The breakfast was delightful, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. I also appreciated the excellent service provided by the staff; they were friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. Overall, a fantastic experience!

It is best to order one berth and two meals, because there is no restaurant to eat nearby, the evening/breakfast point in the hall is good. There are wind and indoor public soup in the hall, and the facilities are standard and ordinary.

The ambience was fabulous and Kaiseki meals astonishing. The room big and comfortable. The price was well deserved. Kagetsu is top notch with their attention to details for their service, food, Onsen baths and more. Don’t hesitate to go there. It’s a dreamlike stay. 🎎

The location is easy for travellers with cars. Otherwise shuttle bus to town is not available all the time. Breakfast is good, dinner not so much. Wet and foggy during our star so couldn’t see much views. Staff don’t speak much English which makes the stay not pleasant. Hotel facility is great, and clean, nice resort when you have car and speak Japanese.

A very lovely hotel that is a heaven for kids. They have all the necessities you might need for babies to preschooler. Great staff, all friendly and helpful and really great amenities. Located in a peaceful lovely town with very kind and friendly locals. Only gripe is that the soundproofing of the rooms are non existent! We could hear the entire conversation of the guest next door. 90% local Japanese guests but surprisingly they are not the usual polite and considerate guests. They allow their kids to run and scream down the hallways outside the rooms as early as 6am and late as 11pm, the adults themselves are talking loudly too. So, if you're a light sleeper who goes to bed early, this hotel is not for you.

The hotel staff provided excellent service, even offering a hand-drawn map for reference. The location is incredibly convenient; whether you're coming from Gotemba Premium Outlets or taking a bus to Tokyo, you can board right at the hotel entrance. We were lucky enough to have a view of Mount Fuji from our room, which my friends absolutely loved for taking photos. The front desk staff spoke good English, so communication was seamless. The 150 JPY per person hot spring bath was an amazing value! On a weekday evening, it wasn't crowded at all, and it even had an outdoor bath. I imagine it would be absolutely beautiful if it were snowing.

Both the rooms and common areas were spotless. The room had a heater, and the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. We communicated via WeChat beforehand, and they even assisted with receiving my luggage from Tokyo airport and placing it in my room! The guesthouse is only a few hundred meters' walk from Yamanakako bus station, and about a 15-minute walk from the express bus stops for Mishima and Tokyo, which was extremely convenient. The owner also has electric-assist bicycles for rent. You can ride them around the lake multiple times without getting tired! But the absolute best part was seeing Mount Fuji's first snowcap of the year during my two-day stay here – it was absolutely breathtaking!

The hotel service was excellent. They had a private car pick us up from the station and also dropped us off when we checked out. After checking in, both dinner and breakfast were meticulously arranged, and the onsen was very comfortable. My only minor regret is that check-out is quite early at 10 AM, which doesn't leave enough time for another dip in the onsen after breakfast. On the bright side, our room on the 3rd floor offered a view of Mount Fuji.

Stay here for a night in a room with futon beds. Location is about 5-10min with car from the train station. The hotel has a shuttle pick up services which run regularly and can be arranged with phone call. Excellent services and the staffs were really helpful. The onsite amenities were great. These include multiple vending machines, laundry (coin), gift store, restaurants, meeting rooms, message chair , kids toys, lounge and observatory deck to view mt Fuji. The hotel had plenty of spaces for work and relax. The room is decent in size and very clean. The breakfast and dinner have a variety of choices and tasted good. This is one of the very few hotels that my parent would also feel comfortable and like. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will book in again if I cone back to mt Fuji.

