Had the good fortune of stumbling across Martinborough on my way to Wellington. It's a quaint place with a variety of well appointed cabins with gas fireplaces and spa baths just outside the cute village of cafes, shops and wineries. Their team is kind and hardworking. 💯
Bring your own food since you'll have a kitchenette and food can be limited during the day since most places don't open until evening or the weekends for tourists. Also, recommend driving since it's both expensive and challenging to get around outside of the limited free shuttle. Bikes are available to rent for $40NZD 🤑🤑

The hotel is in a great location, on Cuba Street, a food street with many restaurants that can be changed every day. In addition, it is located in the downtown area and is close to various scenic spots, which can be reached in about 10-15 minutes on foot. It is also very convenient to take an Uber, and you can reach the scenic spots in a few minutes. The room is quite large, and the single bed in the twin room is also 1.35 meters wide, which is very spacious for sleeping with children. The carpet is also relatively new and feels very clean. It is the first choice for family travel. The front desk service is also very good, and there are Chinese-speaking employees. I will definitely stay in this hotel again when I come to Wellington next time.

First, let me praise the location. It's very convenient to everything, just a 3-minute drive from the ferry. Parking is also convenient. There's a public parking lot right to the hotel, with hourly rates (remember, 0-1 hour is $8). You can also choose the hotel's valet parking for $50 per day. It depends on your needs. We stayed two days and walked most of the time. The National Museum, the Parliament Building, and Cuba Street are all within a 15-minute walk of the hotel. The waterfront is across from the hotel, making for a pleasant stroll along the waterfront.
A few negatives: The bathroom wasn't very clean. There were five or six blond hairs from previous guests on the bathroom wall, and chocolate stains on the carpet. The two free bottles of water were refilled on the first day, but they were taken away on the second day. I bought my own water and didn't ask for them. However, the cleanliness and room quality are quite different from those in China.
I highly recommend the breakfast staff and the gentleman who runs the express check-in service on the first floor. Although the breakfast selection is limited, the service was excellent. He proactively cared for the children and collected the plates promptly. The gentleman on the first floor was efficient, attentive, and attentive. Overall, the substandard hygiene is really annoying, but the location of the hotel is amazing. Friends who want to stay in Wellington can still consider staying here.

First of all, thank you Sofitel Wellington for the good service provided, and thank you Ctrip for the good service, which made the guests have a satisfactory stay experience. Then, I wish Sofitel Wellington and its staff: happiness! Happiness! Prosperity! I wish Ctrip and its staff: happiness! Happiness! Prosperity!
The specific comments are as follows: 1. Location, Sofitel Wellington Hotel is located in the center of the capital of New Zealand, near the Parliament Building, near the sightseeing train, and opposite the hotel is the five-star Bolton Hotel. 2. Star rating, from the hardware facilities, with the same price of five-star, the so-called 5⭐ star, is not satisfactory. Why, there is no swimming pool, no garden, and no free parking lot, so parking is a problem. Ctrip marked the hotel as valet parking. From the software service, the attitude is very good, but there is no foreign language dialogue service, here refers to ☞ no Chinese service, so it is basically enough for 5⭐ stars. 3. Breakfast, basically European style with French 🇫🇷 as the main style. The restaurant is small, but the hygiene, service, hot processing, on-site production, etc. are quite good. 4. The room is clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable, there is a small refrigerator and a ”minibar”, a desk, wifi, murals, bedside tables, wardrobes, coffee machines, hair dryers, etc. The hotel will not proactively provide disposable toothbrushes and bottled water, but guests can ask for them separately. 5. During Easter, the hotel hung a chocolate cookie made by the hotel outside the guest room door as a gift to the guests, which was quite warm. In addition, the hotel has a very small lounge and a very small gym.
Overall, it can get 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars, thank you!
Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to Sofitel Wellington for providing excellent service, as well as Ctrip for providing excellent service and providing guests with a satisfactory stay experience. Next, I wish Sofitel Wellington and its staff: happiness and happiness! Happy! Abundant financial resources! Wishing Ctrip and its staff happiness and happiness! Happy! Abundant financial resources!

The hotel front desk service is professional and polite. I met a Chinese waiter who enthusiastically introduced the route. There is a free chocolate party every afternoon and rich content in the morning, which is very convenient for guests staying in the hotel.

