging. Evenings bring stunning sunsets, casting a golden glow over the water, creating a tranquility that truly takes your breath away. The hotel's courtyard is a picturesque scene with vibrant maple leaves contrasting beautifully with the evergreen pines. What truly made an impression, however, was every single staff member. From the polite greetings of the doorman, who also ensured our luggage was in our room before we arrived, to the front desk staff who patiently and thoroughly explained the hotel's operating hours (a special thank you to Mr. Oishi for his enthusiastic introduction to the hotel facilities). When we returned to the hotel on a rainy day, we were offered towels, and there was hot tea available in the lobby. The restaurant staff were very professional. During our four-night stay, our room was consistently spotless every time we returned (many thanks to the housekeeping team). Upon check-out, staff saw us off at the door, waving goodbye. Every detail was handled with such care, making us feel genuinely welcome. Fuji Lake Hotel didn't just leave us with memories of Mount Fuji's reflection; it left us with the gentlest encounters of our journey."

I stayed at Fujisan Station Hotel and found it quite convenient overall. The location is excellent, just across from Mt. Fuji Station, making it very easy to get around. Check-in was done with the staff and went smoothly. Free parking is available, which is a plus. There is no onsen and no complimentary bottled water, but there is a free ice machine in the dining area, along with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The water faucet is an old-style rotary type. Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, but food runs out quickly due to the large number of guests. The buffet includes scrambled eggs, grilled mackerel, rice, miso soup, salad, fresh milk, and granola. The small bread rolls and mini croissants were not very good. The twin room was clean, but the beds were quite firm and not very comfortable.

It was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.

Pros: 1. The room was huge! 2. You get a full view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony window. 3. The staff were super friendly, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff members. 4. The hot springs on the fifth floor have both indoor and outdoor options. You can enjoy the views of Mount Fuji while you soak. 5. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were surprisingly delicious, and there was a good variety too. 6. They offer a shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. Just make sure to look for the shuttle with three hotel names printed on it. You'll need to remember the hotel's English name to identify it correctly, otherwise, you might end up waiting a long time at the station. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Mount Fuji!

I booked this hotel because the promotion made it seem luxurious, but the surroundings feel odd, almost like all the trees have been removed by purpose, littered with dry leaves and fallen branches. It feels dirty and poorly cared for. I was expecting a neatly landscaped area with grass and trees, but instead, the outside feels like a barren, lifeless space. That said, the inside of the room looks very good. The accommodation consists of two separate large caravan‑style rooms. They are not very spacious, but they are sufficient for a family of four. One of the rooms has slightly less living space because it includes a larger bathroom, with a full‑size bathtub. This is something you rarely find in Tokyo, where most bathtubs are quite small, so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we struggled with the bathtub controls as it was written in Japanese, we couldn't use it after all. Also, the heating system are all labeled in Japanese, and there were no clear instructions in English. As a result, we didn’t figure out how to use the heating until the second night. We stayed for two nights in total. There is an outdoor spa area, which is interesting and enjoyable. We used it and found it quite good, although it is small. It works best for two people, three is a tight squeeze, and four would be uncomfortable. The sauna is decent and operates daily. Breakfast is served at set times rather than as a buffet, likely because the hotel only has 14 rooms. Guests must choose a time slot, such as 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. We chose 8:30. Breakfast is a set menu rather than self‑service. Each morning includes a starter, a main dish, and some small item to finish, well enough for us. The first day was Japanese‑style, with a rice‑based dish. The second day was Western‑style, with a sandwich as the main course and fried eggs with pork belly. The food tasted good, but we would have appreciated more water. We did not ask for refills, as staff left the area after serving. Finding the hotel is a bit difficult. The entrance sign is blocked by a car park sign, making it very easy to miss. You need to drive very slowly, or you will pass it without realising it. We spent several minutes searching before realising this was the place. Be prepared to see a car park with two signs, where one directly blocks the hotel’s entrance sign.