Ssiufungjeh🌸 Hotel Mifujien – A Front Row Seat to Mt. Fuji’s Majesty If you’re looking for unparalleled views of Mt. Fuji, look no further than Hotel Mifujien. Nestled right beside Lake Kawaguchiko, this hotel offers one of the most photogenic and soul-soothing panoramas of Japan’s most iconic peak. 🗻 The View: Absolutely Breathtaking The highlight of our stay was the view — and it’s no exaggeration. Whether it’s early morning when the summit catches the first rays of sunlight, or during a serene sunset, the unobstructed view of Mount Fuji reflected in Lake Kawaguchiko is simply unforgettable. I woke up early just to capture a time-lapse of the sunrise, and it was worth every second of lost sleep. We also filmed a sunset time-lapse, and again, Fuji didn’t disappoint. ⸻ 🚶♂️ Getting There: Worth the Scenic Walk Although the hotel offers a shuttle bus pickup service, we chose to walk from Kawaguchiko Station — and it was a delightful decision. The 20–30 minute stroll is scenic and peaceful. We even stopped by a local supermarket for some ice cream while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji in the background. It was an experience that made us feel like locals soaking in a perfect day. ⸻ 🛏 Tatami Rooms: Authentic and Comfortable The tatami-style room was clean, spacious, and gave us a deeply authentic Japanese lodging experience. Sliding doors, futon beds, and traditional touches made our stay both relaxing and culturally immersive. ⸻ ♨️ Hot Springs: Cozy, Not Crowded The hotel features both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs). While not particularly large, they are a nice bonus to unwind after a day of exploring. Since they only accommodate a few people at a time, it’s best to avoid peak hours. ⸻ 🍱 Meals: Included and Delicious Our stay included both breakfast and dinner, and the food was outstanding. A beautifully arranged kaiseki-style dinner showcased seasonal ingredients, fresh sashimi, grilled seafood, and hot pots. Breakfast was equally satisfying with a variety of small dishes and a perfectly cooked grilled fish. Everything was crafted with care and served with hospitality. ⸻ 📝 Suggestions: • Bring a tripod if you’re planning to do photography or time-lapses — the view is too good not to capture properly. • Try both the indoor and outdoor onsen during quiet hours to fully enjoy the experience. • Use the shuttle service if you’re carrying large luggage, as the walk (while scenic) do take around 30 minutes. ⸻ ⭐ Final Verdict: 9/10 Hotel Mifujien is all about the view — and it delivers. Combine that with great meals, clean traditional rooms, and hot springs, and you have the perfect base to enjoy Mt. Fuji in all its glory.

AAnonymous UserThe location is a bit remote. It's not very convenient to get in and out. I booked it because I wanted to find a large room with four single beds. I didn't expect the location to be inconvenient before I went there. Other facilities are OK. Clean. But the location is not good. You need to walk to the parking place. It will be troublesome when it rains.

MM238400****I booked this room specifically for the Mt. Fuji view. It was much cheaper than other hotels in the area, but really, all you're getting is the view and a place to sleep. I hadn't booked a room with an outdoor hot spring, but there wasn't even a bathtub in the bathroom, nor a large public bath. For this price, I really think there should be a tub. For meals, sukiyaki was the only option, so thankfully I'd bought some ready-to-eat meals at 7-Eleven. The view was good though.

SShanghaiqianqianThis hotel might be the best value for money by the lake. It's directly facing Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mount Fuji is right to the left, so you can enjoy beautiful views without even leaving the hotel. The breakfast buffet is incredibly rich and the hotel service is excellent. Highly recommended!

SStephaniezdpThe room is a Japanese-style tatami, and there's a hot spring right on the first floor, located by Lake Kawaguchiko. Dining at night can be a bit of a hassle; if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you'll need to walk about ten minutes to an izakaya. Be sure to check the bus schedule at the entrance beforehand, otherwise, it's nearly a 20-minute walk to Kawaguchiko Station. There are buses to the outlet mall at 9:10 AM and 10:10 AM, but on popular days, it's advisable to buy tickets in advance as there might not be seats available if you buy on the spot. On-site purchases require a credit card or cash; Alipay and WeChat are not accepted. I imagine Lake Kawaguchiko would be beautiful during cherry blossom season, but in winter, I personally prefer staying at Lake Yamanakako for the beautiful lakeside cycling.

AAnonymous UserI love everything here, the room, the view from the room, the onsen and the dinner set. Just a couple of small things. When I asked if we could use the hotel bicycles, the front says it’s not for guests. However, I did saw a couple of tourists ride them the next day. One thing I think could be improved is, door lock is still using key. Would be better if changed to keycard.