Also called QT Hotel, because of its name, the museum hotel uses a lot of modern art works in its decoration, especially in the public areas, which is unique and full of artistic atmosphere. The hotel bar and restaurant are OK, and the front desk is open 24 hours. Since it is a serviced apartment hotel, there are kitchen equipment in the room, as well as washing and drying machines. There is a large supermarket ”New World” outside the hotel, which makes it very convenient to buy vegetables and cook by yourself. Everything is good. It is located in the bay, only 500 to 800 meters away from the city center. There are many restaurants on the pier, as well as a food city. One of the seafood restaurants with Antarctic crabs as a gimmick is good.

The location of the hotel is very good, in the city center, next to the Parliament Building, not far from the ferry, the room is spacious and clean, with kitchen facilities similar to an apartment, very suitable for family travel. The breakfast has fewer types than Hilton, but the quality is okay, 35nzd is half price for a child (my family is 3 and a half years old), and the hotel helps with parking for 40nzd, which is still very convenient. After all, the hotels in Wellington are basically not easy to park, after all, the city center is very expensive.
The view from the room is good, there is a green area outside the window, which is the local cemetery (the locals don't mind these, it's very similar to Japan), and I personally don't think it matters, after all, the environment is very good.
I love the team at Ohtel. Everyone is so lovely. I got my flight cancelled due to weather and I rebooked the place. Now enjoying my beautiful see view room.

GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly, welcoming & very efficient. They took the time to go out of their way to make us comfortable.
The lift & room was just a little bit older around the edges, but still very good! The bed was heavenly-soft & lovely, we just wish we'd had time to rest & relax more than one night in Wellington!

JJennie DownunderWe just stayed for a night. Value for money and superb location. Shops and F&B are just around the area. Easy check-in and check out. Highly recommended for short stay.
MMC PeteRooms at end of corridor on other side to China Street appear to be able to connect with the room opposite the corridor. However there is clearly insufficient sound proofing between them. Because I was a bit annoyed to receive a phone call from the desk around 10.30pm to pass on i presume the guests in that room, complaining of the noise from my room. I was alone and watching TV at a deliberately low volume that I simply cannot believe was annoying the guests next door. I could just hear it from INSIDE my room so it must have been barely audible next door. Despite poor sound proofing.
But worse than that it seems they also accused me of smoking as the desk also passed on this complaint. However, MUST have been from another room or maybe even from the street if they had their window open. Why? I don't smoke so by definition not me!
GGuest UserWe needed somewhere cheap and cheerful before the ferry. This was fine and good value for the $ paid. Lovely receptionist who was very helpful.
Actual room dated and tired, and could hear street noise. But it did the job and was cheap and felt secure for the area.
GGuest UserThe room is very clean, the layout is very reasonable, the room temperature is particularly warm, the service is very good, will stay next time
GGuest UserWhat a fantastic hotel/apt studio right in the heart of Wellington CBD. For the price and amenities, it really can't be beaten. I'd paid more previously at TRYP, but this Quest location is far better. 👍 Although the room is the same size, it has far more amenities w a kitchenette, eating area, washer/dryer and toiletries. Right outside it's easy to find eateries and you're in walking distance of the cable car, the museum, shopping and sundries.
Can't recommend this place enough if you want bang for your buck, and you don't plan on being in the room long. Great for layovers.
P.s.- they have limited reception hours, so if you're arriving after 7pm or require assistance, this place might not be for you. Very self-service.
AAnthony1812The first room we stayed in had a leaking roof outside the door. The door itself would not close easily and need very strong force. Shower good, aircon good.
We were then quickly moved to Room 2. No aircon (Heatpump). The heater fan was like a 747 winding up for take off, Shower floor tiles very slippery, shower good temp and flow. On the last day the door lock failed completely.
Clearly work is needed as during rain, there were several roof leaks with buckets underneath.
Staff were helpful and communicated well.
The premises are not what they were 40 years ago.
Restaurant food selection rather limited.
Food supplies and drinks especially were low or unavailable.
GGuest UserHad a great visit to Wellington. Enjoyed the hotel and the service was excellent. As with most Hotels we have stayed at recently they are a bit dated. Room was very clean, room service was good and the bathroom was excellent and looked to have been renovated in recent years. All in all very happy with our stay.
