Delighted to stay at this hotel close to University Campus (though I was not a student). Was an actual hotel from a Spanish hotel chain not a ”B&B” so don't be fooled.
Close proximity to Historical Guimares and castle.
Free coffee 24/7 at lobby.
Staff was informative and helpful.
Building located slightly up the hill with about 15 free parking spaces.
Unbeatable location, great views, and a delicious breakfast, although limited in options and slow to replenish.
It was very hot at night because they didn't indicate that the air conditioning wasn't set to cold.
The hotel was generally well-maintained and attractive, and the spa area was pleasant.
Great hotel near the station. Small room, but has everything you need. Cons - uncomfortable pillows, there were 4 to choose from and all with lumps inside. There is a restaurant on the first floor, you can see the menu in the elevator, very good and relatively inexpensive.
Well setup rooms, I stayed twice over 2 weeks as I need to be back in Braga for my mum’s follow up check cos of a fall in our initial Air B&B accommodation in Braga which had a lousy lift ended up my mum fell off the stairs which has poor visibility and marking.
Bruges is close to old town, easy walk to cafes, shops, Minho Uni, cathedral and all.
Will love to stay if I ever come back to Braga.
The hotel has complete facilities, elegant and comfortable environment, large rooms, good service attitude, but the parking space is a public parking lot with limited parking spaces.
Location near a noisy route, the doors of all the neighboring rooms are very noisy, constantly waking up from noise. The room is clean, but not comfortable. No fan. A comfortable bed, but it was impossible to sleep because the windows were coming out of the road.
Magnificent experience and location. Located next to Bom Jesus. View of the sanctuary from the room. Very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very basic, not up to par with the overall experience. I would still stay here again.
A minha experiência no Maison Albar Amoure foi simplesmente inesquecível — tudo absolutamente perfeito do início ao fim! ✨

SSan QThe hotel has complete facilities, elegant and comfortable environment, large rooms, good service attitude, but the parking space is a public parking lot with limited parking spaces.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in an ancient monastery and it makes all the charm and attraction of the place if you like ”old stones and historical places”. The renovation has kept the original building and improved it to todays comfort. The rooms ( cells) are small but well fitted with a comfortable bed and functional bathroom. You can feel History when you enter the building and anywhere you walk . They have a big outdoor park for pleasant walks .
The church adjacent to the Hotel is worth visiting. I was staying on a weekend and I attended the Sunday mass.
My only negative note is on the breakfast which is very disappointing in terms of product variety and quality. The set up of the breakfast buffet is very poor and not attractive at all. The breakfast team is not as welcoming and friendly as the front desk or lady at the bar, which is not meeting one's expectations in such a place.
JJoão Aires MartinsÓtima qualidade de serviço, pequeno almoço muito bom, instalações limpas e boas.
Muita simpatia e profissionalismo da equipa presente.
GGuest UserCasa de Santa Comba is absolutely lush. The staff are very relaxed and flexible, having to arrive late was no problem, and they were very accommodating of us at breakfast as were vegetarian and there aren’t many vegetarians in Portugal! They were also very accommodating when we requested a fridge for our wine. The building and surrounding estate is beautiful, with lots of animals around – geese, horses, dogs, swallows, fish in the ponds – and lots of lemon trees bursting with fruit and beautiful flower bushes everywhere. A dreamy place, would love to stay here again. Will miss the bright morning song of the canary in their office which you can hear from the breakfast room!
GGuest UserMy stay at was fantastic. The location is excellent, situated close to key attractions and public transport. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of delicious options. I also enjoyed the hotel's fitness center and pool, which were both well-maintained. Overall, my experience was wonderful, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
TTiagoIt is a nice hotel right in front of S. Bento’s church. It has a couple of restaurants nearby but we always had dinner at the hotel. Great food, both breakfast and dinner, and each plate had a very generous amount of food, good enough to share with another person. Pillows are too soft, beds are good, rooms are also nice but are not sound proof. You can access the Spa for an hour as long as you book it in advance and it costs you 10€ per person.
ААнтон МангилевThe most important thing — this is not really spa hotel. There is spa center across the road, but the only one benefit that you have as a guest of the hotel is 10% discount. In total if you want to have a spa, you must pay extra 30 euros per person per day. I think its not so fare for guests. And the second thing is that you have only scrambled eggs and bacon as a hot dish for the breakfast.
In the rest moments — everything is fine, staff is friendly, room was clean (but there is no fridge or mini-bar, that strange).
GGuest UserPositives:
- room was very clean.
- there was outdoor parking and a garage, which was great.
- there was working AC
- breakfast had much variety, though not much fruit and it offered very sugar-rich products.
Negatives:
- even with the AC on, the room was really hot.
- the location is good because it's near the center, however, it was very loud at night and we struggled to fall asleep.
- you pay too much for what you get.