An Unexpected Gem – One of the Best Resorts We’ve Ever Stayed At We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out. But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan. The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much. Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup. Their kindness truly showed how much they care about their guests. From the driver to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling. They were genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcomed. Our room was a huge surprise: a massive apartment-style space with four beds even though there were only two of us, plus two bathrooms. Everything was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The resort is located in a large forest, so the moment you step inside, you can smell the gentle scent of pine wood everywhere. The atmosphere feels grounding and refreshing—as if the Earth itself is recharging you. One of the best parts is that they have dedicated areas for pets. I got to play with some of the guests’ pets, and it was honestly such a sweet experience. Breakfast was delicious every morning, in a very authentic Japanese style. I went down for breakfast every day, and the dining area has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji—I even recorded some stunning videos there. I never imagined I would be able to book a resort this amazing. It seems like it has been operating for many years, with a rustic and warm charm that I absolutely fell in love with. Down at the reception area, they also sell all kinds of Mount Fuji souvenirs. When you’re out sightseeing in the Fuji area, you tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and snacks, which makes your bags very heavy—but the resort sells everything right there. I compared the prices, and they were actually much cheaper than the tourist spots, so we bought all our gifts there. Super convenient! I genuinely want to come back to this resort for future trips. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I absolutely adore it. Highly, highly recommended.

Pros: 1. The Mt. Fuji view was perfect. The cleanliness and condition of the facilities were absolutely fine, even exceeding expectations. It's much better than some older, traditional hotels with Mt. Fuji views, offering excellent value for money at this price point. 2. The hotel service was also great. From the front desk to the restaurant staff and the housekeepers, everyone offered service with a smile. Perhaps because it was the off-season, another couple checking in at the same time received a room upgrade. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station. 3. The restaurant staff were very professional. While the sukiyaki for dinner wasn't a huge surprise, it was decent and had no flaws. 4. It's only a few hundred meters from Oishi Park, which is easily walkable. Compared to other attractions, it's a bit more niche, but the scenery is beautiful and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Cons: 1. It's quite a distance from Kawaguchiko Station, making it a bit far from other attractions. 2. You can't see Mt. Fuji at night due to the lack of light (which isn't the hotel's fault). 3. All rooms are non-smoking, and the small open space in front of the hotel with Mt. Fuji views is also a non-smoking area. There's only a small designated smoking area at the back entrance of the hotel. As a smoker, it's a bit inconvenient, but completely understandable and acceptable. 4. Also, there are no convenience stores or supermarkets within walking distance of the hotel. The Oishi Store listed on Apple Maps is actually closed. 5. To reach the hotel, you have to walk up a relatively long slope. It can be a bit tiring if you're on foot, but once you're down the slope, you're right by Lake Kawaguchiko, and there are very few people. Overall, the hotel is excellent. If you're staying with a partner, you can take a walk along Lake Kawaguchiko below the hotel. With Mt. Fuji right in front of you, the atmosphere is romantic and there are few people around. Highly recommended.

This was the kind of place I really was looking forward to staying at! Complete traditional Japanese style stuff for a real cultural immersion feel. Futon and yukata were provided, a shared bath shower room with an onsen were surprising at first but incredibly refreshing and pleasant once I started using it. I really enjoyed the fact that the shower water temperature can be easily controlled. The room had a very beautiful view of Mount Fuji and I did well with natural illumination for most of the day. The futon is VERY comfortable and the nights were very silent as well, I slept like a baby. There are curtains to block out the light if you want to. There is also a TV with local TV channels that I quite enjoyed to watch for a while (although I don't speak Japanese! But it was fun to watch a sumo fight and that famous guy who eats at restaurants). Location is perfect: walking distance to a Family Mart and 7 Eleven, or Denny's, GUSTO café, Pizzaria and other restaurants around the Yamanaka Lake if you don't mind walking 10-20 min. The host helped me move my heavy luggage upstairs and tried his best to communicate in English. The only suggestion I would have is for the air conditioner to have different temperature options. The room's temperature was MUCH better than outside (I stayed in the hotel during summer) but allowing guests to set the temperature by themselves can definitely add to the experience :)
