Fantastic hotel with just located opposite the Kyoto station., Very convenient for travelling around by subway and bus, there are many restaurants and supermarkets within and nearby the Kyoto station. Breakfast ptovided with 3 choices of restaurants ,we love the Japanese and western buffet style. However the room is not very clean and space not able to open 3 middle of luggages at the sme time, but the service good ,it solved our problem immediately ,overall highly recommended

This hotel offers an excellent overall experience. The rooms are clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and good soundproofing, ensuring a quiet night's rest. The front desk staff are warm and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The location is convenient, with many dining and transportation options nearby. The breakfast selection is extensive and consistently good. It's great value for money, suitable for both business trips and leisure stays. I would definitely choose it again.

Facilities: Well-equipped, spacious room with a cozy wooden design. Hygiene: Very clean, and the bathroom is large. Environment: Very close to the subway station, and the surrounding area is quiet. Service: Very welcoming, and they even gave us a small gift.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. That day, I traveled all the way from Wakkanai after visiting Cape Soya, then flew from Chitose Airport to Osaka, and finally arrived in Kyoto. I was incredibly exhausted, both mentally and physically. Beyond the usual tea bags and shower gel found in Japanese hotels, this place offered premium amenities like bath salts. But the best part was that this hotel has a 'power on' system for the room key! This meant I could leave the room with my card, and the electricity wouldn't shut off! You could also tell the local environment was pretty good; the birds on the street weren't afraid of people at all. They'd walk right next to the sidewalk, and wouldn't fly away even when people passed by.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Station: During autumn, they have a display in the lobby showing the fall foliage status of several temples, along with the day's weather. The rooms are decent, and it's not too far from Kyoto Station, but there's no public bath. You can pick up complimentary toiletries by the elevators. Staff greetings are a hit or miss. The biggest downside is breakfast; it's quite poor compared to other Mitsui hotels, with limited choices and average taste.

The hotel's location is great, not far from Shijo Karasuma subway station, and there are many buses downstairs, making it super convenient to explore Kyoto city with a one-day pass. The room I booked was quite spacious, perfect for enjoying late-night snacks or instant noodles comfortably. Although I didn't get to use it, I saw many guests utilizing the large communal bath on the first floor, so it seems like a good amenity.

A very standard Fresa Inn. If you're a member, you can check in at 2 PM and check out at 12 PM. The room is more than enough for one person, and all the amenities are provided. The staff's English is quite good, and they even have a handheld translation device. Exiting the hotel, turn right, and you'll find Exit 4 of Shijo Subway Station, with a very convenient elevator entrance. Turn left, and you're at Daimaru Department Store. To go to Osaka, you can take the Hankyu Railway directly, no need to go to Kyoto Station first. Fresa Inn is my favorite business hotel brand in Japan, highly recommended!

The room isn't small and the location is excellent, making it really convenient for getting around and dining. We stayed for two nights and opted out of housekeeping, but the hotel thoughtfully hung fresh towels on our door, which was a very nice touch.

Extremely satisfied, this hotel offers great value for money. For someone with a bit of a潔癖 (germophobia), the overall environment was clean and tidy. The room wasn't small (the double bed allowed access from both sides), there was a bathtub (though I didn't have time to use it), and the bathroom design was well-thought-out (separate wet and dry areas, convenient for two people to use simultaneously). Public facilities included a water dispenser, coin-operated washing machine, and a public bath 👍. The hotel lobby has a convenience store, and it's right next to a JR station (convenient for visiting Arashiyama and just one stop from Kyoto Station). There are also bus stops nearby, which was incredibly convenient; I took the bus back to the hotel from Shijo every day. Highly recommend it; I'd probably choose this place again on my next trip to Kyoto.

This hotel is in a great location nearly next to Nishiki Market. Around the hotel is very quiet. The room we received was facing the graveyard, I’m not sure why there are so many negatives reviews about it but we had no problems with it. No ****** visited us😋😅 The bed was very spacious but a little hard. The pillows were also quite hard so we woke up sore a few times… overall the room was very clean and amenities were available downstairs if needed like toothbrush or qtips. The staff were very kind and brought our luggage to our room before we arrived through luggage forwarding. After check out, they also allowed us to store it in the back for a few hours.

GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious, about 20 square meters, so there was plenty of space to lay out luggage without any worries. The bathroom was also a good size with a separate wet and dry area. However, I didn't use the shower there as I went to the large public bath on the 9th floor instead. Soaking in it was a great way to relieve the fatigue of a day of travel. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a bus stop, offering easy access to places like the National Museum, Ichiran Ramen (Shijo branch), and Shinshindo Bakery (Shijo branch).

XXiaobaituaimiI've stayed at Tokyu hotels a few times before and generally found them acceptable, but this particular Tokyu Hotel has a terrible location. Transportation is incredibly inconvenient, and there isn't even a bus stop nearby. It's at least a 10-minute walk to the nearest subway station. The shuttle bus to Kyoto Station only runs every 30 minutes, so you still end up waiting a long time. The 3300 yen breakfast was also incredibly basic, worse than what you'd get for 1800 yen at a standard business hotel. The worst part was the room temperature on cold winter nights. I woke up freezing in the middle of the first night and ended up catching a cold with a runny nose. What's more, the air conditioning panel only allowed for adjusting the fan speed, not the temperature. The hotel was also undergoing renovations during my stay, so I spent the entire second day out and about. Taxis in Kyoto are quite expensive; a 2-kilometer ride from Kawaramachi back to the hotel cost 1600 yen. It would definitely be more convenient to stay near Kyoto Station.

IiamnotdelicateThe basic room type isn't in the main building; you have to walk up to the main building each time to have breakfast or soak in the onsen (hot spring). And it's not a real onsen; my friend's superior room was the real onsen. We were given a small room at the back of the hotel, but thankfully there weren't too many graves. When I asked the staff at the entrance to take photos for me, they were very reluctant and had a sour face. At night, on my way back to my room from my friend's, the receptionist on duty in the lobby was also very rude. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the service. The facilities are excellent, very new, and the hotel is quite small, but that's typical for Japanese hotels. The decor is also very nice; the aesthetics are on point. There are at least three cemeteries and a bunch of shrines nearby; bring some amulets if you like.

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts a quiet location, tucked away on a peaceful lane, yet it's only about a 10-minute walk to the bustling city center and many attractions, which I really appreciated. The staff were friendly and polite, and the room hygiene met standards. The hot spring was uncrowded and clean, both inside and out. The only thing that wasn't ideal was the hotel restaurant. I had dinner there once, the tempura set, and it was all tempura, which was quite greasy. The combination of dishes wasn't very healthy or refined. Other than that, I was very satisfied and would choose to stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.

GGuest UserTo start with the positives, the hotel was well located and easily accessible using the metro from Kyoto station. The room was a decent enough size and the staff were friendly and helpful. One major issue we encountered during our stay was the level of humidity in the room. The extractor fan didn't seem to be doing anything to impact moisture in the room, particularly after a warm shower. There was some treated glass above the sink and often this was the only area without moisture well over half an hour after having a shower. (Photos attached) This also meant that towels weren't drying correctly and created an unpleasant environment and ultimately odour in the room. The humidity was so high that the windows were dripping with water consistently and the window sill was actually wet. Additionally the absence of a full wardrobe (just a rail with hangers on) also created challenges when staying for longer than a couple of days and this combined with the humidity made the washing machine almost obsolete.

Llucky333This was the second hotel on our Japan trip, and it was excellent! The hotel is located directly across from Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit. Since we had a JR Pass, staying near the station made getting around much easier. **Facilities:** It's a self-check-in hotel. We paid the accommodation tax first. Next to the self-service machine, there were toiletries that you could take as needed. Although the room was small, it had everything you could want: a refrigerator, humidifier, TV, bathtub, and smart toilet. The room heating was strong, but you could adjust the temperature if it felt too stuffy. **Cleanliness:** It was clean. We stayed for three nights and didn't request housekeeping. They provided pajamas, and they were really nice! It's a shame that there's a shipping fee if you buy them from the official website. It would be great if the hotel front desk sold new ones. **Environment:** There's a 7-Eleven on the ground floor of the hotel. Guests can enter directly from the side of the lobby, and when returning, you can swipe your room card at the 7-Eleven to enter the lobby. This is great in cold weather as you don't need to go outside to visit the convenience store for food. The surrounding area has many shopping options, including Don Quijote, Aeon Mall, drugstores, and various eateries. There's even more inside the station! Isetan, Porta, Takashimaya. If you exit towards the Kyoto Theater, you can see Kyoto Tower. There's also a sightseeing bus to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and you can just use your Suica card. You can even walk to Yodobashi Camera. **Service:** The hotel staff were respectful and polite to guests. You can store your luggage after checking out. Our luggage was sent from our previous hotel, but if you want to send luggage to your next hotel, you have to arrange the courier yourself. It's very convenient to take the Shinkansen from Kyoto Station to Tokyo! This hotel is highly recommended, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto!

JJiaoluodedunjueThe location is excellent, right opposite Kyoto Station, very close to the airport bus stop, and also near Aeon Mall. There's a 7-Eleven supermarket just down the street. Check-in is self-service on a machine, which can be switched to Chinese, and staff are on hand to assist. You pay for the accommodation on-site. The lobby offers self-service coffee, tea bags, toothbrushes, and more. There's also a microwave, with chopsticks, spoons, forks, etc., conveniently located next to it – very well-equipped. The family room size is good, and the facilities are complete. The only downside is that it gets very dry in the winter, and the humidifier isn't adjustable. Overall, it's still very good. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserThe biggest drawback was the size of the room for the price we paid. We could not even open our suitcases on the floor. There is no water in your room, you have to go downstairs to have a drink of water. Do not have breakfast there, it's too expensive (if you cannot eat everything) . There is a supermarket (LIFE) a few meters away with a very nice bakery. The hotel do however have all the toiletries available next to reception counter. Also coffee in the mornings from 6.30am with water and juice. A sauna and a hot pool, but you have to be in your *************. Not suitable for everyone. I enjoyed our bathroom the most, as the shower was amazing.

MMK4447The cleanliness was a minor letdown; there were a few strands of hair on the tatami mats. However, the staff's response and service were exceptional. They always smiled and communicated slowly, even with my broken English and translation app. There was even a staff member who spoke Korean. I didn't try the public bath, but I added the private bath, and it was perfect for washing away travel fatigue. It would be great for families or couples. I also ordered breakfast but unfortunately, I was too tired on the third day of my trip and slept through it. The location is fantastic – just a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and it's tucked away in an alley, making it very quiet. If you want to experience a ryokan with a touch of luxury, I highly recommend it.
